Thanks again for putting this pepper gem together.
Thank you very much for your feedback. I already mentioned in different comments across my channel that I am in zone 9b. Great video. Home grown red peppers are the best. I grew a lot of peppers in grow bags last year but I found replacing perlite with vermiculite still provides aeration but holds moisture better in the grow bags which tend to dry out if your not on top of watering when its hot out.
@@TowardGarden Great looking Peppers! Do you use any worm castings or tea for fertilizing ? Worms aerate the soil and create the best fertilizer on the planet! I raise millions of worms for fertilizer for my garden, and to teach others how to care for them :)
Couple of questions: 1. Do you not add slow release fert like blood/bone meal or garden tone to your soil mix? 2 . Do you use any type of fert during the growing stages? Thank you
@Maurice Fiorentino I definitely use a slow release in my grow bags. I mix in Kelp Meal and an organic fertilizer. During the growing season I use fish emulsion every 2 weeks or so when the peppers are producing fruits.
I enjoyed your vid, it was relaxing as it was clear to the point, no unnecessary chatter. I subscribed just after seeing your channel for the first time. Great job! Thanks so much.
So glad that you love my videos. Actually I have started some lavender but since it is a perennial, the video won't be ready soon. The key to germinate lavender seeds is the light. Cover seeds very very lightly and provide a strong light source. Seeds are very slow to germinate and might take up to 4 weeks, so be patient. Also, try not to overwater them, you just need to keep seed soil moist, but not soggy. I hope this helps and thank you very much for your comment!
@@Legend-sl9bn The key in germinating pepper seeds is temperature. You have to keep the soil warm at 70F to 80F. Also make sure your seeds are not old. Old seeds have harder shells and water cannot penetrate to germinate. I hope this helps and thanks for visiting!
Thank you for sharing this video! I garden too and I’m trying to research all the things I can grow in containers. This is very helpful. Thanks for teaching me something new. I hope we can learn more from each other as we grow our gardens and our RUclips channels!
I'm going to stop right here at 2:26 to say this video is so relaxing and that background music is like super soothing I'm amazed so far.....eye candy peppers
Wait what! I never been first before. Its the little things sometimes. No matter how shallow😊😅 Wow! Beautiful peppers. Look like you pruned some branchs and tied up plants. Wish could see pruning part. Havent successfully grown peppers yet .
Glad to see you first😊. I tied up side shoots as they grew to support the fruits. The pruning part was just removing the lower leaves for a better visibility of the fruits. Although this might help them turning to red faster by exposing to sunlight, this is totally optional and I do not see it necessary. Thank you so much again for your comment!
Go for it. I am sure you can do it. If you haven't tried it yet, start with easy ones, like radish, mix lettuce or Mesclun, peas,.... You will learn and enjoy gardening as you grow more plants. Happy planting and thank you so much for your comment.
Now I know what to do with my little pepper plants 😂. Wow!! Didn't know waiting to pick ... would allow color change. I'm new at this gardening stuff 😊 Thanks so much.💗💗💗

Great video. Home grown red peppers are the best. I grew a lot of peppers in grow bags last year but I found replacing perlite with vermiculite still provides aeration but holds moisture better in the grow bags which tend to dry out if your not on top of watering when its hot out.
Vermiculite is a great option for aeration too. Thank you very much for your comment!
@@TowardGarden Great looking Peppers! Do you use any worm castings or tea for fertilizing ? Worms aerate the soil and create the best fertilizer on the planet! I raise millions of worms for fertilizer for my garden, and to teach others how to care for them :)
@@CaptainMattsWorms sounds great. I have practiced worm composting and yes they are very beneficial for gardening. Thanks you for visiting!
Couple of questions:
Best video on how To grow seeds I have watched well done!👏🏾👏🏾

I love how thorough you are when explaining. Can you please do a video on lavender from seeds? I have found them to be very difficult to germinate.
@@TowardGarden Thanks. I will try again soon.
@@TowardGarden what about echinacea purple, I've tried starting these seeds the last 2 years without any germinating
@@Legend-sl9bn The key in germinating pepper seeds is temperature. You have to keep the soil warm at 70F to 80F. Also make sure your seeds are not old. Old seeds have harder shells and water cannot penetrate to germinate. I hope this helps and thanks for visiting!
i ve put my seeds into the freezer for a few weeks and then to take out and plant, ive had good luck doing that
Those are so beautifulllllll❣thank you for sharing this!!!! God Bless.

Great peppers
Where do you get your grow bags?
