I wonder that it ought to be real big because it will need to provide the deliveries for the whole Latin America including Brazil which i think will be the biggest market attended by it but also the Mexico itself. Mexico has an ascending economy and make borders with the US so it has an important market, not considering the possible deliveries to USA .

Who say the hatchback only will have two doors?……. Golf and corolla, the best selling hatchbacks in the world 70 mill combined, have 5 doors, and are both a little bit smaller than model 3. I bet that Elon will hit excactly that segment of the market, as no other cartypes, can create a demand exceeding all other models combined.

GigaTexas had a very large water reservoir buried under the central part of the building during construction. I suspect they are recycling significant amounts of water too.

1 millions de véhicules c'est totalement insuffisant !!! Cette usine devrait produire principalement la nouvelle compact , pour la demande importante il faut passer a 3 millions annuel .

If Tesla makes that one small, 2 doors only, and only around 250 miles range, then no regular working person will buy it, and that small Tesla car model will be a total disaster for Tesla.
A car, any car, should be very practical and highly useful in order to sell in high numbers.
The fact that it is electric or not doesn't matter too much to the blue collar worker.
Rich people who buy small impractical and almost useless cars, electric or not, are the ones who don't know the value of money, and buy them to just move around their houses like farts in the wind.

I guess the Model 2 will use sodium ion battery, else it is not possible to sell it at $20,000 - $ 25,000.

not necessarily as a smaller vehicle with a smaller battery pack and single cast body would make the vehicle much cheaper. Especially using the unboxed construction method they demo’d at investor day.

They do not need 15-20 gigafactories. Shanghai and Fremont are about 1M each. Texas and Berlin are going to be 2M, I would guess Mexico at 4M. So, 2-3 more.
