Throwing some encouragement your way, impressed you are pushing yourself to try new things, perfection is a bit overrated in sewing, sometimes it’s good enough. Nothing you showed was glaringly homemade, I couldn’t see half the mistakes you pointed out, and we do all make them, every time, and fit is a skill unto itself, apart from sewing. So you’re tackling a lot, kudos, but give yourself a quick win, is always a refreshingly thing to sew, a tee for example. ❤
If you examine commercial/mass produced clothing, nothing is perfect. Quite the contrary! (And then think about how much you paid for said garment just cuz it has a brand name on it 😬😬🙄😂) 😸🍀❤
The fact that you can make so much with little kids is inspiring. I loved seeing you in an earlier video with the Sherpa jacket. Sherpa is definitely a challenge to work with. The Mimi G make is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
LOVE SEEING A YOUNG PERSON SO "INTO" SEWING! Watched your shed redo and that was awesome. I have been sewing since I made most of my clothes during the early sixties! Babies after that and I made matching rompers, etc. bonnets, etc. when I finally had a girl. So many good memories. Question: do you have a full length mirror in your shed. And suggestion: consider a drop down "leaf" to give you more cutting area when laying out the fabric and pattern pieces. You probably already thought of that. Good luck on all of your endeavors....you are very courageous to start with knits! If they are crawling on you a "walking foot" is great for that. I am subscribing because you are cute as a button!
Aww that’s awesome to read! I do have a full length mirror and use my walking foot with all my knits. I cut on the floor. I’ve been giving thought to engineering a wider table space for cutting, how to add an extension to my current work bench, but the floor is working just fine for now. Thank you for the wonderful suggestions and for subscribing! ❤️
I’m glad you appreciate it 😂 I couldn’t be me if I wasn’t honest. I needed that when I first started sewing so I gotta bring some transparency to the community 😂
This is my first time watching one of your videos and love that you include the price breakdown for each garment. I have the McCalls jacket and the Mimi G set on my list of items to make so thanks for the pattern review for those.
Like your videos very much. Not oh look what I've made, everything turned out wonderful !! Not real life sewing, for me anyway 😂 No mistakes, nothing to learn. 🙂

I love how honest you are. This is real life. I have made so many mistakes. Some I’ve been able to bounce back quick and other times, not so much. 😂
