    Just made this recipe today. It's fantastic!! Of course I used different fragrances, and some variations of the liquid oils. The formulation and result was wonderful. Exactly what I was hoping for. I so appreciate the generosity you give in sharing recipes. We are abundantly blessed. Lip balm is my next project.

    @Helen, thank you for your warmth, your accessibility and the wonderful recipes you share so generously. Creating products for me is a tiny side business and when I had a rough day in my real job and that I listen to one of your video, I feel like I was listening to a friend, telling how telling me how she created something wonderful. Your way of presenting things brightens my day.

    I love your videos! They're super informative, especially since I'm extremely new to this, so I'm basically clueless. I was wondering if there are there any kind of organic preservatives that can be used in things like sugar scrubs, lotions, or body butters?

    Ellen, you do such an awesome job. I love your work. Do you mind telling me how you factor the amount of butters, oils, wax, fragrance, preservative & stearic acid to the ounce of sugar you use in your recipe?

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  Год назад +1

      There's a bit of wiggle room, but you need enough sugar to fully saturate the mix or it will just melt in and make a sticky mess. So lots of sugar is good😉

    Hi Ellen. I made this scrub but to late, realized I didn't add right when I broke up the different types of oil. I have 2.5 oz. to much of liquid oil. It is still pretty soft and would pour out if tipped. Shouldn't it be more firm? If so, any ideas how to fix? I definitely should have made half the recipe! Thanks a bunch. Valerie

    • @EllenRuthSoap

      @@EllenRuthSoap Good news. Guess I should have waited a little longer. It did firm up so should be fine. I will definitely be more careful with calculating & measuring liquid oils. I used 3 different liquid oils but miscalculated the amount of the last one and had to much. Duh! Thanks so much again and thanks for sharing your recipe.
