I did not but it's not off the table. I think they did a great job AND my wife, when she first played it, wanted bowling. I play the waiting game generally (not pinball, but that paid off). This is a solid upgrade.
I sold my OG GT cab and I can play it on my ALU, but I'm still buying this one. Just like Michael B says, "it's not just the game it's about the experience of a replica arcade cab". I'm very excited and optimistic about the upgrades/bowling/shuffleboard games. I did buy it on Best Buy too.
Finally did, should arrive today, Frankly the screen kept this out of my house and a purchase and swift return before i got the first one... Game Genie got me to repurchase with his last video, watching your others just to see what to expect when putting together.
This is one I really want. I’m just completely out of room. Looking forward to the review. I’m sure after watching it I’ll buy one and figure out a way to fit it lol
I stumbled across your video and was blown away when I heard you say you used to go to Gala Lanes/Galaxy World in Carol Stream, I practically lived in that place during the 80's and 90's, broke my heart when I found out it closed down, had many a good time there.
I purchased Golden Tee 3D XL cab today as well. Directly from 1up. I’m excited about this cab. Now I gotta sell my Original Golden Tee after I do a side by side comparison of these 2 with pics and video.
Gala Lanes/Galaxy World...Ah the memories...My favorite place as a kid, and I still have some orange tickets and silver coins from there and those were 25 points...👍🙏

You made the right choice Pdubs. This cab has something for everybody especially when you get up there with 3 and 4 players. What you said about drinking beers and playing this cab with friends is exactly how I see it. You will get your money's worth out of it. It's time to invite the buddies over!
Tron has a headphone Jack and isn’t a speaker gate cab. Unfortunately you have to just wait for these recent cabs to come out to know what the sound situation is.
I worked at an arcade distributer and we were moving tons of them. Strangely, I never played them, not even once. And they were running in our warehouse. I was more into retro-gaming at that time.

And… I did, I did not know exactly what they were or what they were used for (that day). Sometimes I wake up at night to think about that. I wish I could go back in time to stop myself and tell my boss how valuable they were at that time and how crazy they would value today.
Looks solid. I will be getting it pending a sale of Burgertime. I bought the OG cab and was on the fence about keeping it. I eventually sold it because I thought it would be more fun with 1-3 people over, and with COVID in full swing I was stuck playing alone. It was so much fun and had so much replay, together with leaderboards, the extra bowling game, and ESPECIALLY shuffle shot, tipped the scales for me.
I too would like to wait and see quality and issues. I like how this cabinet looks and the way the speakers are mounted with 19" screen no riser. Beautiful! I do have fomo! Yes I think I would agree with you on passing up KI cab and i'm more of a Street fighter and Mortal Kombat fan.
Looking forward to your review Dubbs. As of now, I'll wait for it to possibly go on sale. I want to 1st wait and see what else 1up has up their sleeve for this summer.
Great video PDubs. I love the GOLF GOLF on your ALUs. I think I'm going to wait on this one. I have fatigue from buying 3 cabinets in the last 2 months (all on sale). This cabinet looks great. I was disappointed to see they went from 2 bowling games to just the one. I'm not crazy about GT Golf, but I would purchase this just for the bowling and shuffleboard. My family loves bowling on the Simpsons cabinet. If this every hits $599 I will probably buy it. If I see it for $499 look out.
How does nobody comment that it is missing the spin button? That is a big part of the gameplay and should have been easy to include on the board. Don't hate the cabinet, just greatly impacts the gameplay. Even the $12 AV version of GT I bought 9 years ago had the spin button.
Great video and memories! I’m out in Naperville and loved going to the Galaxy World for all the pinball they used to have. Are you still located in the Chicago burbs? Do you notice better game play on the 1UP cab than on the Legends Ultimate? I’ve been on the fence about getting a dedicated GT cab if the gameplay is the same. I measured the ALU and it seems to be about the same screen size.
No I'm in Arizona now. Personally although it's cool you can play these games on the AtGames products I felt the experience was better on the Arcade1up dedicated cab, and their trackball was better. However games like T2 are better on atgames

