Not many baby ARMYs know he wrote this for a childhood friend who dreamed to make it big like him but had gone astray. Yoongi even visited him in jail. We don't know what happened to that friend; I wish him well. Maybe Yoongi remembered how they used to dream together, how far he's gone.

To show his vulnerability like this to so many people definitely had to take a tot of strength and trust on us, i find precious that he is comfortable with us, i feel bad that he had to go through so much but i feel grateful that he doesn't hide his feelings anymore, when i saw the performance the first time all i wanted was to jump through the screen and give him a warm hug.

It’s so raw! From what I understand (you can find the news / meaning behind this song) it’s a heartbreaking story and you can feel that regret and heartbreak when you wish you could have just held that person back. From dream and the perspective of having extreme struggles saying ‘everything will be okay’ and wanting to help others to cope with the struggles, to singing dear friend (loss) , then to amygdala It was very obvious how the three songs fit together and why Yoongi’s emotions overflowed. The fact he doesn’t hold back and he shows his emotions is a huge strength in my opinion and yes I was crying with him. He is very straightforward with his lyrics in you can feel and understand exactly what message he’s conveying.
He has had so much built up inside for all these years that it's time to let it out. God bless our Yoongi!

Those tears r his emotions from realising he will be going away to the military soon..he will miss the army...knowinb his brothers r there..the sunbaes n idols r there in his last show...n the fact he is becoming the younger idols' sunbae...that 10 years just went by...all these realisation just made him emotional. But it was a good release...

It's not being cold. It's survival. And sometimes it's necessary to be able to carry on and exist in life. I love Yoongi so much! I was lucky enough to see him concert, at the risk of sounding overly dramatic, it was life changing. Witnessing and listening to his path with similarities to mine as far as the mental health aspect. It was soul crushing but also hopeful and uplifting. I loved him before, but I love him so much more now. Didn't think that was possible. Also, please don't change anything about yourself. I get you. I used to be very emotional and compationate but while working as a psychatric resident in Korea, struggling with so many suicidal and depressive patients, I suppressed my emotions because I had to live on.
It's hard time nowadays and I think you are just as healthy as yoongi because you understand yourself and show your emotions when you want to. I wish you a peaceful night.

Hey Sebastine, I resonated so much with everything you said. I’ve also been in that position where people weren’t being real with me, losing people and slowly distancing myself from my emotions. Bur I promise you, it well get better. I’ve resently met some very amazing people that are now my closest friends, they make letting out my emotions and telling them little things like „I miss you“ so worth it. Keep being you, because you are amazing. Just wait a little longer, and the right people will come into your life eventually. We love you💜
People need to take an example of Yoongi. He is raw and always being himself. Every 7 of the BTS members. But Yoongi just raw about everything and that is why i will always respect him.

I love Yoongi and I think he really needed and wanted to let it out. I'm just so honored that he trusted us to catch him 😢. It was his last show, his brothers/members were there. He said there were a lot of seniors there and he probably knew about the enlistment news. It all must have overwhelmed him.

i watched this on the online streaming and he was emotional the whole night, you could feel it a little in Life Goes On, then Snooze he got choked up, and then Dear My Friend it REALLY all came out. He joked after saying he was ok, but then The Last came up and you could tell he was holding back the tears a little more, but the way the show ended was happy, and everyone was crying for a new reason, but it was an INSANELY emotionally charged concert

The song is about yoongi's real friend from his hometown that lost through addiction. He was a drug addict and ended up in jail (in Korea it's penalized harsly using drugs), when he got out he started using again and Yoongi was so disappointed in him for the way he wasted his life

It was an emotional night. Suga was ending not only his tour but also the AgustD era. The story in his albums progressed from very angry to pain to acceptance to mending. He relieved all those emotions that night. Is he healed? That will take while but he is in the right mental health to make it happen and his inner strength and braveness will take him pass the door and into a journey or utter peace. This song is about a friend during trainee days who ended up in detention center. Yoongi tried his best to be there for that friend. I cried that night.
When Yoongi writes his songs and we hear his pain and emotions in the music it's one thing.....but actually seeing him crying and baring it all infront of armies up on stage is something completely different. For me it's heartbreaking but also....healing at the same time. 🥹💜 see you in 2025 🥰

A friend of mine is currently struggling a lot with her mental health. I love her so much and she lives only around the block but I haven’t managed to see her in 5 months in that time she has missed prom with me and for the first time missed my dance recital. I have walked to her house and knocked but she doesn’t answer even though over text she said that I could come over. I’m not even angry I just miss her I’m just scared.
I cry every time I hear this song. It reminds me of my own life and since I became a fan this has been my favourite solo song from his work (honourable mentions of snooze and amygdala) but his emotional depth in this song reminds me constantly why he’s my bias. His vulnerability in this moment gave me full body chills.💜🥹

I really think it was a mixed of emotions and Yoongi said after the concert that he started crying because he remembered all the hard times he and BTS had until really make it. But we didn't have the news of the military service so it was definitely that too. 2 years without doing what you were born to do and not knowing for sure how is going to be i 2025. That hits hard.

@@emmahaslam1905 anyone can see those weren't happy tears. Do you remember how he said that he cried himself to sleep in his parents bed during Covid pandemic because the tours were canceled? This is the same feeling. Here it comes almost 2 years of not doing what he loves the most: music. Almost 2 years without doing what he was born to do and after years and years of hard work to finally achieve what he wanted, they take it away again. Definitely not happy tears although he wants to believe it will be the same, the uncertainty is there.

At the start of that video he said that it was a time where he thought that he had lost everything and other lyrics about sandcastles at that time made me think there was more to it .
As for the final those were well earned tears. The love in the venue was palpable. A huge emotion was felt. The trouble with all the edits is that without the original sound he looks like he is bawling when he is actually singing the waah ah ah oh part of dear my friend.

I've seen that Suchwita episode seveal times and we have different discussions about it in every social media. You've got it wrong, sorry. I haven't watched editions, I've watched every single one of Yoongi's concerts from start to finish . And nobody is denying the love the public showed to him but to put it simple, nobody wants to say goodbye. For people that find it hard to express emotions, especially ones that hurt, it normally gets bottled until the cap pops off and everything fizzes out at once. The last time I cried over losing a friendship was 10th grade. I moved to another town when my mom started working at the casino so from 6th grade til 10th I was friends with these 2 girls I met when I first moved there. It was always the 3 of us but only at school cause I wasn't allowed to go to their house because I was black. So we just talked at school and on the phone I could call cause their parents thought I was white. 😒 But fast forward to this break down it was literally over one of the girls being jealous and crying to her only for them to both start ignoring me to my face and when I'd try to call. It was bad cause one of the times I did call one of the girls older sister called me the N word when she picked up. During that time it was lonely AF like what do you do when the people you trusted most the ones you talked to every single day for 4 years just stops talking to you. Those friendships never got put back together there was no going back to how it was. I didn't have many girl friends after that I started keeping my guard up and just dealing with people from a distance. I'm still line that now but I'm happy on my own I have one best friend we don't talk much because she's a mom of 5 so we chat from time to time but she's my only trusted and true friend.
