My great grandmother was a Filipino and Chinese cuban living in pinar del rio. I was able to grow up with both cuban and Asian foods growing up so I'm very happy to see this recipe! Muchas gracias❤
My family is from Havana & moved to Miami years ago. I grew up eating delicious Cuban cooking from my mother but she no longer is here. I truly thank you both for your wonderful recipes. ❤️

@@Lelitascubankitchen That's because I'm inventing it. Yuanyang is a Chinese drink made with black coffee, black tea, sweetened condensed milk, and sometimes chocolate. Going to add those flavors into a flan.
Where is the sweet side of maduros to go with the sweet fried rice? I always enjoyed eating this at a Chinese Cuban restaurant (La Oriental) in Miami with plantains when I was a kid. Good memories.
