Aw! That’s amazing. Who would have thought a South African in Austria would watch a South African gardening in the US 🤣. Thank you for your kind comment!❤️🥰
Amazing clarity, balance, and "pop". By far the best Garden tour I've seen. Wife and I just began gardening this spring and your videos have been quite an inspiration.
You have a very well maintained garden! Love everything. Your grass has no weeds either! Just lovely ❣️ The front garden bed edging is so unique with those crest shape pavers 🌙. adds so much interest🪴👒🪴
I just discovered your channel. What a beautiful job you’ve done. I will take a lot of inspiration and ideas from your beautiful landscaping. I thank you for sharing it with us.
I’m a succulent beginner, do you leave your succulents out during the winter? You have such a beautiful place beautiful plants flowers, you’re hanging baskets are amazing, thank you for sharing.
Autumn joy sedums and the like need to be divided every few years. Beautiful garden! You made all the right choices and made a good work schedule. It really shows. Good job 👏
Lovely combinations, what zone are you in? It's interesting the way you've combined indoor and outdoor plants into beautiful combinations. Would not think of putting "strings of **" outside 😮
Wow, how beautiful! First time viewer here and I am in love with your style! I agree with you about Linda Vater's Snowball Viburnum, can't wait to see yours bloom! (may I ask what is your lovely accent?)
Beautiful gardens!! 🪴🌿🌸Thanks for sharing. I love your porch pots with the caladiums! ❤ What type of trailing plant is it in those containers? I didn’t recognize it.
Hi Carol, you're right, I add compost every spring and I plant a border of annuals in front of the Sedum which I water and fertilize regularly, It's definitely in the wrong place. I'll try the mid year chop to see if it holds it shape better, in not I may have to relocate it. Happy gardening ❤
Hi there! For my containers and hanging baskets I use store bought potting soil, either Miracle Grow or Espoma. I add slow release fertilizer when I plant then give a weekly feeding with water soluble fertilizer 🌸
Hello there, new follower here. I noticed you mentioned that you took out the leaves of the allium plants. Will that create problems for the next season?
Personally I think that as soon as the bulb has stored enough energy for next year, the leaves begin to wither. It doesn't have to be timed exactly with the flowers peak bloom time, some leaves are already dying when their pretty flowers are coming up. Kinda like spider lilies. I just cut them back as soon as the leaves start looking tired, I haven't noticed a negative effect.
Hi Ellen, the Allium leaves turn yellow pretty quickly, I usually snip the yellow parts off then pull the remaining leaf off when it's mostly dead. They come back every year although my blooms gradually reduce in size annually. I like to replant fresh bulbs every 2 to 3 years🌸.
One of the prettiest gardens I’ve seen. 😮
Thank you for your kind comment!❤
What a beautiful, well kept garden. A nice surprise to hear your South African accent. An ex pat here, in Austria.👏😍👏😍😊

Thank you!❤ The trailing plant is String of Bananas. I propagated them over winter, they turned out quite lovely!
@@ThymeToGarden1975 Ahhh ok. I’ll have to find them in one of my local garden centers. Thanks for the info and good night! ☺️
Sedum don’t like a lot of fuss. Sparse water and no fertilizer and full sun make them happiest.

You sound very South African🇿🇦
I was born and raised in South Africa🇿🇦❤️
Do you have indoor plants? If you do I would love to see yours.
Hi, yes, I do, that's a great idea. ❤
what soil mix do you use they are all lush and healthy do you use some fertilizer?

The deer chopped my sedum in half for me. Been a horrible year with deer. 😒
Oh no!!!😕
Which begonias are those in front?
They are the Surefire rose begonias from Proven Winners.

Hallo, wie machs du die Wege so sauber? Keine Unkraut! Der Garten ist wunderschön!
Hallo,😃 we use mulch in our garden beds. In our vegetable garden we did put down weed guard before we added wood mulch to the pathways. 🌸
