Very informative for the first time and seasoned ole cruisers. One thing to add, I believe they have on the day before debarkation, a presentation in the theatre on debarkation. Plus, the folks there get first shot at the luggage tags. thanks,
Excellent video! I am cruising for the first time without a passport. My only concern after watching your video is going through customs with just my birth certificate. My husband has a passport. I am concerned about how long he will have to wait for me after he gets off the ship particularly if that line is super long. Any feedback you can provide me would be greatly appreciated. I have no real interest in having a passport. 😊
@@kimyancey7126 Hi Kim, thanks for watching. The birth cert line can get much longer, but I have also seen cruises like journeys cruises in which the passport line was longer. Unfortunately the difference is not standard, but I feel safe in saying no chance of him having to wait more than 20 minutes for you. Also, he is always welcome in the birth cert line with his passport, so he can stay with you, you just cannot join him in the passport line unfortunately.
With FTTF and express, i have been of the ship by 730. The problem is you can never depend on that. On our last cruise, someone died, and debarkation did not start until 1030am.
If I do not have to get off the ship quickly I always prefer checked baggage debarkation, but we have used express many times when we have an appointment to catch.
@@emilyabroad No, during debarkation you will not see the porters unless you use one to take your luggage to your car and then yes, you should tip those porters.

Very good addition, yes there was a presentation given by Lee at Center Stage the last sea day of the cruise.
Great and concise information!!
Thank you

Great information, very helpful. How early have you been able to debark using express debarkation?

Great video! Do you recommend express debarkation or the checked luggage/assisted debarkation?
If I do not have to get off the ship quickly I always prefer checked baggage debarkation, but we have used express many times when we have an appointment to catch.
@@allgoodontheroad Great advice, thanks! Should we tip the porters who bring the luggage out, and if so, how much?

Hi, Can you bring all your luggage with you to the main dining room for breakfast
Can you self debark even if you have a large bag if you are able to.
Yes, as long as you can carry it yourself.
What deck do we debark on?
That would depend on the cruise ship. Most of the time, it is deck six for excel class and deck three for the smaller ships.
