The current elders built a great nation for their offsprings. They worked 7 days a week with no days for rest except national holidays they ate less to give more to their children and they made sure the kids went to school however far it was away. Govt led and encouraged and helprd the citizens to help themselves and Govt sent 10's and thousands of smart students to study abroad (US) who came back with phD's from top US universities in science and math that was the backbone of technology development of industries.

master universe JFK refused the next cycle of economic aid. He wanted Korea to stay an agriculture based economy. The farmland was above the DMZ. Park normalized relations with the Japan in spite of the protest of citizens and gained 600, million in aid from Japan.

master universe honey I don’t need this history lesson. I have family who lived it!

    • @karendalsadik7119

master universe oic this is a Japanese apologist platform. This is about Korea. Not your inbred neighbors who became CRAZY Shito master race crazy and sttacked all over the world. I am over you, so over you. No new evidence Just ”Koreans couldn’t do it without the Japanese” Hey you got kicked out. Korea took your shit on a fire sale and became Chaebols Sure they were educated in Japan. They became Zaibatsu with a Korean flourish.

    • @karendalsadik7119
      @karendalsadik7119 5 лет назад

master universe also remember Korea knows how to turn trash into something worthwhile! So you colonize another country, take away their property, their LANGUAGE and all the education is in Japanese, and even cultural practices are allowed, Anyone who spoke Korean, recognized holidays or even sung Korean Folk Songs was punishable by death. So go the eff home. They didn’t need inferior crazed JAPANESE educators. The Japanese were out and any trash left behind was turned into something purposeful to Korea. I can only hope our brothers and sisters in the North can be reunified without the disgusting Russian interference or the now evilest empire US interfering. Now I am really over you. I am really over you. Completely over you with your sick Abe.

in 1950. South Korea was the country of poverty and hopelessness. most of the people thought there's no hope in their country.
but, in 1963. President Park Chung hee and South Korean people who really wanted their children live better, do not starve anymore, did the work so that South Korean live better now.
Koreans should be love and respect their parents and Park Chung hee

When looking at the process of economic development in Korea,
which is often referred to as ‘the miracle of the Han River,’
the most crucial factor that led to economic success was the
establishment of the second Five-Year Economic Development
Plan (1967-1971). When it comes to Korea’s economic
relationship with Japan after diplomatic normalization in 1965,
as many experts have pointed out, it is clear that Japan played
an important role in triggering Korea’s compressed economic
development through Japan’s ODA to Korea, trade expansion,
and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) by Japanese firms.
When Seoul and Tokyo signed the Treaty on Basic Relations
between the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Japan, it was agreed
that the Japanese government would provide financial aid to
Korea including grant aid of $300 million, loan aid of $200
million, and commercial loans of $300 million. The Korean
government decided to invest $120 million out of $500 million
(combined grant loan and loan aid) into the construction of
Pohang Steelworks which was Korea’s leading steel maker.
In this process Japanese steel makers such as Yawata Steel
(now Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal) also engaged in
technical cooperation with Pohang Steelworks. At that time,
the Japanese Export Promoting Agency such as the ExportImport
Bank of Japan (now the Japan Bank for International
Cooperation) provided over $500 million as a commercial loan
through the Korean government and this loan was utilized to
import machinery and industrial plants from Japan.1
    In other
words, Japan’s ODA to Korea laid the basis for the economic
development of Korea, focusing on the manufacturing sector.
On the other hand, it also played a significant role in increasing
Korea’s level of economic dependency on Japan.
By analyzing the trade data between Korea and Japan during
the process of Korea’s economic development, it is possible
to observe the extent to which the Korean economy relied on
    Japan.
