Oh my goodness 😍those babies are the most precious thing ever and their open mouths, just Adorable. Your garden is so peaceful that mum felt safe to build her nest there. Also, you are so brave to cut off your flowers like that!!! Great video thanks 🙏🏼
Such beautiful hanging baskets & container plantings! Thanks for the inspiration and reminder that it’s quite ok to give those petunias and calibrachoa a haircut in midsummer! The baby robins and mamma are sooo precious…you must feel so happy and proud to be providing them with an environment that they can call home & be nurtured in! So sweet! 🥲
Your baskets and potted plants are just amazing…some of them don’t even look real. You do a fabulous job with maintaining them. Have to love gardening to put in so much time and energy..but the end result is stunning.
Your backyard is so beautiful and serene if I were a bird I would choose it also. The saying that a picture is worth a thousand words is evident for whomever looks at your yard. You are truly a victory gardener. Just lovely.
Love your videos…..I moved to same zone from Metro Atlanta almost 10 years ago. And you mentioned you moved to your home 10 years ago. WOW, look what you have done. Stunning. Those hydrangeas are going to get huge. I need to move mine bc they are so big & I love them. Thanks, for sharing & the lessons.
@@ThymeToGarden1975 I thought about that after I posted & was wondering if it was a breed that was smaller. But, I see that your beds are well built & full of healthy soil, you can move things around. It’s so relaxing watching you. But, I know the work you put in….just lovely.
@@ThymeToGarden1975Hi there! 👋🏼 My Bobo hydrangea is now 4.5’ x 4.5’ even after I cut it back by 1/3 this past spring. It’s an absolutely beautiful specimen and is loving life but I didn’t expect it to grow this large when I read the tag upon purchasing it. It’s definitely a show stopper in my front bed! In its 3rd growing season in Zone 7B - Delaware. 😊
Which fertilizer do you use for your annuals? Also, absolutely love the Bobo Hydrangea…it’s a stunning specimen! I have one that is loving life…in its 3rd season and it is huge and super healthy. I pruned it in the early spring and it’s 4 ft. x 4 ft. now so be prepared for yours to get larger than the tag says by their 3rd season.
Correction…my Bobo is more like 4.5 ft. tall x 4.5 ft. wide…much taller than the tag states…but still highly recommend if you don’t mind them getting that large where you have them planted. I’m in zone 7B (Delaware). 🙂
I use the proven winners water soluble fertilizer to feed my annuals. I'm super excited about the BoBo Hydrangea. You're right, It's amazing how these plants exceed expectations when they are happy. Hope mine will be as happy as yours although if they get too big,I'll be moving them in 3 years😆
What a wonderful garden front and back❤ question for you: other than using water to spray off aphids do you use any other products? This year has been super awful for pests for me, Japanese beetles and aphids on my roses, spider mites on my dahlias and ants galore.
Thank you so much! ❤Yes, if the water doesn't do the trick I will mix up a batch of Captain Jacks Deadbug, wait for dusk (when pollinators go to bed) then spray the entire plant down. This helps with aphids, budworms and cabbage worms. The Japanese beetles are the worst I hand pick then drown them in soapy water. Thankfully they're only out for 6 weeks. For ants I use terro liquid ant bait, works like a charm. Fortunately, I don't have much experience with spider mites. Good luck and happy gardening🌺
@@ThymeToGarden1975 that’s the product I’ve been using for years, but this season seems to be a real tough one for nasty pests. Also, my Shasta daisies are over 4 feet this year! I might have to move them like you did with yours. Tall, leggy and floppy is not my style ❤️
@@ThymeToGarden1975 that’s great to hear, I’m in zone 5b Illinois. Makes me think I can also grow my garden quite lush next year! Appreciate your videos 🌻 Am looking forward to your fall plantings :)
Hi there, find a node and pinch off the stem just above it, you may sacrifice some blooms, but the plant will branch out and reward you with many more blooms🌺
You cut all the blooms off your daisy plant?? I have a yard full of different types of daisy's. How long till flowers come back on. I don't understand. Thank you. Beautiful plants you have!! you
Hi Debra, this variety sets a lot of blooms at once and the blooms all wilt at the same time leaving the plant looking terrible. You could take the time to deadhead all the blooms, but there are so many. I usually chop a third off the plant and it will refresh the plant and give another round of blooms. I decided to move them to the back yard and plant Hydrangeas in their place so the blooms can be beautiful for a longer time. Happy gardening🌺
About six years ago, we installed an inground irrigation system, and I specifically requested two drip zones. One zone waters my vegetable garden and the concrete pots along the fence, while the other zone is dedicated to watering my patio. I hope that makes sense.

Lovely. What type of tree / shrub were you trmming at the end...a burning bush possibly?
Good eye! Yes👍🏻😃
