Hi Katie Joy, just wanted to say that I appreciate what you do! I'm 57 years old and was sexually abused by my father at a young age and while growing up. God bless you for bringing this into the light, it needs to be heard! 🙏❤️🙏
The Judge's comment about treatment is a test. If the Judge forces Josh into treatment the courts learn nothing. If Josh enrolls in treatment he may or may not be sincere, but...if he does not enroll that's a sure indication he's still not accepting responsibility for his actions. He has 12 years to own his behaviors, enroll in treatment, and do something to make changes.

👩💻Wow, kinda' sounds like when my daughter arrived at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. I didn't hear from her until her first letter with her military address, that was about 3 weeks. Then occasionally we got 5 minute calls on Sundays. During lock down of Fort Jackson the day of 9-11, all civilian telephone communications in or out was banned. My soldier snuck into the Rec Room called us for a 20 seconds call to say she was alright and not to worry. I kept sending her weekly letter but her letters to me were held in abeyance until the nation's security, especially military installations, were completely secure. 17 months later it was Boots on the Ground in Kabul, Afghanistan, plus 5 months of training in Fort Carson, Colorado. It has been my experience that the Feds really know how to lock down and keep things zipped up quiet until things are in place for the Feds. Michelle and JimBob just need to relax and let people do their jobs, Joshie is not their responsibility any more; Josh belongs to the Federal Government now for a very long time. That is a lesson I had to learn with my soldier daughter to keep my sanity, while she was in the Army she belonged to the Federal Government, not me. Much love and peace. 🙋♀️🪔🐞🌠🥰🇺🇲
I used to live in Marion, IL. That federal penitentiary was built as the replacement for Alcatraz. It is definitely a maximum security prison for the worst offenders. I personally feel like he is the worst of the worst due to the content he was downloading. But I doubt he ends up there.
if it were the other way around & ana was found guilty of cp, i doubt joshy would stay with her. he would come out crying in camera saying how shocked he is at her. he would get a girlfriend or two & carry on & file for divorce
I am glad to see that Justice has begun, Josh and his father are very proud men, huge part of their problems. One way or another, I don’t think that he will make it out alive, there are probably more things that will be uncovered. I do find the giddiness that some are expressing over this entire situation to be untoward. There are children on both sides of this issue and none of them deserve any of this…they are children!
I’m curious…why would anyone charged with a crime be allowed to place a request as to where he wants to live out his sentence! Why would he have the right to a choice?
Most inmates get to choose where they will do their stay. Not sure exactly why but many prison channels have brought it up, you’re given 3 choices I believe
It might just be me…probably not…but what an odd right to give a criminal…a choice as to preference of stay!!!! His victims didn’t get a choice? His children didn’t get a choice? He made his choices…now pay up big boy! Put him where the system thinks he should go, not where he desires to go! Soooo messed up🤦🏽♀️
The thing with federal prison too is they move them around a lot so even though his lawyers submitted for a few prisons he still needs to go through intake and will be sent to the best fit based on their assessment and go there.
My father was a SO inmate in a federal penitentiary. It was explained to me that it's not like TV. SO inflates in lower security facilities are among inmates who don't want to blow their shot at getting out themselves. That makes it less likely anyone would physically harm a inmate, thus risking their own release date. In facilities where everyone is awaiting assessments for placements, it's rare for physical altercations because everyone is waiting for what they hope is a good placement to serve their time. I suspect ppl will mess with him (his food, phone times, etc) but I doubt he will face much physical risk if he doesn't push buttons. Edited to add: this was info given to me by officials in the system. I have no information as to if he was harmed or messed with or shunned or befriended or any other possible situation.
Yes you’re 100% correct. My sister was a victim of a crime and this is exactly what we were told as well. When they’re in pods, not cells, they’re not as many physical altercations because they have shorter sentences and want to go home.
@@danachavez1486 I'm very sorry that your sister went through something terrible. Sending her tons of empathy. It's something we carry the rest of our lives. I hope she has had the support to help her psychologically/emotionally. It's a journey.