It's a very nice looking cab that is for sure. I'm interested to see and hear more about yours. It's very expensive for my budget , but for fans of the title, maybe not so. I'm glad you got one, it's gunna look nice with your others 😉, also we get to have a really good and honest look.
I would have to see the build quality on the XL cabinets before I could make a decision... at $700 there is a good chance I could pick up a commercial Golden Tee Arcade cabinet.. will look forward to your review!
Walmart not carrying some of the new cabs is very disturbing. I'm like you in that i wont buy direct and best buy only has a 14 day return window opposed to walmart's 90 day window,
Best Buy sadly went out of business near me. But yeah.. Love to see what you think of it. I wasn't too much into Golf arcade games. More into Action, Shooters, etc.
Hey PDubs, so....I've been thinking about your collection. Now that you've been doing this for some time, I'm starting to notice a trend away from the standard style gaming experience and noting that you're trending more in the direction of input diversity. Ridge Racer, T2, and Now Golden Tee. I think that highlights an aspect of arcade gaming that most of us don't really think about which is WHAT aspect of the gaming experience do we enjoy the most? Is it the lights, the sounds, the game, the form factor, or the input type. Honestly, I think input is the make or break aspect of retro gaming. I loved Track and Field, Capcom Bowling, Xybots, Golden Tee, and Marble Madness BECAUSE they were different. Very cool and I'm looking forward to seeing if the renderings of the cab are accurate and how happy you are with it! Congrats!
You hit the nail on the head my friend, I can played every joystick and button game on my mumticades, so arcade games and cabinets with unique controls is what I am most interested in right now

I traded my golden tee for an original tmnt Arcade1up that I missed out on. I didn’t order this only because I’m in Canada so it’s more expensive, and I also have all the golden tee that are on this machine on my ATgames legends ultimate coin ops and find the trackball on there and the larger screen works just as well not to warrant this
PDubs, Man, that price is way over my "PDubs Line." I may have to skip it :P :) Just funnin', of course :D I don't think anyone has to justify picking up an Arcade1up cab. I think if it's appealing to you, go get it! I know you've been a long time fan of Golden Tee and if you don't get a dud one (one with issues that shouldn't be there on a brand new cabinet), you're going to love it! I do want this cabinet, mainly because Arcade1up is bring some game variety to the trackball cabinet with bowling and shuffleshot. I'm a HUGE golf video game fan, my favorite Golf Game ever is Outlaw Golf 2, so I may get this cabinet at some point if it doesn't sell out, and most likely on a sale. I'd love to see it come down to $400, but $699 isn't the most outrageous price given the bigger monitor and form factor. I just hope the controls are premium as well, which we'll find out in your review. I just wish they'd put these bigger monitors on shooter cabs. Good on you for buying this from Best Buy. I don't like that Arcade1up still hasn't figured out a good customer support system, having to wait sometimes months for fixes and parts. If it's broke, ignore the "Don't return to the store" sticker and return it to the store :) vgv

Having owned the original GT and now Ridge Racer, which one is more fun? I can see GT being a crowd pleaser during sporting events and is easy to pick up. The driving cab could be similar. Definitely interested in this though.
Hmmmm I think GT is better for crowd pleasing. Everybody loves hanging out and playing golf vs waiting to take a turn on a racing wheel, just my opinion

Due to the higher pricing and it being a golf game I don't think it'll sell out quickly, heck the survey results show less than 10% of viewers were ready to buy today. That's very interesting
Selling the OG Golden Tee, if you have one, is the way to go to finance this purcahse. $400 for an upgrade seems sensible for all you are getting. You can't really go wrong with Golden Tee.

I'm going to try to snag a gen 1 on the secondary market. Shuffle shot and the bowling game dont intrest me. Without head to head online this new version doesnt intrest me.
I have zero Fomo for 1up unless it meets my criteria …. online a must …XL or bigger…. MK pro … HOTD xl Or pro…Star Wars xL or pro … basically anything new nothing rehashed unless online is added with Star Wars the exception to the online rule

Tempest, which I had to sell my atari 7800 and games to be able to buy (got it on sale). Golden tee is one of my faves. I just play it on the legends ultimate. Its the most played game on there for sure.

@@PDubsArcadeLoft out of curiosity, how are you selling the ones you don't want anymore? Like ebay, Craigslist? I have 1 cabinet. Tempest, which I had to sell my atari 7800 and games to be able to buy (got it on sale). I've heavily modified it, but im always buying and selling stuff, and I usually make money doing so, but these seem difficult (to make money), with shipping costs and all that.
