I really enjoyed your very honest video. I’ve had my Trophy from last May and I find it fantastic. It’s quick,comfortable and economical returning 60-70+ mpg!. Well done MG👍

I can fully believe this, I resettled the trip computer for mpg and was getting 60mpg+ easily also when driving careful it’s a brilliant little car, glad you liking it. Bought one in September. My biggest gripe is how the box gets stuck between 35-50mph... Very stubborn and doesn't want to get into gear even if I feather the throttle a bit. Annoying for town driving. Funny you say you like the suspension. I find the suspension to be quite wobbly. I also find the steering to be too light... I drive a 50mph country road work commute and definitely feel like you have to pay a lot of attention with the steering in order nose into the corners nicely... Don't get me wrong, nice car for the money! But the box and wobbly handling do my head in a bit.
It needs a little waking up, i suspect it’s also in the gearbox tuning. I wonder if it is something in an update they could easily do or something the manufacturer could think about doing. Maybe raise that with MG incase yours is a little worse than anything I’ve experienced. I think the suspension is fairly firm tbh so on rough stuff it can feel like that, I’m used to cars like this so maybe I’m a little more numb to it haha, overall I like the way it handles and feels. I had a MG HS rental in France last year, 260hp and it absolutely shifted but only when it decided to, found the hybrid power delivery unpredictable. This sounds the same?
It’s not unpredictable but it has what feels like lag as you put your foot down, my guess is it’s just safety and protection but it’s consistent in its feel so there’s no weird power delivery thankfully. Thanks for watching Scott 🙌👌
I've got the all new mg hs phev. Just over 300bhp. I find to have the same issue? Sometimes, when I find it, I get 100 % power bar. Sometimes will bounce beletween 87 to 95 and then Eventually, shooting to 100% gives a feeling of turbo lag before kicking in. But sometimes it never does kick in. It is a strange one.
Yeah this doesn’t feel like that just lag low down, it was consistent with its 0-60 so I’m pretty confident it’s different and not quite the same as the HS on that front

It's going to have something to do with the availability of the traction battery.
