    When Suga's "dream" part came in the song Snooze, I had goosebumps all over my body. Honestly, "so far away" left such a great impact on me, especially his same "dream" part that now him recreating those same lines gave me everything I needed to break down and just let my every emotion talk for me.
    Only MIN YOONGI has the power to make you remember the worst pain you ever felt and then take it away smoothly, so that you can forgive them all who caused it but at the same time never forget them

    Yellow journalism is journalism based on sensationalism and crude exaggeration over facts.

      And the term originated as an anti Asian racist term as well wt the caricature style drawings of Asian immigrants and workers in the US (being dirty, having diseases- skin color etc) so particularly pertinent to Yoongi

    Yoongi’s album is an ART. The kind of musical spectrum he is showing… from soft to hard to rap to vocal to instrument to beat🤯🤯🤯🤯 Snooze is such a heartwarming song… he sends a message to us no matter what he will always be there 😭😭😭💜💜

    "Yellow journalism and yellow press are American terms for journalism and associated newspapers that present little or no legitimate, well-researched news while instead using eye-catching headlines for increased sales. Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism. By extension, the term yellow journalism is used today as a pejorative to decry any journalism that treats news in an unprofessional or unethical fashion." - Wikipedia

    Thank you so much for your review of the album! I could go on days admiring how much I love this D-Day album. Multiple songs from his first two mixtapes are on my daily repeat playlist so hearing this third album really does feel like a conclusion- even though I know it’s not the end for SUGA.
    My interpretation of his first mixtape, Agust D, was that he was very angry and trying to prove himself. And you could feel that aggression. But even so, the mixtape blew my mind because of how raw and emotional it was. His second album I took it more that he was trying to figure out all of the struggles that he was going through. Then D-Day just feels like he understands what he needs to do to be happier and be more in peace.
    We’ve seen BTS grow as artists and individuals. D-Day feels more mature, yet, it does not lack the passion that his first album has. And I think that is one of the things that makes a great artist, a great artist- the passion never goes away.
    I truly believe this was his best album out of the Trilogy! We are all so proud of him!

    his lyrics have always hit insanely hard, The Last from his first mixtape and Amygdala are the ones that hurt the most I think. He's had genuinely such a rough time of trying to make something of himself and has barely gotten any time to mourn. He deserves everything in the world and more for his hardships and consistent DRIVE to put his thoughts and shit out into the universe. I also really admire his way of calling out haters and shittalkers without even naming them, he's come out saying 'if the shoe fits' about it all when people get up in arms about it as if to say 'you know who the fuck you are'

    What Suga said about Haegeum 5shout out to BTS 💜 Sweet 💜 Life) that can help us understand what he wanna do with this album
    Suga: The point of idols is that we don't have to commit a crime or do something controversial for people to make a big deal out of small things and judge us. I could never understand the mentality of these people. I mean, I've never caused trouble, but for example, when an idol smokes a cigarette in a music video, let's say I get criticized for these things at the age of 31. I firmly believe that this is a social phenomenon that we need to think about. I wanted to unlock what is forbidden to us. And since the world of information is now just a click away, even I have stopped using my imagination and my thoughts. So here's my message: let's get rid of these things. Thanks to all the brilliant technology we have, we can now easily find out what's going on in the world. But I firmly believe that it is for this reason that some things in our lives are actually forbidden to us. It's okay to care less about what others think. You must be able to do what you want.

    I'm paused@ 17:03 in your conversation on adulthood/finding your purpose so young, with the rest of your life still facing you...
    What I have found is that life cycles through, like a wheel, and you will repeatedly ask the same(or similar) questions about life, your purpose, who are you, and what's next ("NOW What?!!?") About every 20 years (or so. Sometimes less). You will answer these questions each cycle, in such a way that you can move forward and grow in that cycle. For me, I realized it one cycle, where my children in their 20's were asking the same questions I had been struggling with in my 40's as I approached 50's, and my mother was experiencing and questioning in her 70's, and my grandmother in her 90's. It's present in each childhood state as well as we recognize our independence/individuality/separateness from parents and struggle to find our bearings/place/boundaries in this new-to-us world. Throughout life we will experience loss and change of circumstances that shakeup our world a and our understanding of our place/purpose in it. Life is CHANGE. EVERYTHING goes. I hope this fills you with relief as it did me. Recognizing it was a human constant instead of a one time goal to be achieved(that I STILL hadn't gotten right by 50) also helped me see that i was surrounded by everyone else somewhere on that same struggle. I was filled with hope for my next chapters, that this present reality is not the end of my story. Your purpose will change over time... And that's ok! There will be new challenges and opportunities, especially if you can perceive it as adventures into becoming the most awesome human you can be. 💜 Peace fill your journey!!🖖
    Moving on... Google "yellow journalism". It's a specific term.

    hi, guys, I have a dumb question
    what makes a beat be drill? I'm seeing a lot of ppl call huh drill but idk what it means
    sorry if this is dumb, but I'd love for a recommendation of an artist who does drill so can have a better understanding of what it is

    • @AnnaIvonina
      @AnnaIvonina Год назад +2

      Hi. found it on the web "Drill music is a form of trap music known for its violent and dark content. Originating from the south side of Chicago, this subgenre of hip hop music focuses on the daily occurrences and crime that occurs in the city. The term drill is a slang word used in the streets that denotes someone using automatic weapons".

    • @imessential8971
      @imessential8971 Год назад +3

      ^^^ what they said! Some examples of drill artists would be Pop Smoke, Lil Durk , Chief Keef, Polo G, Fivio Foreign ect. Even Ice Spice is considered drill even though she does not rap about street stuff.

      hey, im a music producer so i can give you some info about a beat being drill.
      DRILL Music/Beats have some factors.
      - The beat patterns. The placement of the Hi-Hats, snare/claps/rims and kick are different than a normal hip-hop and trap beat.
      - THE 808'S ARE A BIG FACTOR THAT MAKES A BEAT DRILL. They have a raspy hitting 808 pattern that MUST have SLIDING 808 NOTES.
      - What the rappers talk about in the drill music. Trap and Drill are very different in their subjects. Trap is talking about drugs, hence rappers like Future, Young Thug, 21 Savage and many more and considered Trap artists. MEANWHILE, Drill talks about killing. now one thing you have to remember, drill songs are made in their own respective regions. The three most popular Drill music regions are UK Drill, NY Drill and Chicago Drill. NY and Chicago Drill talk about killings with guns (artists like Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, Chief Sosa, etc.) , meanwhile UK Drill is mostly Stabbings with Knives and somewhat talks about guns as well (artists such as Digga D, Kwengface, SR, etc.)
      But in todays time, Drill genre is more on a loose end, basically if someone knows and recognizes the drill pattern in the beat, you can say its drill, even know the melody is not dark and not a common drill melody that uses instruments like Piano and String instruments.
      Some Drill artists i would recommend - Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, SR (UK Rapper) (listen to "Welcome to Brixton"), Russ Millions (UK), Tion Wayne (UK), kwengface (UK), Central Cee (UK), Abra Cadabra (UK), Unknown T (UK), Headie One (UK), AJ Tracey (UK), Kay Flock, French The Kid (UK), Digga D (UK), Durchavelli (UK). There are many more but these are the ones i think of at the moment icl.
      Hope this gives you just the basic understanding of Drill genre. thanks.

    • @nathalykim1263

      @@aashmandulloo wow, thank you for the deep explanation! yeah, I had only heard of UK drill before, so I actually thought it was a UK thing lol
