Thank you all for keeping it real in front of the camera. Everyone gets frustrated in a given situation. Some of us hold it in, which isn't good. While others of us blow off steam. You all seem to have worked it out. Keep on ranchin.

Don't kid yourself he needs your help 💯 every day. He is grateful you're around ❤️
I am a husband, and my wife does so much. I get grumpy to, but the old I get, the more patients I have. Keep telling him to chill out, and things will work out.

It's nice to see when someone else knows the importance in being calm and gentle with cattle. Or any other livestock. Experienced enough to know when to do what and how to go about it makes all the difference in these situations. "The quality of the cattle in a pasture, or on a dinner plate, is a reflection of the quality of their caretaker." And btw 👍to yall.

Y’all working together is awesome to watch. Y’all are so gentle and careful not to stress the cattle. Just apply a little pressure when/where it’s needed, don’t rush ‘em or cause a panic. It’s an art, and Y’all are great at it. Much respect.
My Momma spent her 23 year marriage to my Daddy (until his death) trying to learn and anticipate how/what/when/where he needed her. They taught my sister and me to do the same. That doesn’t mean it didn’t get ugly & loud every now and again, but it did become smoother. Of all of the many life lessons they taught us, I’m extremely thankful for that one in particular. To observe, try to identify an issue, and prevent it or find a good solution before it becomes a big problem. That life skill has helped me all throughout my life. Anyhow, thanks for taking us along on y’all’s adventures. Much love and many prayers from Alsdorf, Tx. ❤

Last summer, fall, winter, and this last spring we didn't get no rain.
Hay prices sky rocket. I know of 11 ranches that sold out completely do too the cost.
Work we sold probably 400 cows.
Old age, bad bags, bad eyes etc had to go.
I sold 11 old cows and I'm fixing to sell 8 more.
It sucks but honestly if they can't produce a quality calf then they have to go. Supposedly by the end of the drought you should have a better heard.
Next month I'll be calving 12 bred heifers and I got another 12 replacement heifers I'm weaning right now.
I did finally get rain. I think in 5 days it rained 8 inches.
I think we got around 20 inches in 3 weeks. It was weird. Usually there's no grass right now. All burnt up etc.

I grew up ranching, and working at the cattle auction my father, still till this day runs in San Angelo, Texas. I have seen a lot of years of people selling out, livestock and restocking with Livestock. Droughts are always scary, but they’re a part of living in Texas. Especially if you’re west of the I-35 corridor.

Don't you get alot of waste by not unrolling them . I totally agree w/ you on the idea of a routine w/ the livestock . I run a intensive grazing outfit in central Nebraska . I had the yearlings pellet & siren broke . I use DeHy pellets for cake . It cost $350 / T compared to $550 /T for distillers . I also have a Beslar bale bed & do some custom feeding on cornstalks in the winter .