I think Joshua will be treated very badly in Federal Prison. Even SO have hierarchies and if they think that what Josh did is worse than what they did, he will be “dealt with” as Cousin Amy said. Person I know has had the horrible task of dealing with some of these guys post release and unfortunately most of them never change. They get better at hiding what they do.
I think I’ve said this before and (I’m sorry if I’m repeating myself.) We transfer people this way for safety reasons. There’s so many things that can go wrong. No one is supposed to know any of this information ahead of time, except the people making the decision and the officers doing the transfer. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
Yay! A Saturday video! I love Katie’s videos! Also, is Jim Bob really that influential? Paying someone off to find out when Josh would be transferred? I think that’s giving him a little too much credit, haha!
I don’t think Jim Blob has that kind of clout, either. I also don’t think Jim Blob has any disposable income right now. His net worth is high in real estate and real estate is not a liquid asset. Jim Blob has been paying for Josh’s defense team for three years and there’s no end in sight due to the appeal. He also had to pay Josh’s $50,000+ fine. Josh’s legal bills have to to be at least around a million dollars, if not more. Therefore, I don’t think Jim Blob has any extra cash to pay a bribe.
I'm sure Jim Bob had no way of knowing when he would be transfered. It's posted on the prison computer just hours before the transfer. Thats why they usually transfer in the early morning hhours
Anna just needs to leave Josh. Let him rot in prison for 12 1/2 years. He knew what he was doing when he looked at that CP. He was being unfauthful to Anna by signing up for AshleyMadison. And she still stayed with him?! I would have left his ass after that!!
Colorado doesn't want him either but if it gets him further from his kids and gives Anna a wakeup call, we'll manage. As for Anna moving herself and the kids closer to where he ends up, it might be Jana's best chance to get away from her parents and make a break for having her own life.
My wife works for the state prison in our state. She said that more and likely he would go to a medium Federal prison. A minimal one could not give the protection that some one of his crime could get. So, we will see. My opinion he deserves max. Love your videos.
I would think he would go to a max security prison . Any crime involving a child should be a heinous crime. At least a medium security prison. He deserves the worst.
Josh is going to keep getting bigger if his family continues to put money on his books for commissary. I worked as a correctional officer for two years before becoming a dispatcher and those inmates that just ate the food provided by the facility could maintain a healthy weight (all portions of food are measured for calorie content). Those inmates who ordered the junk food from commissary put on lots of weight. The inmates are not in the rec yard but maybe an hour a day for exercise. If it is cold, snowy, or wet many inmates will choose to skip rec. Some inmates will do pushups and situps in the cells during lockdown. Josh is looking like he is not taking much rec and his family is putting money on his books.
I was just thinking that he’s probably ordering the max amount allowed on commissary. The food in jails and correctional facilities tend to be very high in carbs as well. He’s going to have to work out if he intends to avoid gaining a huge amount of weight.
I can see him getting really big. But I dont agree that they only get an hour at rec a day. They can spend alot of hours at rec but have to return to their pod for count time or any other movement that happens. But I dont see Josh going to rec much either. I think he's more on the lazy side.
He's there to serve time for his crimes. It's not up to the other inmates to serve the ultimate punishment. It creates a huge mess when something like that happens, plus they don't get the full funding for his care there due to being cut short.
@@rld1278 so is everyone else in prison and they don't go out of their way to protect and separate them. They're thrown to the wolves. Protecting only a select group of people shouldn't be permitted.
@Robin Dartt is straight on the the facts. The prison is there to make sure SO’s serve their sentence. They have a responsibility to keep SO’s from undue harm.

@@carol-annesomerville7880 unfortunately, I think you’re right. I just saw something saying he still says he’s innocent. His wife and parents are also trying to convince people he is a good man and shouldn’t be in jail.
