    I have collected seeds from other vegetables but not cabbage. It is interesting to collect your own seed and you have a good chance that you will get good healthy plants. Thank You for taking the time to wait so long so that you could share your results. Radish and lettuce are much easier and you can get seeds in one season. good luck with your garden.

    I love your video , my 1st time. You are so thorough , the bark of my organic cabbage I saved in refrig and started to sprout. I planted it , alot of leaves spouted then these beautiful tiny white flowers... I had no idea they were so long and that they take so long to mature and that one pod has so many beautiful tiny seeds. God bless you and your precious family 🙏😇

    Haven't had the pleasure of seeing a cabbage go to seed, beautiful as it flowered!! Saving those green seed pouches,, Do those seeds come to full maturity??

    • @rootstosprouts6278

      Yes they will!

    • @DeperiviAnimae
      @DeperiviAnimae 2 года назад +1

      You have to wait until the seed pods go brown before you pull them off the plant, if you harvest the pods green then they will likely not be mature enough.

    How the seeds are formed even without the formation of cabbage bulb

  • @thimovijfschaft3271

    I had very delicious oxheart cabbages last year. And 2 of them didn't form a head before the winter. And now one of them is clearly elongating and growing a clear stem. Which means that it's about to flower. Which is great because I want seeds. But how long will the plant remain in the ground until I can harvest seeds? Because I want to plant califlours where the cabbages currently are (I have a small garden) and I can move them to the garden next month.

    • @rootstosprouts6278
      @rootstosprouts6278  2 года назад

      You have wait for matured seeds and you can see the color change in the seed pods from green to brown.

    I live in Michigan where we have very cold winters. I would like to over winter cabbage to get my own seed. What would you recommend that I do to keep my plant going?

    • @rootstosprouts6278
      @rootstosprouts6278  2 года назад +2

      Grow in container and move it indoor during Cold winter. That is the best option.

      We were given a cabbage with 4 inches of the root stalk in tact. Can I get it in a basin of water until it roots? I would love to regrow it. Should we cut off the mature cabbage and wait for it to grow the smaller cabbage and wait for that one to flower?

    • @rootstosprouts6278

      I think due to weather it started blooming. It is a cold vegetable and not suitable for hot weather. not sure where you are and could be the key reason.
