Small correction: Originally enemies did drop biome keys, but since you could just use them right away you could get a biome weapon in early hardmode, so they changed them to key molds to prevent players from getting Biome weapins before Plantera. Later, they changed it so keys dropped again instead of molds, but you couldn't use them before killkng Plantera

The reason molds existed was because you use to only fight 1 mech boss before you could do plantara and move to golem. Relogic to counteract this made 1 of each soul needed to craft it.
I hate consolaria because it adds new effects to weapons so it isn’t accurate and then RUclipsrs will see it and put it in the video like if it’s how the weapon used to work

The key molds was so confusing when I got em since I never used the wiki and manage to reach plantera since grade 1 to grade 5 (I know I’ve been playing terraria when I was young)
all other pre 1.3 players recount the moulds being awful to get, and hating them for it; but in my opinion, the moulds were better than they are now, because it was fun. I might just be super lucky but sometimes before any mechanical bosses I’ll just manage to get one accidentally, it feels too easy
You would not believed me if i said I lost My 50+ hours of playing on hardcore master mode just because i forgot to click settings when i was away and the thing that killed me was a slime😢

If you're an OG, been playing since it came out, since childhood, then you should have a way to show and express that. Removing the old end game armors is just appalling to me. Should've just kept them as vanity items
The key molds were sooo dumb dude, the drop rates for keys were slim asf and weapons weren't as good as you thought they'd be. By the time you got a mold you wouldve been stronger then the weapon you receive from the biome dungeon chest
2nd and 3rd wepons are wepons from anime called " soul eater " the scythe looks like souls (a character from soul eater anime ) wepon form and and the soul scythe is his death scythe form .
Seeing the ice mourne makes me want a pre hard mode upgrade to the ice blade. Nothing crazy but it had always been a top 3 for me I always go for it off the bat

The keymold sprites are still there and can be seen ingame with the transmutation glitch. Attempting to get them will just give you the key though
