  • Let’s talk electric!
    What will Toyotas line up look like in a few years when it comes to full electric vehicles?
    Toyota has already seen great success with the Toyota hybrid line up as well as the Toyota Prime line up, but what about electric? Where is the future of electric, or is there a future for electric?

    EV’s are great for a small demographic of people. Usually those who have disposable income, retired and have a garage in an urban area. For everyone else, especially families there is way too many compromises, let alone the entry price and depreciation to even consider it.

    I've no interest in full EV, at least not yet. I think we still have much too far to go from a charging infrastructure perspective to make an EV purchase a mainstream option. For now, hybrid is the way to go and I'm happy that Toyota offers so many hybrid options. I'm going to be purchasing a new car later this year and I have my fingers crossed we'll see a Corolla hatch hybrid by the time I do!

    I love my bZ4X. The size is between the Rav4 and the Venza. The bZ4X is larger than the Rav4, I traded one for our bZ

    It will be interesting to see where this goes with govt mandate and infrastructure. It’s been on the news that some of the electricity we import uses fossil fuels to produce.
    Right now I’m happy with my Hybrid RAV4.
    I think they are going to have to change the type of full electric vehicle battery for something quick charging. It’s a big drawback. Totally agree.
    Love Ray & Zach!

    Need better infrastructure for fully electric. TMMC is no rush for FEV. Let's see how they function in a Canadian Winter. 😂

    If you have the ability to charge at home then electric vehicles make total sense. Most people and it sounds like you are one of them have a relatively short commute. If you use a tank every 2 weeks you will probably go a week on a full charge but you can then just plug into a level 2 charger at home and charge overnight. When you road trip a couple of times a year for a lot of people then yes more planning is required. As a car salesman I'm surprised you haven't done a little more research.

    The key to owning an EV: having a level 2 charger at home. Charging with public level 3 chargers can be a pain in the a$$

    The government should not force the consumers to buy an electric in 2035. These electric cars are a joke.

    • @peterward1698
      @peterward1698 Месяц назад

      They are not forcing consumers they are forcing manufacturers to only produce electric in 2035. You can keep your gas vehicle as long as you can afford to keep it going.

    • @leocaquatics811
      @leocaquatics811 Месяц назад

      Basically as a consumer if you want a new car in 2035 you have no choice to buy this EV crap. That is not right the consumers should still have the right to choose what best suits there needs.

    In answer to the video title question… I sure hope not. Impractical in every way. Gasoline works and is burning clean these days; use it.

      Pretty sure that's what they said about horses when they invented the internal combustion engine...
