  • There is one section in the partially restored Wey and Arun Canal that is long enough to make it worth paddling. Here we start at the visitor centre in Loxwood and paddle the eastern 2 mile section. Music is "Your Suggestions" by Unicorn Heads.

I enjoyed seeing the southern navigable section from a canoeist’s POV, including the downed tree! However I was disappointed to see the canoeists traversing the stop planks just before Drungewick Aquaduct. Those stop planks serve an important purpose and are inserted into the stop plank channels on each bank in a specific order. Traversing the top plank as you did causes wear and damage, please walk round them next time (from a volunteer and boat skipper at the Wey & Arun Canal Trust).
