This is why I love these cars. Aesthetically, an afternoons work de-badging & tinting goes a long way, OE 17s are very well suited to it.
And a diy blower can be done for peanuts and give the chassis the power it should have had out the box. And they sound deadly.

Built by Lexus/Toyota. So it won’t fall apart.
The designers took their leads from a E36 3-series which we can consider the gold standard at the time in this segment.
It has a 2.0l Straight six, so in this shitty country of mine where you are taxed (A LOT) on engine volume it will be do-able but I still get 6-cylinder rage when pushing her 👀
AND you can just toss on a supercharger to make 70 more ponies and the ECU will adapt to it and it’ll be fine. Its RWD and looks quite sharp and agressive even to this day when done right.
Its decided, I’m gonna buy one of these.
Still looking forward to see what it can do with the 1zz's and 150mm pulley. Don't need a fuel cut defender and a fuel return line at this stage? Keep it up, can't wait to do this to mine! Damn, with some lightweight rims I think the 0-100 time could fall under 6 sec...

Why is it better for daily drive?
@@blackwersus because in daily driving you mostly use low revs, up to 3500, this is where supercharger provides much better performance
On the downside it gets less MPG than a Turbo

Not really. The whine sound is now MUCH MORE audible and it's kinda annoying. Whining now comes from supercharger and not from intake and the supercharger is very loud.
@@HoonZa But do you have the Bemani box? that reduces the sound.
@@jose_s_bam7938 Yes I have, it didnt reduce noise that much. Supercharger is still the loudest part of the car.

beautiful is200... did u do the 150mm conversion already? if yes... how is it compared to the 140mm? going to change my 140mm (0.33 bar) to the 145mm soon... exhaust mods and 1zz already done...
Thanks. Yes I made the conversion earlier this year and the difference is very noticeable. With 140mm pulley and standard manifold was around 0,37 bar of boost and now with 150mm pulley and decatted OEM manifold, it's 0,5 bar. The car feels much faster (acceleration from 0-100kph is around 6s,) but the supercharger is now louder which kinda annoys me. It sounds great in high revs but its annoying in low revs because everything I hear is supercharger, the exhaust itself is not that loud...

@@devrox No fuel mods at all. The fuel mixture is a bit more rich but it's working alright (I'm using the car daily)

Díky, svody jsou vykatované originály, downpipe je japspeed se sportovním katalyzátorem a dál dozadu už jsou oba díly catbacku od Cobry. Až bude hezky, tak natočím nové video, teď mám 150mm řemenici a 1ZZ vstřiky a má to zase trochu jiný projev.

What sort of bhp increase we talking from the 155 standard
With 140mm pulley and exhaust mods, it should have approx. 210bhp but I dont have any dyno sheet. I'm going to install 150mm pulley with 1ZZ injectors and that should give additional 30hp.

benny's custom works just finished a build resembling this. I think it got 135hp with one of the planets best tuners. there's no way this has 210

@@martymcfly6637 135hp with supercharger? Even fully stock car has 155hp. I didnt watch the video but he must have done something wrong or maybe his engine is dead.
@@HoonZa 153bhp with 20% (could be more) drivetrain scavenge 124hp plus 160,000 miles prob 90hp. bhp is crank, hp is wheel. either way, you should watch that build, guarantee bennys way more knowledgeable than either of us regarding anything auto and the other guy from the linked vid is the face of youtube for haltech and also a technician at the company. Wcked smaht.
210 is easily achievable with a supercharger set up, hell, some people have made 280bhp with a lot of fine tuning, methanol injection too, mine is running around 240bhp at the moment with it's 165mm pulley
@@martymcfly6637 I have stock is200, max speed should be 215 km/h. My car can do 215 by GPS easy with 150k km on odometer. So I dont think that my car has 90 hp on wheels 😅 And I often drive 102 kW and 103 kW FWD cars with less weight, and there are slower for sure.

Hello, i have similar setup from rankone performance. I can't mount front bumper because intercooler joints are in the way. They touches bumper. How did you fit it without cutting front bumper??
Hello, I had the same problem. We managed to fit it somehow but it's slightly deformed and it's tricky to fit the front lip.
Do you get pulley slip at any point through the rev range? I currently get pulley slip from around 4,500 revs and I'm struggling to find the source, what manifold are you using as I have had to adapt my cradle as the cradle was not designed for a Japspeed manifold
Yes, I had belt slip on alternator (or power steering?) belt but "Belt system upgrade kit" from Rank One Performance fixed it.

With 140mm pulley - 0-100: 7s, 0-160: 17s
With 150mm pulley and 1zz injectors: 0-100: 6s, 0-160: 14s
Torque should be around 280Nm
How much power you making on it? Since stock they got like 155
I think it's around 240hp

No but this usually happens when your bypass cable is too tight

You dont need bigger injectors with 140mm pulley. Now I have 150mm pulley and 1ZZ injectors

@@mark6491 Stock manifold is not good for supercharging because your pre-cats will fail sooner or later (my melted with 140mm pulley). I recommend removing pre-cats on your manifold if you want supercharge. Or you can buy aftermarket decat manifold (japspeed for example), but they're bad quality.
