I've just bought the same interface and no problems at all. Not with latency (even with VI) or ipad connectivity. Everything works as a charm. I'm using Mac Mojave and a dedicated USB 3.0 port.

One more question… Can this be used without the DAW running? For instance, if my band wants to rehearse, will this act like a "mixer" and pass sound to headphone amps without having to run StudioOne? I currently have the Quantum interface and I don't like that I have to run a StudioOne session for monitoring.
It certainly runs without studio one. I use it for mixing my live shows etc. But I need to double check if it can do without PC switched on. Will check for you.
@@CreativeSauce were you ever able to confirm this? Info online seems contradictory on whether a computer needs to be on, including the info Presonus has posted about it. I'm actually hoping to use it on Android using Audio Evolution Mobile as a DAW. So hard to find goog info about that setup. AEM has done great things to resolve some of Android's inherent audio/music creation issues. Great video btw. I know this is old, but such an informative and easy to follow approach. Kudos.
This now makes me wish I saved a little more and purchased Studio 192 rather than the Studio 1824. I think I was looking at both and got confused that the Studio 1824 also had the built-in DSP. Maybe the next one...
Yeah, it's funny even the quantum doesn't have DSP. They claim the latency is so low that it's not needed, and can just use inserts in the DAW. I personally prefer to have it on the interface.
So the new FAT Channel plugin has been updated to include some analogue modeling options. Can you use those with the Studio192? Or is it just the "digital" EQ and Comp?

Thanks for your information. I got one after listening your information. But unfortunately I have an issue on connecting iPad to the device. Tried with 3 computers, but all failed. One computer cannot even see the device at all. Went to the forum, but no help. Wondering if you have any idea? My Presonus AudioBox 1818 that I bought 6 years ago works fine, but not this one. I'm so disappointed. Even I used 3 different routers, and still failed to work. It's great if you or anybody out there can help me out. Thank you.
Heya, damn that annoying. What I have found a couple of times is that it may matter which order you switch things on. Try for example turning on the 192 first, then the PC. Then when Windows has completely started try connecting. Or try to start Windows first, then the 192 after Windows has completely started. I just remember one day I couldn't get it to work, and I tried this and a certain sequence seemed to work! Other ideas would be to disable the firewall temporarily, and maybe even you anti virus. You may need to make a firewall exception for the presonus software. Also, do make sure that the software on your PC is up to date, that you have the latest firmware, and that the iOS app is updated. Let me know how you go!

How do you send signal to outboard gears while mixing using pipeline in S1v4? Am having difficulties. Am also using Studio 192. No signal goes through my external gears!

Yes, same. When I upgraded my PC, I had a problem with connecting the iPad, but it turned out just to be the Firewall blocking it

The C-Series also doesn't have DSP
Can you use the dsp fx for mixing? Or is this just for recording? And on how many channel? That's what I'd like to know.
