- Today I'm talking about a new movie on Max called Caddo Lake. This movie was a very fun watch that kept my brain guessing the entire run time. It's mixed with mystery and scifi in a way that so few movies manage to pull off.

Plot

Dark was literally mind blowing. This sounds interesting, but it doesn't sound horror enough for me, I will check it out after Oct. Thanks for the review!

I went into this movie not knowing a thing, a family drama? A romantic comedy? Horror movie? I knew squat. Wow, I was taken on a hell of a ride! What a fun adventure. Super Complex, deep thought provoking.
That’s always a fun way to watch a movie.
You’re one of the few reviewers to mention the Dark series on Netflix. Caddo Lake feels like a more condensed version of the same concept, though without some of the elements that three full seasons can provide. Unfortunately, I’ll have to wait for a physical release or until it becomes available on Prime or Netflix.
This is a max original movie so I don’t think I’d hold my breathe on this being on Netflix. Hopefully they make it available to rent on prime. Otherwise Max might have a free trial.
@@ShowtimeandJoysticksI used to have Max, but I had to drop some subscriptions because my wallet was feeling the strain, haha. It can be watched on Prime with a Max subscription, but you already know why. These networks and platforms often share content. For example, Hush (2016) was a Netflix original but is no longer available there; now it’s on AMC+ and Prime. After a certain period, shows or movies end up on competing platforms to keep interest alive for fans who might not have seen them otherwise.
Rejoice? This is just a blatant and cheap ripoff. The actors were great but this is just a bad version of dark.
To each is own. I was enthralled and highly enjoyed it.

Well at least it's in English. Dark was a very convoluted multiple family tree branches with parallel universe crossovers with the unreliable narrator technique thrown in for good measure. And you had to read subtitles. But once you get into the story it's brilliant. This movie was also confusing until you realize that Paris and Ellie was shown in two different timelines.
