I know this is old but I’ve just found this video. What a beautiful carp & @ 83lbs certainly is a fish of a lifetime and why we go carp fishing for these kinda moments. Great work Simon 😎👍🏼
What a fish , Well done Simon

I understand your point but believe me there is nothing pointless about catching a carp of this size, ever for any reason. Secondly a pb is just one of many things we aim for in our fishing. A water like this probably has much nicer fish in it that are actually more searched for and wanted by the anglers fishing there than the largest carp in the water. Some may love the scale patters, colours or just something else about certain fish and quite often they are harder to catch than the largest pb carp are. A pb is just of many achievements to aim for. I have had a 74lb mirror from a lake in france and yet there is a 31lb carp in there that I would have much rather had caught but I cant seem to get it. Yes my pb is 74lb but my aim is that smaller carp I have always wanted from that water..
what a cracking catch well done and to all you haters get a life the man has just achieved an angling dream how can you hate on that obv you don't understand. congrats on your big catch i thought you deserved to let him go though but guess thats between you 2
I would have thought zigs were the order of the day when you had so many carp out in open water.Very surprised you didn’t try them.
