Great idea on how to puff up the open side of the book without adding too much stress around the spine side. Nice video.
Thanks for watching
LOVE LOVE LOVE this channel my dude! You've helped me a GREAT deal in my own ventures with my books (plus I've bought some books off of you in Indianapolis over the last few years)
HOLY @#$#$#@$@#!!!!!! 8.5 to 9.4!!!!!!! SOOOO freakin' awesome!!!! and THIS is why I LOVE this hobby. YOU (or I when I do my own work) have "skin in the game" making what you have better, and my guy, you knocked this out of the park!!! WOW.
Thanks! 🙏
Another extremely helpful guide to your process. Excellent work as always. I appreciate your professional delivery and solid information. Nice to see your progression in the group as well.
Thanks!
Awesome. Just plain great ideas. Thans for sharing your techniques. You are becoming one of my favorite channels.
Thanks for watching
Nice technique, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Great description, very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome bump. THanks for the info. Although you did lose the white pages - not a worry with a 9.4! Awesome.
I mean... pressing does not change page quality score... and I personally dont find CGC PQ grades to be particularly accurate. I just opened an "Off white" slab that has a brittle cover and what I would consider cream pages... I have also resubmitted off-white books and gotten white pages w/o doing a whitening...
Great bump!!👏👏
Thanks
I used some of your set up to change up mine some
I use a seal jumbo 160
Great video
Never had a seal
Nice. Always learning something new. Could recommend Squarebound saver by Immaculate comics. Used it on over 20 GS books to great improvement as well. Cheers!
Have not used - no need to buy
This was great. Congrats on the book success!!
Thanks for watching
Congrats! Probably more than doubled the value of an already solid looking book.
Owner was very happy
I really like your video! More info about your hydration process would be cool.

Great content! Thanks for sharing
Welcome
Thank you
You're welcome
I actually have this book and I'm wondering about the indent that occurs on the cover from the stapling. Does pressing get rid of it? It seems like pressing would make it worse. Thanks.
There is always some distortion around the staples due to how it was manufactured
why not use a tack iron first to knock out all the bends and then press.
You can if you want.
What temp? How much time?
30 min at 140
No humidity needed?
Yup. I always humidify before press
I hate the way you open up the inner sleeve to get the comic out! Scary with the scissors! I just use my knife along three edges and create a flap! Safer to extract a comic!
What’s scary about the scissors? You can cut through the comic wit’s them?
You know the bottom of the scissors is dull right?
SCRATCH!
