Marty Music tks great channel btw
Marty Music please terach me how to play bad reputation by Joan jett & the black hearts 😁
Marty Music love the channel! Could you take a look at umphreys McGee - in the kitchen. Classic little tune
I'd be happy just playing in a CCR cover band my whole life.
So simple and bad ass in equal measure.
Good luck finding your Fogarty :)
How can a song so simple be so badass. Genius
I love ccr i just can't get enough of it !!!!
Just in case you’re struggling to get this sound with a vibrato pedal, you’ll need to use a tremolo pedal. Marty calls it a vibrato setting at the start and that is probably a “fender amp vibrato” setting. Early fender amps labeled their tremolo circuits vibrato ( tremolo is volume up and down). Conversely the tremolo bar on a guitar actually does pitch up and down (vibrato). Thanks for the lessons Marty.
True. I have a 61' Fender Pro-Amp. 6g5. It is a tremelo effect but is called vibrato on the amp. The 6g5A was similar with 1 extra tube circuit in the later models and different tubes as well.
See, Leo Fender was both a genius and a GODDAMN FUCKING IDIOT!!!
Leo wasn't a musician and didn't actually know the difference between the two
i would love to see marty doing some covers/improvisation of the songs he teaches or just any song in general. amirite?
You are the best teacher in the entire internet😊😊.. Watching the video where you teach Can't stop by RHCP and learning it right now.. Much respect and love from me and from those who learn a lot from you😊
Man over a decade of Mr Marty, I think it would be so cool if u take ur best commenters and write down stuff we ask or say that you like and than catch us up with how you have been?
Feels like I know ya personally and I can’t be the only one🥂
CCR is my favorite band
This era of music talent never ceases to amaze me. "the beat goes on" good choice Marty.
Dude we appreciate these but we want the solos too, there aren't many videos on Fogerty's swampy soloing
Marty I love how you take an incredibly awesome song, & simplify it for the average guitar player. Kudos, m’man!!
To me the beginning notes are iconic... almost like sweet home alabama, you can already tell what song it is. Great video btw really informal, thank you
Your the only music teacher I've ever had. Love You Marty ☆◇♤ I love my Beatles T-shirt Too ❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome, man! I just love your lessons! Many songs that I play, I've learned with you. Congratulations for your excellent work!
You are the best teacher Marty. Love from Turkey!
I stumbled upon one of your videos by chance and now I’m hooked. All your videos that I’ve watched are detailed and you make them easy to follow. Just wish I had the ability to replicate what you teach. I played guitar a little in my younger days and now that I’m retired I have the time and desire to get back into it. Thanks for all you do.
You are the best, you helped me to learn almost every song I know .
Thank you , please never stop makin videos 😀
Beautiful lesson for a wonderful tune. A jamming tavern party classic.
Hey Marty, great song. You ought to hear it when they blast it over the sound system at a LSU football game on a Saturday night with a stadium that holds over 102,000 people, it will rock your world. Thanks, I hope things are going great !!!
Besides learning from a great teacher, my favorite part of the videos is when Marty gets into his singing. So funny...
Sending you love Marty!!!.....you bring me a lot of joy. Thanks for sharing,!!!
It's awesome, when you're looking for a lesson of a cool song and here's Marty😊👍
The world needs more Swamp Rock, thanks Marty. How about Green River & The Old Man Down the Road.
Love the way you explain! Extraordinary musician also with so much charisma. Thanks as always. Regards from Argentina.
I love CCR. Great job!
Thanks Marty. Will come in useful for our (yet to happen) CCR Tribute band!
I use a c7 on the ninth fret with a bar D and bar A. A buddy of mine saw CCR in concert and said he played the whole song on the upper half of the neck.
Marty, I've always played the opening E7 as a C7 shape with the root E on the 7th fret (A string). Start at B7 and slide up to the E7. On that chord, you'll be playing four E notes (really fills in the sound well). Then come back to the regular E7 for the strumming part. Try it out!
That's how fogerty plays it
Slide from A# to C7
Exactly. It's played up the neck. Some tremelo and a little amp break up and you're in swamp heaven.
Yes. You are correct, and once again as usual Marty misses the mark.
Exactly and thats the way i was taught at 12 years old. Its right and much better with a fender tremolo pedal. Its a simple song really.
Can you do more Stevie Ray Vaughn videos....you’re such a great teacher!!!!
Man since I been following your site, my repitour has been expanding exponentially... thanks again! jb
That classic intro should be my new ringtone.
Making something simple sound great man.
The Ebook is really awesome. Loved it Marty. Thanks

