Mr. Pearson, you're finished depiction of the diagram of time, along with the definitions and notes, is nothing short of fantastic. You have condensed all the time and angle terms into one easily understandably form. It would be truly helpful if the finished product was available as a pdf document that could be downloaded or printed so it could be added to my almanac as reference insert. Thank you for your video!

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a feedback. Much appreciated. I'll add a pdf version to my To-Do list. I expect to have it done within the next couple of weeks.

Thank you for the positive feedback. This relatively short video took over two weeks to produce. My goal was to ensure the Time Diagram concept was simplified as much as possible.

Can you find these answer if the given are
    Meridian angle(t)⭐ 20° West
    RA ⭐ 230°
    GHA ♈ 180°
    Find
    Longitude
    GHA⭐
    SHA⭐
    LHA⭐
    T ♈

Greetings. The problem should be workable. A "west" meridian angle (t) of a star means LHA of the star is the same value as t. Right Ascension (RA) is measured east from Aries to the star. Hence, Aries is located 230 west of the star. Since GHA is measured westward from G, you can work backward from Aries to get a GHA of 180°. This setup should allow you to solve your questuion.

Hello sir. How about if there is no given measurement of aries. No GHA, LHA, RA or even t of Aries. How do we get aries

Accurate time is needed to get GHA of Aries.

The almanac gives the position of Aries as well as listing the SHA values for the brightest stars.

Hello Mr. Pearson, I have a question. What if LONG. is West, should I still add the angles?

i have watched several videos on celestial navigation already and this one is way too fast, you don’t write down or explain the terms enough to follow easily. i understood nothing. why aries. what’s the small m and g. where tf is the observer.
the last part with the earth model was a bit better to understand.

JuliaMastouri, I'm so sorry about your experience with the video. I accept full responsibility for not disclosing the level of difficulty of these topics. I'll be sure to do so in the future. My celestial videos are intermediate to advanced levels. A video on basic celestial theory would help explain some of your questions. Here is my recommendation: ruclips.net/video/oZ4zDt8UEB8/видео.html
The video is old and image quality is not the best, but the information is timeless. After watching the video and subsequent parts, please let me know if you have questions. I just returned home from shipping so my response will be prompt. Best regards, SBP.

Hello. You would need to start with the time (UT) in the Nautical Almanac to extract the GHA of Aries. SHA of the stars and planets are also given. Your DR longitude is needed. You can then compute the other required information. Hope this helps.
