For those who don't know, this was not originally audible 'sound' as sound doesn't travel in space. Speed doesn't matter either since it is space there is nothing to make the sound on the craft itself. These are recordings from a sensor(can't remember which one but I think for some kind of radio wave) modified and turned into sound.
Delta Mage In case you were addressing me . . . I've worked on projects involving 24 different spacecraft investigating every planet except Mercury and have lived on a planet orbiting a star my entire life. :-)
I thought I was the only person to be interested in space sounds, glad I am not alone. I fall asleep to your shared recordings every night! Thank you and sweet dreams!
I don't understand why people think this is creepy and scary. I listened to all of them and found it so fascinating to listen to. I had a feeling most people would jump to conclusion, that these wouldn't be real sound. What do we know? Our ancestors used to think the world was flat. Anyways, while listing to the sounds. A weird thought popped in my head. What if this is like how the planets communicate with each other, or sing to each other. Something like that. I know it sounds crazy but just a thought. And we act like we know so much about our solar system but we don't know everything, they might just be sound bytes, but defiantly worth listing too I think and to keep an open mind.
Interesting thoughts there. But interplanetary "communication" must be by gravitation, as the distances are too long for any magnetic interaction. But... the gravitational influences of other planets on Earth for example is a lot bigger than one would think" I have done a few simple calculations (and anyone can follow up) and the gravitational forces are surprisingly large. Made me reconsider some kind of modern/scientific form of "astrology" of sorts. Try to dive in, its not that hard and the results are really thought-provoking...
This is brilliant and so many other adjectives I cannot describe. Screw the sound of whales or birds chirping, or waves against the shore. This IS IT! Because it is all combined........
To hear a nature outside of the earth. To understand that there's a vastness beyond us rich in every life giving element. The heavens are always worth study.
In just an opinion, I DO believe this is actual sounds. Edited. You have to consider how close the Voyager was to these planets. If you move something so fast, there will be a sound to it. The bigger the object, the deeper the sound. The debris that makes up Saturns rings are no doubt flying around at a high rate of speed. Think about that.
Those are frequences converted in sound... because obiusly there's no air or medium to transport sound in the space... the sound needs a medium to be heard... this are frequences made sounds
I believe it's to do with electrons and their effects on radiation fields - look at things like Auroral Kilometric Radiation (AKR), ESAs Cluster WBD (Wide Band Data) etc. but sound cannot travel through the void. There are plenty of other signals on all frequencies on all spectra though. Signals need converting to audible sound for us to interpret.
If you are right, we will wait until our mongers fully take our consciences down before NASA truly brings us a high quality recording of the actual motherfucking noises. Then, sell it like secret shit cocaine from a government lab with scientists who know the world's greatest mixing shit. In other words, that means I will never ever get to hear it.
***** It can be called a void as far as audible sound is concerned - there are a lot of things in it like dust, ice crystals and hydrogen molecules etc. I use the term as it describes it well enough, there isn't enough for sound waves to bounce off and cause "sound" as we know it in our Earth atmosphere. 'Interplanetary space' may describe it better...
Although this sample is mostly human-generated, there is authentic "space audio" from plasma wave measurements. (I'll give you one guess as to where you might find some.) What are plasma waves and why do we call them "space audio"? Search for the video titled "What Space Sounds Like - ACOUSTICS" for a simple introduction.
I wonder where these electronic waves come from. Maybe it's a magnetic field. Sounds like spaceships traveling. LOL. But well... It's just wind that pics up a few electrons and carries them around faster and slower again and that produces some random noisy sound. It's physics and it doesn't open any door to any world anywhere else

There is, but because space is a virtual vacuum with terminal chill factor, you can't hear, but with the sensors, they can bring them back up to us.
MatthiasDuyck if speed doesn't matter then how do you explain " 340.29 m / s or
299 792 458 m / s
?
Thanks for the information I understand in a bit more

I've been playing these all night, while I did some writing and reading -- thanks for uploading these videos!
Spellbinding, now I know why Jimi Hendrix had a sounds of the planets record...trance inducing....very cool
Wow this really sounds like music. Hearing many things you would hear during psy trance... Very meditative.

hey..not only our ancestors believed the earth is flat..take a look here facebook.com/FlatEarthToday
Andra Elena People scare me, they really do. I know about the whole hollow earth thing but still.
People scare me a lot too. The funny thing is that this kind of people aren't only dumb, but they are in a large amount as well Oo

Whatever it is, it knocks me out every time.

These are sensor readings from the magnetic sensor converted to an audible format. This is the magnetic field of Saturn's rings in action.
If only Destiny had these ambient sounds. Maybe next time.

This reminds me of the closing theme music from the '70s sci-fi tv show "UFO" :)
Ok so this might not be the most exciting vid but somehow its still incredibly fascinating 😱😱😱
I wanna make a sci-fi film to this !
Kinda eerie and haunting but still cool and fascinating
i like your videos you should upload more videos
Feels amazing.

As Mr. Spock would say, fascinating..

That's good!
This is more convincing than the SATURN of GREEK MYTHOLOGY.
Psalm2:4TheVeryOneSittingInTheHeavensWillLaugh what, that Saturn was the bringer of life on earth itself? Maybe Saturn is god?
wow, vielen Dank !
To change DNA its terrific and magnificent... brain got active
Since there's no air in space, I have to wonder if it's the sound of the space ship itself
you could be right
Excuse me...but can sound travel in a vacuum?
Lenin is that you? :D
how can sound travel in a vacuum?
Where did you get the video of PULSAR SOUND.. I thought was yours
يا الله😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
How can they record sound when space is a vacuum and sound does not travel in a vacuum?
electro magnetic vibrations

In an another video that I saw, the saturn sounded different.... does saturn keeps on changing it's sound?
This is the sound of Saturn's rings. So I guess they're recording a different part?
scorer scorer Saturns rings are like a guitar string, therefore yes it changes sound 🔊 by different electromagnetic frequencies at that time.
Think of AM/FM radio switching from one to the other but extremely fast....
This is not sound, this is electromagnetic waves converted into sound.
Space is not a vacuum!
This isn't complete there are many sounds that have been edited out.

this is like floating in space
it sucks
too quiet, cant hear it.
