      B.T. or (Bacillus Thuringiensis) is a naturally occurring bacteria and one of the most common pest control to kill leaf eating caterpillars like cabbage worms, bagworms, leafrollers, tent caterpillars, gypsy moth larvae,.... It can be applied as a liquid or powder and you can find several varieties certified as organic. You may also use garden netting to control caterpillars if you don't wish to use any pesticides. So glad found my videos helpful! For the seedlings, you just need to water so that the soil is moist, if it doesn't run off, that's ok too. or better if bottom water them- or you soak them in a tray of water. I will try to post a video on how to water seedlings soon. But for the grow bags, yes, water them deep so it come off from the bottom of the bag. Glad you love my videos.
      Depending on the condition you are sowing seeds, you need to adjust light, heat, and mainly watering. I have tried (and failed) many times to find the best way that works for me. If your seedlings die after germination, probably it is due to “damping-off,” a fungal disease. Try to sprinkle some baking soda around the seedlings (not too much) and do not over water them. I hope this helps.

I am on Day 45 and the plant is kind of small and the leaves aren't really big as yours. I applied Miracle-Gro fertilizer every 2 weeks, and it's still growing a little bit slowly. Should I change my fertilizer? I don't really know what's going on.

      Glad you love my videos. The harvest days usually refers to days after transplanting- you need to add few weeks if you start seeds in trays. Also it is for the best growing conditions and vary from garden to garden. So if they are growing well, you just need to wait a bit longer and let plants to mature. Yes these are 5 gallon bags. As shown in the video, you can grow them in 3 gallon plastic pots. However, 3 gallon fabric pots are not equivalent to 3 gallon plastic pots due to air pruning of roots (which restrict root development in grow bags). • @TowardGarden
      @TowardGarden  2 года назад +1

      Either netting or I use neem oil mix to prevent. If you see the caterpillars, use B.T. natural bacteria solution. In any cases the best is to monitor and control them at early stages. Sometime I get fooled by how great the leaves look, but when I check underneath, I see the eggs. So make sure to check both sides of the leaves. I might be wrong, but I have many birds in my backyard and I think they enjoy the caterpillar diet too🤷‍♂️. I hope this helps. Thanks again for visiting and happy gardening.😊

      Not a big difference between bags but I noticed the ones in plastic pot did a bit better. And B.T. or (Bacillus Thuringiensis) is a naturally occurring bacteria and one of the most common pest control to kill leaf eating caterpillars like cabbage worms, bagworms, leafrollers, tent caterpillars, gypsy moth larvae,.... It can be applied as a liquid or powder and you can find several varieties certified as organic. You may also use garden netting to control caterpillars if you don't wish to use any pesticides. No such a thing as silly question specially when it comes to gardening😊. Actually I was asked this question many times so I posted a video on how to reuse your old potting soil check here ruclips.net/video/nlmarlrwfPI/видео.html . You sure can use the old soil but it needs to be rejuvenated. By the time you harvest the cabbages, the soil has lost its nutrients to grow healthy plants and it should be amended with fresh compost. As I showed in that video, you will need to add composted manure to make it rich. I hope this answers your great question. Happy gardening and thank you for getting in touch.

      I 'd say the best is to keep them watered and provide some shade for them. Cabbages do well in shades so avoiding hot sun would help. I hope the cabbages will do fine. Thanks for visiting!

    anyone wondering where you get "pixie cabbage" another variety thats the same is Copenhagen Market Early Cabbage. it also matures in 2 months, but you can cut any cabbage at any size you like, which the name makes me laugh bc any cabbage can be pixie cabbage😂 i cut mine when their about the size of a grapefruit, and planted them 2 weeks apart. i scowered for mini love watermelon for months, until i found the same size was sugar baby watermelon, just a dif. color🤔
