Travis, Thanks for the video. Always great to see a new look at the evolving camera tech. That EmpireTech night view was amazing!
Even with the Annke/Hikvision using the same size sensor as the Empiretech they still pull it off with some magic some how. Love this camera and snagging another to put in my other "gold" location.
Hahahaha, I damn near choked on my drink when you transitioned to that Tundra taking out the street sign. I love my Amcrests but that night shot you showed of the front yard is downright amazing. I may have to grab one of those EmpireTech cameras for the one blindspot I have on the side of my house. That picture quality is downright amazing. Hope you're well man, thanks for the great vid.
It is crazy how much the cameras are continuing to evolve. I used to think the one I had up before was amazing in performance. They just keep topping themselves.
Thanks Travis.
Yes! I like this👍🏽
Thanks a lot for Travis's wonderful compare,we try out best to offer the best camera with the latest new technology. Sure we also have some other cheaper cams, also work great, but for the full color camera the turret IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-X are the wonderful ones on the market.
The man himself! Nice! Absolutely. You get what you pay for in cameras. Sometimes that cheaper model is perfectly fine for some areas. Multiple options to to fit the situation.
I’ve tested Andy’s camera and the nc800 and the DS-2CD2087G2-L which is the same camera as the nc800, i favoured the Empire tech for night time viewing, it had good clarity’s and if tuned correctly it was able to read number plates really well
I’ve been using “Empiretech” cameras that I bought directly through Andy before there was an EmpireTech. I’ve got about ten now with an 8TB NVR. I’ve got some Bullets, PTZ, Turret, and now an LPR. I think they are the best hands down. Andy is always there to answer questions/emails even if I haven’t reached out for a year. The quality is great, as is the cost. Plus he updates the firmware as needed. My go-to.
@@Samlol23_drrich thanks bro!
@empiretech-andy9543 see? This is what I mean! He personally responded to this post 15 minutes after I left it.......
You're not going to get that elsewhere
EmpireTech for the win. I have the 6mm bullet and the dual-lense. Love them. You can’t beat his customer service either
Definitely what I have heard many times over with their support.
Hi, thanks for the great comparison.
Have you seen this other technology for low light cameras, based on multispectral image (2 sensors), and how it compares to this ?
One model is IPC-T5449H-ASE-D2-V2.
They claim a 0.0002 lux minimal illumination vs 0.0005 lux for the Color4K-T.
A youtube test video shows impressive low light performance (mostly bw but adds color when it can get some) but I'm not sure whether it requires the IR leds to be on or not for this.
I would love see this compared to the Color4K-T.
I haven't seen that. I would be curious to see how it performs as well if I can get one.
Travis,
Watched a few of you videos. Thanks for the info. Got 2 11:03 Amcrest 2669 great camera. Wanted 11:03 one with a light for color night vision. Got a 2779. Had to return it was getting quite hot even when not recording and no light on. Did I just get a bad one or do the color night vision with a led usually get much hotter than others ?
White LED running all the time? I know the IR ones can get a little warm at times too
@@digiblurDIY no light on the 2779. The 2669 has infrared no problem. Must be a QC issue. Did you experience any exceptional hot cameras during your tests ?
Hi again :) Do you know whether this Color4K model benefits from an eventual external IR light or not (filter). Not for color vision obviously but for getting some B&W sensitivity on dark scenes.
This cam seems perfect when you have some permanent light in the field but I can't illuminate my garden with visible light all night... That's the reason why I keep it out of the shopping basket but I might reconsider if it makes use of IR.
Thanks again for the great videos.
I don't believe it does in B/W mode as I don't see the IR coming from other cameras around the house in B/W mode.
@@digiblurDIY Thanks ! Yes that makes sense, they probably put a fixed IR filter on the sensor.
I'll be looking for something else then. Maybe the IPC-HDW5842TM-ASE (high sensitivity with a BW IR mode), but can't find anywhere yet.
Great video! Would love to see a tutorial on controlling the LED’s with the API!
Will do. It is such a great feature of Dahua based cameras.
the best video, I have a question, I have lorex system from costco, does annke nc400 compatible with lorex? I have 16ch NVR, but only come with 8 cameras, if I buy annke nc400 does it compatible? thank you very much
Does it support ONVIF/RTSP cameras?
Love my Dahua cameras from Andy :)
Such a great resource. I have only had to ask him for firmware file here or there in the past but super responsive.
Curious about those side by side night shots, weren’t all the cameras having the advantage of all the LED’s from the other cameras lighting up the area? I like to use separate IR floods, that way the damned spiders build their webs in front of them instead of in front of the cameras. That Empire is impressive, and your stop sign video returning for the pronunciation is a riot.
yes, I'm not a fan of the LEDs on the cameras themselves that just didn't work well and have limited range due to the size so I didn't pursue it much. A standard motion or non-motion flood light combination with these cameras are the better way to go for full visibility.
The spiders/bugs was another issue here too with the visible LEDs. Attracted them like crazy right towards the lenses.
Bought quite a few from Andy. Stand up guy that stands behind his products.
Yup! His support is great!
Thanks a lot for guys support! This full color cam still need led light on if at low light place. If have some street light , the cam will work amazing full color even with the led light off.
Are you still happy with the empire tech trying to decide what to get now
Yup. I have three of them now.
Please review the Reolink RLC-1224A
I did the bullet version here. It wasn't great at night vision and had some codec issues as expected. ruclips.net/video/449ZqwdA5h8/видео.html
Thanks for the review, EmpireTech 4K Full Colour is a great camera but the price in Europe is ca 270euros compared to Hikvision DS-2CD2386G2-IU which is ca 210euros.
Check Dahua vendors in your area as well.
@@digiblurDIYthanks, whats the Dahua model number corresponding please?
The ghosting can be completely removed if you know how to fine tune these camera, you should never use the default setting imo as you are not using the camera to its full potential.
I test them on the manufacturer defaults to keep it on the level playing field and leave it up to them to come out with the recommended settings.
DIFFERENT CAMERA AND DIFFERENT NVR BRINGA MOTION DETECTION ERROR, YOU WILL NOT ENABLE MOTION, SOME CAMERAS SAYS IT IS COMPATIBLE FOT X BRAND NVR
Which NVR did you use for these test?
I was recording direct streams into BI without transcoding on most of them.
For $50 dollars the armcrest 5mp is hard to beat.
Indeed it is. Such a great camera at $50 compared to others even more than it.
Sure you right brother. Best value IMO.
Well the Amcrest 8K has some Drum n Bass going on there. I think you should introduce a panty dropper test methodology into the night vision tests.
That might be an awkward discussion with OG no? 😎
@@digiblurDIY oh bugger, of course. How about Candy dropper? 🤣
EmpireTech 4K 8MP in UK: £519.89 = 638USD ;)
Ouch. That's insane.
Tapo 325wb is better than all of those ! What is strange is it's actually better with no added light !
Any POE on that wifi camera?

Ethernet but no poe ! I have 3 of these working on Blue Iris using wifi !
Not very logical to not have POE. I am surprised at that ! It was not a big deal for me being I already had power close to the locations where I wanted these camera's.@@digiblurDIY
They will be coming out with the 525 WB which will have PTZ and POE ! They had it at CES,did you see it ?@@digiblurDIY
You got no game, bro.
Can't jump for sure.. 😎
