Bulgaria on the list after years releasing bops!! Just...
Bulgaria either have great songs or bad songs
@@escmaniak6273 I dare to say that after the break we had we do not have a bad song (since 2016) our bad songs are the ones that we entered the contest with back in the 2000s (except 2007) but for the last 10 years, even when we did not qualify, we had pretty good songs (2011 2012)
2:51, Bosnia and Herzegovina, “Lejla”, the best song ever. Epic…
Fun fact: Morocco was the first and only country in eurovision that's from Africa. It's also the only country that has been in the contest once
@@bobi2539 Because only 19 countries participated that year. Morocco was 2nd to last.
@Antoine Shelby I’m Bulgarian and I really like arabic language and songs!
@Antoine Shelby You almost make this a racism thing. If they didn't like it or aren't used to arabic music then that is fine. Could they have ended up higher? Yeah. But you make this way more racist than it is.
@@bobi2539 To be fair, most San Marino songs are far from actually both good and memorable. The only songs that I remember from them that I like are Crisalide and Adrenalina.
@@vuivraalbastra i like say na na na :O
That song from Montenegro is amazing..
Armenia too, Bosnia & Hercegovina likewise :D
I think that the worst place in Eurovision is the second one, cause for a while you do not win the prize...I wish all of them countries will win some day!!! ✌️❤️
The worst is the last, then cames the 2nd, but the second Place is only bad for the Moment mayb
But with the second place you can still be proud and everybody loves you. The last place can destroy your career.
politics won't let some countries win ever like for example North Macedonia etc.
@@jw1312bs Not true. Most people probably have no real idea what kind of politics North Macedonia has or why they should have a problem with it. I never voted for them and that is simply because I like other songs better. It has nothing to do with politics, I dont know really much about that country. Sometimes it is as easy as it seems: people simply have their own taste of music and if the majority of people (and jurys) have a different taste we all have to live with that and should stop to blame others/the circumstances/ the politics/ "nobody loves us" for it.
@@keinedaten1640 do you know why its always the same countries that get the points? politics. for example Cyprus and Greece always give each other 12 points etc. It's not that hard to notice that no matter if the song is good or bad, most points are given to the countries that have good relationships with each other
Fun (?) fact: Portugal was the country with longest losing streak, having participated 49 times before winning for the very first time in 2017 with Amar Pelois Dois. I sincerely hope other countries in the video (excluding the obvious inactive ones), don't need to wait almost 50 years before winning!
I personally am rooting for San Marino or Iceland for 2021!
That fact doesnt sound fun for Portugal tho :)
@@meisdone7697 Portugal never take the Eurovision seriously including 2017. When Portugal starting copy American pop stars like other European countries, they win every 2 years.
Yup it took almost 50 years for Portugal to win that Freakshow?! Blame on ENVY for often keeping away, natural order tho. 😉
Another fun fact for ya....the portuguese winner is the song with the most votes in eurovision history (750 to be exact), So it was worth the wait... quality over quantity....Portugal caralho!!!🇵🇹❤❤❤
Geez, we spend years trying to win and get out of these types of videos, but there's always someone in the comments reminding us that we didn't win for so long. THANKS ... lol
2018 eurovision was a banger. I adored it.
I see Australia, Bulgaria, Malta, Cyprus, Lithuania and Iceland as big chance havers for getting their first win this decade
Moldova 2017 - the real winner of the year. The same Cyprus 2018. Still listening this songs.
Lithuania's We are the Winners will forever stay iconic.

Croatia already won
i can’t wait to see Eleni come back & get the win
If she is clever, she will not do that. Now she is kind of iconic and will be remembered.
But we now know her hair and her dance moves already. It is a little bit like norway.....Keiino was second place in the national voting (the norwegians have a song contest for that) this year. Their song is good, but more or less the same "recipe" as "Spirit in the sky". It would not have won, because it was no surprise anymore.
If Eleni wants to win the ESC she has to come back with something completly new and better than Fuego. I think it would be wise if she keeps her "legend" and let other contestants from Cyprus having a try.
@@keinedaten1640 Not a rule though. Dima Bilan and Helena Paparizou got great scores, yet they chose to return a couple of years later with similar songs and grabbed the win for their countries. People will vote for returning artists with enthusiasm if they serve quality.

Malta, San Marino, Lithuania, Cyprus and Bulgaria might be their year to win!
Cyprus, Bulgaria and Australia hurt me that they've never won

I really hope so much that a new country will win this year, for an example Bulgaria, Malta, Romania, Cyprus, Lithuania, Iceland & San Marino have great songs this year so they deserve to win this year. And also many of them have send so many great songs in previous year but have never won.
Iceland 2009, Johanna was my childhood crush
I'm never gonna get over the fact that Doris lost for Croatia in '99. She deserved that win. I was 9 years old and I still remember how sad and angry I was and to this day I still listen to that song...and to this day I know many foreign people (eurovision fans) who talk about that song.
Although Albania and North Macedonia haven't won yet, I think that those girls' performances were better than everything. Love from Azerbaijan ❤

I’m not from europe so I know little about EuroVision, so I completely choked on my snack when I saw Australia on *Euro* vision.
In short, Australia are big fans of the contest. They were supposed to perform as a one-time thing in 2015, but were welcomed back and have been participating ever since. Out of five acts, four have been in the top ten.
@@snauw and this year it didn't even qualify, which is sad tho, I liked technicolour tbh, but it's maybe because they couldn't be on stage. Still Australia have good results, wish good luck to them

Georgia came 9th in 2011 as well. Also, 2020 would have replaced 2006 as Lithuania's best result, but... And maybe Bulgaria wouldn't be here.

I always love when an underdog country wins. Seeing Portugal, Bulgaria & Moldova in the top 3 made me so happy for them. As for the next country to win for the first time, I would say Malta, only because they're the last country that has yet to win the contest before the top 10 system was introduced in 1975. They're now the country with the longest wait for a win at 51 years (as of 2022).
Well TECHNICALLY they have a 51 year wait, but it’s in reality more like 30-something because Malta took hiatuses
That is true, and it can be said that Malta is the last country that debuted before the twelve points voting system in 1975.

this Montenegro song is still one of my favourite ESC songs ever. Sad it ranked so low. :( I also liked Czechia's song from 2018, one of the most original ones I still occasionally go back to. And Poland, as I've heard, got disqualified because Edyta Górniak included the English "no" when back then the songs had to be entirely in contestants' mother tongue. Also, that Bulgaria's song was really good as well!
Okay but Mikolas Josef is one of the greatest artists and in my opinion he is winner ❤️

Montenegro 2015 is still one of the best ESC entries ever imo btw. That year probably had the highest average quality of music since I started following ESC (2010), but in a different year it could have won.

I like to consider the 1989 Yugoslav victory as a Croatian one; after all, the band was Croat, they sang in Croatian, and the host city the following year was Zagreb
