“A good entry point player”! Really!!! Ok, in comparison to a full blown Nexus system, you might be right. You did however talk about the Mobile DJ, and this, for that kind of application, is a „lot“ more than „entry point“, in fact, 3500 Bucks more than entry point.

Suppose it's all a matter of perspective, right? Most of them that we've sold so far are to high end mobile DJs and we agree - it's cheaper than a complete NXS rig - especially now that the 900NXS2 is discontinued.

This ain't it. XDJXZ is the way to go if you want to switch from Computer to sticks

The XZ is outdated. The Opus makes way more sense for someone who is coming from the comfort of a computer to USB. Not to mention the XZ doesn't have 4 decks stand-alone. It's a waste. Better off waiting for the XZ2 if the Opus isn't for you. And even then, it's unclear if the XZ2 is going to have 4 standalone decks anyway.

@@b__p Your comparing a club sized/layout unit to an ugly bedroom unit. The XZ is far superior to the opus in all aspects. You can still run it with 4 channels with rekordbox or additional CDJs

@@STXVIEC That's fine if you don't like the way the Opus looks but it is in fact a club size unit. In fact, it's a little bigger than the XZ. You saying the XZ is a better unit in every way tells me you actually don't know a thing about the Opus Quad. I don't know where you got "bedroom unit" from. It's marketed towards mobile DJs and high end installs. The Opus has just about everything the XZ has and more.
List of what Opus Has that XZ doesn't: Pioneers only true 4 channel all-in-one system, hot-gate cue combination (an industry first and one i'm very excited about), X-Y effects pad, Pioneers first capacitive touch screen (finally), 10 inch screen, larger secondary screens as opposed to jog screens for important information, Pioneers first beat loop rotary (a favorite among Traktor/Denon users), Device Library Plus making it the fastest drive reader from Pioneer, beat effects select now shows up on screen which means the possibility to add new beat effects with a software update, secondary track preview option activated with browse joystick. These are just the things I could think of off the top of my head that no other Pioneer system has.
(Yes, Opus is missing slip mode but that is being added to the Slip Rev button in an update)
