Hello, I'm a student of biology, I study in the UNAM, in Mexico. Me and some colleagues wanna create a video talking about Euglena and the taxonomic debate around it, if it's an algae or its a protozoa. The description says Phase Contrast at x1250 but no microscope type indicated.

Nope. They're for moving around. You see, the Euglena probably don't even know they exist, they just sorta are like a baby in the womb moving around based on reflexes.
