مولا علی علیہ سلام کی سب سے بڑی فضیلت ”کَافر کہتے ہیں کہ آپ رسول نہیں ہیں، آپ اِن سے کہہ دیں کہ میری رسالت پر ایک اللہ شہید (حاضر ناظر گواہ) ہے اور اور دوسرا وہ جس کو پوری کتاب (قُرآن) کا عِلم ہے‟ (سورة الرّعد آیت-43)- اِس آیت کے ذیل میں حضور(ص) نے فرمایا، ” دوسرا گواہ علی ہے‟ - مولا علی عَلَیْہ السَّلَام نے فرمایا، ”میری سب سے بڑی فضیلت یہ ہے کہ لا شریک نے مجھے نبوت کی گواہی میں اپنے ساتھ شریک کیا‟- اِعلانِ نبوت کی گواہی سب مسلمان دیتے ہیں، لیکن عطائے نبوت کے گواہ صرف مولاِ علی عَلَیْہ السَّلَام ہیں، یعنی نبوت کا عُہدا مل رہا تھا اور آپ دیکھ رہے تھے!
**Arabic**: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا لَا نَعْلَمُ مِنْهُ إِلَّا خَيْرًا وَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَهُ **Urdu**: اے اللہ ہم اس کی طرف سے خیر کے سوا کچھ نہیں جانتے اور تو اسے ہم سے بہتر جانتا ہے اس لیے اسے معاف کر دے English as: "Oh Allah, we do not know anything about him except good, and You know better about him than us, so forgive him."
HERITORS OF QUR’AN IN THE LIGHT OF QUR’AN Qur’an is inheritance, and its inheritors are the mustafa (chosen) people (Surah Faatir Verse-32). The inheritor is always superior to his /her inheritance. If the inheritor falls sick he /she spends his /her inheritance (wealth, property etc) to gain the lost health. In the context of subject superiority, a comparative status evaluation of the heirs of Qur’an follows. Qur’an is al-ilm (encompasses roots of all knowledge) (Surah aal-e-Imran Verse-61), then its inheritors are city and gate of knowledge, those firmly grounded in knowledge (rasikhuna fil ilm), and those endowed with the divine knowledge (Outo al-iIm). The true interpretation of Qur’an is known to Allah (ST) and those who are firmly grounded in knowledge (Surah aal-e-Imran Verse-7). Allah (ST) shall exalt status of Outo al-ilm (Surah al-Mujaadila Verse-11). Moreover, in reality Qur’an is in the breast of those endowed with the divine knowledge (Outo al-ilm) (Surah al-Ankaboot Verse-49). Allah (ST) states, “If there was a Qur'an by which the mountains be moved or the earth was travelled over or the dead could be spoken to then this is the one . . .” (Surah ar-Ra’ad Verse-31). Hence Outo al-Ilm are imbued with subject Qur’anic atributes. Qur’an is clear light of guidance (Surah an-Nisaa Verse-174), and its inheritors are the divine guiding light. Qur’an is mahayman (trustworthy, dominant, guardian, protector) (Surah al-Maaida Verse-48) and its inheritors are trustees, guardians, protectors and dominants. Qur’an has no crookedness (Surah az-Zumar Verse-28) and its inheritors are faultless. Falsehood can’t come near Qur’an (Surah Fussilat Verse-42) and its inheritors are infallible (masoom). Qur’an is insight; evidence, intelligence and thought provoking (Surah al-A’araaf Verse-52) and its inheritors are blessed with the divine intelligence and are signs of proof of Allah (ST). Qur’an is clear guidance, glad tidings and mercy for the Muslims (Surah an-Nahl Verse-89) and the inheritors are guide and mercy for the people. Qur’an is full of wisdom (Surah Yaseen Verse-2) and its inheritors are apex of wisdom. Qur’an is truth (haq): nothing but the truth (Surah Faatir Verse-31) and the inheritors are the truthful personalities, because when the issue (fatherhood) of Prophet Eysa (ES) could not be resolved with the Christians of Najran, Prophet Muhammad (SW) was commanded by Allah (ST) to invite them for contest (mubahylah) (Surah aal-e-Imran Verse-61), and in this open contest of truth (صداقت) the