As an ex Correctional officer, Wardens can punish inmates through visitation or commissary denial & other things. On the flip side, they can also "grant" or speedup the visitation process for inmates. They hold the key to how quickly visits can occur after new arrivals come. Josh will most likely be classified as "low security". His behavior before trial factors in; but so does any bad behaviors he has shown since being in custody. If he caused problems, they can (& usually do) raise your class level. Lower level == more privileges.
Wow. Just wow. That suit doesn't even fit him anymore. And it's been just a few months. I guess what comes around, goes around. Welcome to your consequences Joshy. Have a great weekend Katie. I'm doing a shot to this lovely video. Haha
Um...if Anna is road tripping and left her kids with Jim Bob and Michelle and now Jim Bob, Michelle, and Jana are all out of state at this wedding, who is watching Josh and Anna's kids?
I feel that with some of the stuff I have said before on Anna possibly trying to follow Josh to wherever he ends up and Jim Bob trying to do what he does best to know where Josh will be was really some random thoughts I had that were based on Jim Bob's and Anna's actions. And, after watching today's video, it feels pretty clear that the Federal Bureau of Prisons are not going to bend the rules for anyone no matter who they are. And, that is probably why Michelle looks upset and Jim Bob looks pissed off right now for they most likely tried very hard with no success to find out where Josh was going to go and the fact they failed does not sit well for them. Personally, even though Josh more than deserves to be put into general population, even though he would not last a week, a max security facility may be the best for him to go to, even if it means he goes to the max security facility in Illinois. I guess we will all find out soon enough.... Katie Joy, as always you have been awesome with sharing the truth on the Duggars and thank you for explaining the stuff on the federal prison system very well. And, thanks for showing that video of Josh in shackles here on RUclips also.
Thanks for keeping us updated, Katie! I enjoy your videos immensely! Seeing Josh all fat and miserable makes me feel that justice has indeed been served! 👍😊
The saddest thing about this is that Anna and his family will receive him with open arms once he comes out. They are ALL despicable, with the exception of Jill and maybe Jinger
I worked with someone whose son was an SO. They generally group the SO's together for safety. According to the SO's mom this just gives them an opportunity to learn new ways of avoiding capture. Her son severed 13 years for child p and got caught with child p less than 2 months of getting out. Evidently, he did not learn and was returned to the same prison.
Federal prison wear is khaki button-up shirts and slacks with white undershirts. They are issued 3 uniforms (shirt/pants), and their names and prisoner number are embroidered on the shirt. The undershirts have to be purchased in the commissary, as do the socks and shoes. Family can't send socks, shirts, underwear, etc. Everybody has to get stuff at the commissary. They keep record of what you've bought so when they do inspections they know how many items you've paid for. If you're found with more than you've purchased, you end up in the SHU, (Special Handling Unit), or in Solitary for a certain length of time. My daughter was in for about 3 years, and one time someone who was leaving gave her their white undershirts because she didn't have any yet. Commissary was only once a week and she went in the day after her dorm's commissary day. She got caught with the undershirts the next day and spent 2 months in the SHU which was as close to Solitary as possible. It was her rude awakening about the importance of following rules or live the consequences. The random strip searches with cavity searches were the worst part of prison for her. They didn't search visitors, but prisoners were subject to strip/cavity searches following visitation in case someone brought contraband in for a prisoner. Visiting her was daunting. My husband and I were still working, and she was 5 hours away from us. Visitation was Saturday and Sunday. We would have to drive after work on Friday, stay in a motel for two nights, visit all day Saturday and only 1/2 day Sunday so we could drive back home and get up for work on Monday. My parents were in ill health so we had to take care of them, and I had several responsibilities at church on Sundays. We couldn't visit very often - maybe once every three or four months. That's why we'd visit both days. It was a long, dark time! Phone calls were unbelievably expensive. She also had access to email only. And only a small amount of time each week. We had to send money separately for phone, email, and commissary. We couldn't afford more than one 15 minute call each week. Phone automatically cut off after the time ran out. We emailed once a week. She didn't get all the time and money she wanted, but it kept us in touch. We couldn't call her, we had to wait for her to call us. I believe the Duggars are going to be shocked at the cost and the rules in federal penitentiary. I hope Josh is as far away from home as possible, and that his contact is very limited. That's the only way he will sit and think about why he's there. Too much contact is too much like being out with family. There's a cap on the amount of money a prisoner can have in their account so there's not such a huge gap in how much rich/poor prisoners can purchase. County jail is a vacation compared to where he's going. Sometimes they are transported by prison buses; but sometimes they are flown on prison planes depending on how many prisoners there are to transport and how far they need to go. Con Air is a real thing. My daughter gained a lot of weight from all the carbs she was fed by the cafeteria. She didn't have money to buy junk at the commissary.
