    The book looks great. I appreciate Rachel’s questions and commentary as well. I’m sure she knows the answers to her questions but is asking for viewers such as myself who don’t know.

    An excellent guide for the novice cleaner/pressers among us.
    With some great tips along the way.

    I love the Superman comic behind you on your wall. Classic Cover. One of my favorite covers. Other two classic covers are the Liberty Bell and the American Eagle with the Shield in the background. Really like your channel

    Great instructional video! You demonstrate the dry cleaning better than most of the videos I’ve watched. You and your daughter make a great team, too!

    I’m sure it gets old hearing this from me but I love all your videos.
    However, I think this is the best one I’ve ever seen you do. I loved watching it.
    I now realize pressers and cleaners should charge more.
    If I had to guess I would say it took you 500 - 1,000 hours to learn everything you showed us in this video.
    Thanks as always!

    Thanks for sharing your technique on pressing a comic book. I can see pressing takes a lot of patience and knowing what steps to take depending on condition of the comic.

    I appreciate the way you talk during the process and teach as you go. I will be doing my first book soon and am nervous about damaging, but will use a cheap one first to practice.

    Hi how do you make a chamfered board & how would you recommend removing ink stamps from US comics sold in the UK
    thanks love you guys & your show❤

      I buy them from Rick at immaculate comics (he has an online store). I personally don’t remove ink. I sometimes remove grease pencil, but not as much as I used to.

    I'm new to all this. So you're saying using peroxide makes the book deteriorate after time?

    • @futurepastvintagecollectables
      @futurepastvintagecollectables  4 месяца назад

      I’m saying I have no idea. I really don’t. Peroxide is used in the manufacturing of paper, so from a practical standpoint, perhaps not. I don’t know what it does to ink, because I’m not a scientist. I do know this, I am not going to do what I consider restoration to a comic, because I personally don’t want restored comics. From my perspective, I’m keeping it simple. Stains and foxing will have to stay on my books.