Prophet (SW) took only the most truthful (صدیق) personalities {Mawla Ali, Imam Hassan and Hussain (ES) and Lady Fatima (SE)} (Sihah Sittah). Seeing them the Christians’ chief priest Abdul Masih abstained from the contest and agreed to pay nominal tax (jizya). Allah (ST) declared subject incident as the account of truth i.e., haq (Surah aal-e-Imran Verse-62). Qur’an is the apex of grandeur (Surah al-Hijar Verse-87), and the inheritor sign of great news {Ali (ES) vicegerency declaration at Ghadeer}. Qur’an is Mobeen: crystal clear (Surah Yaseen Verse-69), and its inheritor Imam-e-Mobeen (Surah Yaseen Verse-12). Qur’an is unique and unmatchable and the joint efforts of all humans and Jinns can’t produce a book of its kind (Surah al-Isra Verse-88), and its inheritors are matchless. Qur’an is Majeed: the apex of honour (Surah Qaaf Verse-1), and its inheritors are figures of great honour. Qur’an is Furqaan: distinguishes the truth from evil (Surah al-Furqaan Verse-1), and its inheritors are distinguisher of truth from falsehood. After the tragedy of Karbala, recitation of Qur’an on the tip of the spear by the head of Imam Hussain (ES) is a glaring proof of this fact. Qur’an is Kareem: bounteous and honoured (Surah al-Waaqia Verse-77), and its inheritors are apex of the honour. Qur’an is Shafa for the believers i.e., quenches the thrust, fulfills the desires (Surah Fussilat Verse-44), and its inheritors are urge quenchers (Malik-e-Shafa). It is difficult to understand Qur’an completely (Surah aal-e-Imran Verse-7), and its inheritors are divine helpers. Qur’an is absolutely pure and none can reach the depths of its meaning except the purified ones (Surah al-Waaqia Verse-79). Ahlul Bayt surpass everybody in subject category, because Mawla Ali (ES), Lady Fatima (SE) and Imam Hassan and Hussain (ES) were under the mental along with Prophet Muhammad (SW) when this purification clause was revealed: “ Allah intends to keep-off all impurities exclusively from you , O you Ahlul Bayt and to keep you at the apex of purity” (Surah al-Ahzaab-33). The Prophet (SW) said, “I am leaving two weighty things Qur’an and my Itrat (Ahlul Bayt), they will remain enjoined till they meet me at the pool of Kawthar on the Day of Judgment. One who remains associated with them surely will not go astray and the one who remains away will drown and perish” and, “After me there shall be twelve vicegerents (khalifas) all from the tribe of Quresh and the 12th will be Muhammad al-Mahdi” (Sihah Sittah). The personalities who meet inheritance attributes discussed above in toto are: Ali s/o Abu Talib, Hassan s/o Ali, Hussain s/o Ali, Ali s/o Hussain, Muhammad s/o Ali, Jaffer s/o Muhammad, Mussa s/o Jaffer, Ali s/o Mussa, Muhammad s/o Ali, Ali s/o Muhammad, Hassan s/o Ali and Muhammad al-Mahdi s/o Hassan. On the night of Power the angles and the Holy Spirit descend therein, by the permission of Rab (creator, sustainer and guide) with all the decrees (Surah al-Qadar Verse-4). Hence the presence of a Competent Authority (Sahib-e-Amr) is essential to whom the decrees are handed over and He is Imam Mohammad al-Mahdi (ES) the present Imam. Allah (ST) states, “. . . Then We made the inheritors of Qur’an the chosen (mustafa) servants . . .” (Surah Faatir Verse-32). Allah (ST) bestows peace (Slaam) on the chosen (mustafa) servants (Surah an-Namal Verse-59). As such, being the inheritors of Qur’an their names are honored with the suffix title of Elayh Slaam in the Prophet Mosque.
