Omg. This lady is going through what I am. My rent went up at the house. They took the 40$ I got as a raise in ssdi at the same time as the food stamps took 20$. That's why I don't want to get a raise
I turn 65 next year and I can't wait to get my park pass! I live close to several places I can use it. I just did my monthly "old lady shopping day" at Walgreens an hour ago 😊
How nice that you live close to some of the national parks !! I'm jealous !! Lol. Yes,Walgreendoes every month on Wednesday ,wasn't it !? We all should use any discount ,we just earn 'em as we age !! LOL 😆 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
@@spark_6710 I'm in Western Colorado, so I have the Colorado National Monument super close and I like to ride my motorcycle there. Arches is about 2 hrs away, Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park is 4, and if I want to road trip I can get to Grand Canyon in about 7... being a half hour from the Utah border I think puts me close to some others over there. (Walgreens is on the 1st Tuesday of the month. It used to be every Wednesday...)
@@lindahafer2982 no, it's 65. I recheck every year when I by my annual pass. For a Colorado state park pass however, it's now available with your vehicle registration.
I’m 60 years old and my husband is 68 and on Social Security. Right now I have been the one carrying the Amazon prime membership. I have my husband on the account as my one person share. My prime renewal is December 12. If I cancel my prime membership on December 11, can my husband sign up for the discounted rate since he’s on Social Security? And then can he do the one person share on the senior discount plan and add me?
I am on SSI. I cannot afford to shop on Amazon so the discount does not help me. I am on the State medical card, and Walgreens does not accept state medical cards, so that does not do me any good either. Also traveling to state parks is something that happens once every 6 years or so, when you are on SSI. Food discounts do not help either. When on SSI, whatever cost of living increase you get, food stamps takes away almost half of what you're increase was. Good try on your advice, but it mostly works for people on regular disability and retirement. For anyone on SSI, we get punished for being the poorest of the poor, other than being homeless.
If only people were given the same benefits illegals get. My neighbor worked so hard evite life gets $30 for food. Seniors and disabled shouldn't have to go to food banks to survive., we see the govt give livable benefits to illegals. Hopefully things might start to change.
When I was able to work, I was on various committees with Head start for children. I was on various local Town committees. Also with our local high school. Also working at my local hospital. After 40 years of serving my community, and country I have found that no matter how much you rally the troops, and shake the political tree, not much changes. The only thing I managed to change in 40 years, was, starting up support for battered men when I was a domestic violence counselor for our local DA. I have learned that things only change when the people at the top want it to, and when it suits and services them. n@@LightoftheMoon
Are you able to pay for Walmart Plus? They offer free delivery of groceries and free shipping and at times can be cheaper than Amazon if you buy sold by Walmart items. The membership for SNAP recipients is $50 for the whole year and you get Paramount plus for free as well. hth
@@shellyscholz1256 Depends on what your into I suppose. I've been recently binge watching Heroes and syfy type stuff. The Lord of the rings show is pretty good also even if the seasons are too short. I'm not sure if its still there or not but I there's those yesteryear type shows like Downton Abbey. Not sure if it's still there or not. Sometimes they switch things up, but they have more like those on there also. They have a lot sure you'll find things you like to watch. hth
These are great deals. My problem is, I always forget I’m a senior. 😁
😂
Same… + many times I have to show my ID to prove it 😊
You are giving out such a valuable information that many others do not include. Thank you.

So great to hear that you are using these discount opportunities. Park Pass is one of the best senior discounts out there.

Everything...good job friends 😊
GR8 video. I use it on Boston Market and hotels. I will now use it for Amazon Prime! Thx much❣️
Thank you 😊 I knew some but not all of them 😊
Good to know!
Was told by Sams that I had to be 65 to get senior discount. Big surprise.
Discount on designer glasses. Why? Regular ones are so much cheaper

But why don’t cell phone companies offer a senior discount to single people. Many of us are alone now days so two lines does not work for us.

Call and write to your CONGRESSMAN. Tell them exactly this!
Start calling them every week!
Get others in your district to do the same!

@ It is!🙂
Are you sure t-mobile is $60/mo??? They're charging me $70/mo for senior citizen discount
I pay $17.80 for T mobile. What kind of phone or service are you buying?
My senior amazon payment each month is $7.00
Wow. I have been waiting to get a costly purchase to save money on Amazon Prime. Now Ik that I don’t have to ☺️
How? I just read what qualifies and it is not regular SS retirement. Everything is for poor or disabled
Most of these discounts are totally useless to me. Either these stores or restaurants are not in my area or these are not services I need.
It may help u to help a friend :)
Amazon Prime doesn’t get you Amazon streaming free.
With Tax it is $7.61 and I get streaming with it.
I’ll have to talk to them about it. Can you recommend any shows?

Marriott charges for overnight parking. And Verizon has better coverage. Had T-mobile before for work but lose connections but Verizon didn't.