Amazing lesson thank you!
I think you teaching is really great that you could teacher at school and you would be an awesome guitar teacher, you would be the best teacher in the world.
Marty, would you do a tutorial on the solo from “Maybe I’m Amazed”? I need to know how to play it.
ayyyy, some more CCR!
Marty! Thanks for this great lesson. Also I support a few folks with Patreon and would prefer to do this with you each month. Your content is great and feel like I pinch it from you since I run adblock. I would much rather be a monthly patreon of Marty Music!
Keep up the great work!!!
Huh, I learned this song from an acoustic cover from Adam Pearce on here. And he plays that E7 with using the basic C7 shape on the 5th 6th and 7th fret and he used triads on the D and A chords. But this is a great lesson as always. Thanks Marty!
Wish I had a looper but can’t afford it right now , but love the Jam tracks ! 🎸😎👍🎸😎👍🎸😎👍
"Still - Seinabo Sey"
Literally not a single video on youtube that teaches that song, so keep up the good work and please make a good video lesson. thanks!
Just heard it a few hours ago. Interesting to see you breaking it down for us! Right on

Been following you for 6 years or so now and love this new channel Marty. Nice lesson here as well but one I would love to see you give a lesson on is John Fogertys (The Old Man Down the Road)

Could U make a video teaching the acoustic version "on a plain" by nirvana? I really like your teaching, u helped me at this begging stage I'm in, thx, man!!
wow!!!! that is really good marty.
I'd love to see you do No Sugar Tonight by the Guess Who. I haven't seen you do very many songs by Canadians.
Fogerty plus in drop D and his brother former band mate played in standard tune the two combined was a harmonic drone sound . Most likely inspired from a blues influence ..
Hi Marty. I have this idea that it would be really cool for you to have a tour at the House of Blues locations around the country. I would love to watch you play in that type of environment.
Lovely Marty Super good. For the groove Holy cow. He's using the $640. Delay pedal here holy cow.
Cool Marty I like it I'm going to try and practice that I love that swamp music sound thanks Marty the great delivery on that tune

Awesome stuff Marty!! How about some more CCR maybe, Commotion?
Hey, Marty! Love the work brother. I was curious, how are you getting the "clap/snare" style sound on some of those down strums? Are you stopping the strings with your strum hand? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Somewhere On A Beach by Dierks Bentley? really gotta have this one for my vacation! with the intro please!
Wow , I was looking to find this riff, and “Bang” you nailed it for me , Thanks,,,😃

The Dude Abides!
Didn’t you use the same guitar on the sweet child of mine solo tutorial way back, nice guitar, I can play that solo because of you by the way, thank you
Hey Marty, I love your videos! Do you think you could do All Things Must Pass???
What kind of equipment do you use(in laymen’s terms) to playback the strumming so you can play the lick on top?
Marty u should do for whom the bell tolls by metallica
Some Tragically Hip would be sick! Keep up the great work Marty :)
Hey could you do a lesson on Blue Jay Way by The Beatles? I absolutely love the song and want to learn how to play but couldn't find any good lessons that could help me, thanks!
Thanks for the lesson. Always loved this song. I'd really like to learn a "very" Old song called Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress by Buddy Holly
The Hollies. lol
G E B
I finger pick that is a lick I put in my warm up sound so cool
Awesome as usual.
Request- Please repost
Green Grass and hi tides
Thank you
Hey MartyI believe it sounds much better if you start with a C shape with the index finger on the 5th fret with Tremolo on . I learned this as a kid and it sounded much better. Give it a shot it sounds right and much better
Hey Marty, can you do the solos for Tennessee Whiskey? Thanks!
Marty is the man! Can you do “38 years old”- tragically hip :)
Awesome! Sticking with the same band, maybe a lesson on Lodi?

I think that having a HipHop genre song that you can play one guitar would be a neat idea
He did one for Lose Yourself a while ago.
The pusher - Steppinwolf
