Walked this route Jun23. Weather was glorious all the way. Views up Ingleborogh went on for miles and miles. Back up there Dec 23 - you couldn't see the trig point from the shelter and the rain came in horizontal on howling winds. Still, all goes to make memories.
Despite the weather this is a nice-looking route, and I now realise it leads into the Lakes - even better. Enjoyed the impressive wall-to-wall cobbling in Dent and the beautiful clearing skies between there and Sedbergh.
We all have to make the "call" every now and then but boy was it worth it. Spectacular views of a part of the world that holds a special place in our hearts. Thank you for sharing. Have shared link on twitter
Really enjoyed watching your entire walk. I did the Dales Way in May and got very lucky with glorious weather. I think I’d probably enjoy the Dales High Way even more, as I love being in the fells and the accommodation options look good. Thanks once again for taking the time and effort to share.
Great series as always. What amazing colours when the most clears. Feels like you may have to redo some sections in better weather just to see what you where walking through.
Thanks, must admit this hike has certainly opened my eyes to the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and I’m certain it will feature more on the channel as there is a lot more to explore. Cheers
Obviously, make sure you have all the wet weather gear, and including the under valued ‘gaiters’. Pay as much as you can afford, budget gear will result in budget results and I think more so with wet weather gear compared to any other. Thanks for watching.
Another great series! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Lovely video. And excellent unobtrusive music...especially The Westerlies.
Glad you enjoyed it, especially The Westerlies, they are so unusually good. Cheers
The weather in the middle of the video is so incred!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching.

If you enjoyed the Dales Way then you certainly will enjoy the high way even more I predict. Thanks for sharing your story.
@@AmblingTrails thanks for the reply. It’s a wonderful part of our country and surprisingly quiet in comparison to the Lakes. All the best.
@jonm4989 totally agree, really think it’s undervalued and largely undiscovered, luckily for us!

I hate going over rocky style things when it's raining like that it makes me so nervous! Any tips for wet weather walking?
