That’s true but the most popular version of Venom is the villain version. My point is that Sony is leaning into the antihero version of these characters rather than the more complicated villains that most comic fans want to see. Venom didn't start an antihero

I really enjoyed Hawkeye and Moon Night as well but Moon Night did have some terrible CGI....Ms.Marvel was quite easy to watch but felt kiddy.

Same here as a Spider-Man fanatic since I was a kid knowing Spider-Man and his rogues gallery it's starting to piss me off Sony doesn't give a shit for what we want to see, Sony pictures did ruined all the Spider-Man villains turning them into a anti-hero joke which makes no sense to me either hopefully this ends now.

The lore is all wrong though. Peter gets the symbiote first. It makes him go through dark phase and then he gets rid of it and it goes to angry Eddie. This version of the symbiote would prolly lead to more table dancing scenes.

For this movie to be sad you'd have to be invested in this mockery of the character...which I'm not...I left with dry eyes and lost time.

It’s not satire. The venom that most fans prefer is the one who is the menacing and terrifying villain to spider-man. The symbiote is supposed to amplify the negative emotions of the host. This version of the symbiote wouldn’t even make Peter have his dark phase.

@@ShowtimeandJoysticks That’s true. I see where you’re coming from. Maybe if they introduce Anti-venom which eddie brock ends up bonding with later on in his journey that would be better. Because if i remember correctly, venom and anti-venom are two separate entities. And then maybe later on they can make venom go from how he usually is into a live-action Agent Venom.

​@@ShowtimeandJoysticks They turned everyone into Tony Stark. Thors probably the best example of complete character annihilation. Every character is a punchline or a joke. Everyones written with the same voice . Now its so far over the top anything after endgame is basically fan fiction. Ultron. Modok. the Mandarin. Werent great characters compared to their counterparts. Thanos was changed.

One could argue the plot got a bit too complex for its own good towards the end but I did love the show overall.

This is a max original movie so I don’t think I’d hold my breathe on this being on Netflix. Hopefully they make it available to rent on prime. Otherwise Max might have a free trial.

It can be watched on Prime with a Max subscription, but you already know why. These networks and platforms often share content. For example, Hush (2016) was a Netflix original but is no longer available there; now it’s on AMC+ and Prime. After a certain period, shows or movies end up on competing platforms to keep interest alive for fans who might not have seen them otherwise.

Well at least it's in English. Dark was a very convoluted multiple family tree branches with parallel universe crossovers with the unreliable narrator technique thrown in for good measure. And you had to read subtitles. But once you get into the story it's brilliant. This movie was also confusing until you realize that Paris and Ellie was shown in two different timelines.

It's a theme I think carried over from the first movie. That's what was getting him so much attention...seems silly to think that didn't carry over.

I personally think the wealth gap is what is prompting so much support and fans. They look at Arthur as someone standing up to the wealthy and elite. That carries over into this film.
