I'm sorry but the idea of William miraculously escaping the FNAF 3 fire and probably being like, "I lived!" and then getting called to a different location where he is then almost immediately burned again is so underrated in how funny it is to me. Man is either experiencing karma of the century or his luck was just not in his favor. But considering that he then has to listen to Mr. Hippo's several minute long rambles after that, I'd say the karma option is more likely
Dude literally put all his points on Endurance and none on Luck. He's as hard to put down as a Halloween movie serial killer. Even they didn't come back as some freaking computer virus.
the funny thing is, William has voice lines in fnaf pizzeria simulator and most of them are being like "I knew it was a trap, obviously, but how could I resist something as intriguing as this..." LIKE DUDE WHAT ARE YOU DOING????? how are you gonna willingly show up in a place you know only exists to take you down 💀
I would heavily recommend you still watch part 4 While new stuff has changed small details about this theory, nothing has outright disproved the core theme of it. Some will say huge parts of the final episode have been disproven, but I as well as many others would disagree. The newest lore is still in the heavy speculation phase so many people have many different interpretations of what’s going on, I still believe MatPats video is a really valid take on modern lore. The small stuff can be filled in by us in the comments should you choose to watch it. That’s about the most I can say without spoilers, so see you if you choose to watch it✌️
Part 4 is absolutely worth it, especially if you've come this far. It's a story/series of theories worth finishing. And I'm sure we'd love to see/hear what you think and feel at the end.
Part 4 is a definite recommend, the main reason its contreversial is because of what a few things now mean storywise but matpat made many good points as to why his theory is most likely correct
Henry is my favorite character in fnaf, burns all the souls, loses his daughter. Leaves William to die, then shows up so long after to burn them all together while giving one of the best in-game dialogs at the end of fnaf 6 I've ever heard. Plus his daughter Charlie/the puppet helping save the souls while Michael delt with William in fnaf 3 is really cool also.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGamesI am so exidite to see your reaction on Fnaf timeline part 4. And if you have some interested in Minecraft lore its fragmented and hidden little like fnaf but MatPat and others done his good work. ruclips.net/p/PLKGMzcgzO7kjvIvyhswPMvyqZeRd9_wk0
It's so cool that you guys are giving this series a chance and really taking it in. So many people write these games off, but I feel MatPat did a great job here condensing and summarizing all the confusing breadcrumbs these games offer.
You guys should till watch part 4 because I think the people who said that don’t like the ideas in it but mat still says that what he said in it is still what he believes
These timeline videos made me realize just how interesting Fnaf's world is and how it functions. With how it's treated, remnant is almost like the horror equivilant of a power/magic system. This is a world where ghosts exist, but only when a human soul is left in an unresting state, meaning that person most likely has to be killed by someone. Ghosts in this world can possess and bind to objects they were either forced to be fused with (like the kids whose bodies were stuffed in the animatronics), or objects that just so happened to be near them (like the puppet). When a soul possess an object, in this case, metal, some of it's supernatural essence clings to it and the metal becomes a substance called "remnant". When melted down and injected into a non-living object, remnant creates an unstable, violent life form (like a living statue, or a killer robot). When injected in a living being, that being becomes functionally immortal. Based on what Matpat said, Michael was infused with remnant when he got scooped, but since he technically died during the process (because he literally had his freaking insides ripped out of him), that logically means that the remnant kept his soul bound to his dead body despite being...you know, *dead.* That's why his flesh starts rotting and decomposing over time, because he's basically a living zombie, or a ghostly soul possessing it's own dead body (which imo is a *very* interesting circumstance for the main protagonist of a horror series to be in). So basically, human souls in the world of Fnaf are not only real and provable, but also powerful with special properties that can be used for what I can only describe as "supernatural science". Unfortunately, the guy who discovered all this just so happened to be a genius, psychotic, child serial killer, hence the horror aspect of the series. The people who look at post SL Fnaf as "weird" and "stupid" don't seem to understand this. Either that, or they do, and they just don't understand how originality and creativity work, because this stuff is *really* cool and interesting imo.
Yes it’s very interesting indeed, also how the books use the agony energy as plot point as well to show that not all aggressive animatronics possess a soul but rather are infused with agony from a traumatic event like some kind of cursed being
A big reason the fnaf story is so hard to make theories for is that still to this day we don't have confirmed dates for when some of the games take place. Sister Location (which is the game were Mick gets "scooped") doesn't have a paycheck at the end since Mike dies so we don't know exactly when that game takes place. And fnaf 4 is complicated because it's implied to take place in 1983, but as Mat said in this video you can sometimes hear distorted recordings of the phone guy from the first game (which takes place in either 1993 or somewhere in the early 2000's). I think you should still watch part 4 though, even if that theory isn't liked by the community (and it might be a bit outdated since some of the most recent books seem to disprove some of the theory) it's still a pretty interesting video that has a fun story
I'm partial to the theory that Henry was out of the story because Afton made it so he'd take the fall for the murders, but came back because he was exonerated by DNA evidence.
You should still watch part 4. Most of it is still relevant and it also has some important details for the newer games, because Security Breach was not included in the videos you watched yet.
Hey so remember when you reacted to the space game "Starfield"? Well recently they had a MASSIVE gameplay showcase called "Starfield Direct" where it was 40+ minutes of nothing but the game. Its a bit long but I really recommend you watch it! Its all really cool. Love your vids!
Josh Hutcherson is perfect casting for Mike in the movie, interesting that in the movie universe he's not a walking corpse which is fair because its a bit too much for a first movie.
The movie is an alternate universe so it’s telling it’s own story while paralleling to some aspects of the lore like William Purple Guy Murderer and Michael returning as a security guard (just not as a rotten corpse 🧟♂️)
Well you gotta finish the timeline, would be interesting to hear your thoughts on it and any alternate theories you may have had or came up with during viewing.
Surprisingly with the announcement of FNAF Help Wanted 2, uh....you can fill in the blanks with that as far as theory crafting. Oh and the Security Breach DLC

This here is where thr franchise ends, this ending with henry burning everyone in the place is perfect and thats where it should end and I do like the idea of him being tortured by Cassidy tho. But everything after that is just in my opinion its own universe
Part 4 Is when Matt starts to talk about Security Breach, and if I remember right, Ken you said wanted to play that one, no..? so for you to see P4 is up to you two.
To be fair even if they do play Security Breach, watching this theory won’t change anything since the lore in SB was confusing to try to figure out anyway so it wouldn’t be a problem yk
dont skip it, just bc people dont agree w a theory doesn't mean its not valid. Its just a theory, for all we know none of this is set in stone, just matt and his team's view on it. skipping over it disregards all the hard work they did and leaves this story incomplete
