Todaiji Temple and Nara park were a sight to behold. The statues at Nandaimon gate were magnificent. I learned that they were built in 69 days. Absolutely amazing. They look like paintings but when you get up close you see that they are actually wood. One of the most magnificent things I saw when I was in Japan.
