I loved "The Talented Mr. Ripley" with Matt Damon and Jude Law. I've probably watched it ten times. "Ripley", the Netflix series blew my mind and I can't wait to watch it again. The cinematography is glorious, the black and white format makes everything even better and the slow pace is more like reading the book and getting a better idea of what's inside Ripley's mind. The way each crime was shown, the work it involved, the eternal steps, got you behind Ripley's eyes looking out. And the cat....I nominate for best supporting actor!

I rooted for Tom. Tom was surrounded by fakes, wealthy fakes, writer, painter, playwright.. They had little talent but had the world at their feet. Tom was Talented, he did exactly what Dickie did, he took a chance at adventure. He made bad decisions to hold on to a world that the wealthy simply took for granted.

Well I mean you have some points there but he ultimately was a villain. You can’t just kill people and take what they have.

@ShowtimeandJoysticks of course, and it is fiction. Much more interesting than the fictional killing we are all exposed to via film, TV, books, games, etc... daily.

Dont know if anyone else may of noticed, but Andrew Scott's brooding intensity reminds me of Joaquin Phoenix. Loved Ripley, it's up there for me.

It’s quite the experience. Like being inside a work of art.