I think the 'bestie' she referred to could have been her sister. I also believe that she would absolutely live near her and would have support with the kids while she went to visit Josh...
Thanks for the info. Perv boy is hefty. Guess he is trying to not look like such a baby faced kid which will help him when he arrives at Bubba's home. He is in for a rude awakening. Too bad he didn't get more time. He will never change.
I believe he needs to be in a facility that has strict rules and not as relaxed as Texarkana from comments I read on your last video. I hope it’s Colorado so he’s further away from his family and harder for them to visit. Was Anna able to see him prior to his transfer?
👩💻Great pic seeing him lined up with the rest of the convicts for travel to their new homes. The bracelets adds a nice touch to his business suit.🤣😆😅Much love and peace.🙋♀️🪔🐞🌠🥰🇺🇲
Long ago I used to work in a dentention facility ( local jail) when we had persons sentenced to prison some inmates first went to a 90 stay within a prison to get a feel for prison , to see if there are any negative contact or threats from other inmates, for another more intense psych eval to see how they were going to handle prison, and which prison best suits their needs. Inmates can also go to one place for a short time to until a space opens up at another facility especially if he gets threats from other inmates. Most prisons will have areas that are set up like dorms or dayrooms with their own cells with inmates who have the same type of charges.

@@cynthiaevery2801 hey I am married to a narcissist and they are very hard to live with. You can tell Josh is one just by looking at him. I honestly don't think a narcissist can change. But I just give back what is dished out and speak my mind which will make hubby calm down for a bit but no real change happens. What is funny is those outside of this house think he is wonderful. Guess that is the difference between woke and not.
Well considering there are mass amounts of children, grandchildren and soon to come great grands (mackenzie is 13, theyll have her popping out babies in 5 years) I Thank God they were famous and somebody called Oprah cuz JB and Michelle would have done nothing and he'd have hurt so many children. I can guarantee there are victims we havent heard about. If being famous got him busted then to God be the Glory for that.
I think JBs only regret is getting caught in a web of lies, and Josh in a way. Not regretting having him, per say, but allowing it to get this far in the public eye.
Hi Katie Joy, just wanted to say that I appreciate what you do! I'm 57 years old and was sexually abused by my father at a young age and while growing up. The Judge's comment about treatment is a test. If the Judge forces Josh into treatment the courts learn nothing. If Josh enrolls in treatment he may or may not be sincere, but...if he does not enroll that's a sure indication he's still not accepting responsibility for his actions. YAY Katie video on a Saturday. 4:08am now that is a wake up call.
I think it’s due to his kids. They chose two options closer by so the kids could visit. Although, will Anna really bring the kids to prison?
It might just be me…probably not…but what an odd right to give a criminal…a choice as to preference of stay!!!! His victims didn’t get a choice? His children didn’t get a choice? He made his choices…now pay up big boy! Put him where the system thinks he should go, not where he desires to go! Soooo messed up🤦🏽♀️
@@Inkd_Raven_Tarot I hope not . It's not a good place to the your children and considering the time he got it doesn't seem like a good idea.
The thing with federal prison too is they move them around a lot so even though his lawyers submitted for a few prisons he still needs to go through intake and will be sent to the best fit based on their assessment and go there.
Thanks for posting on a Saturday for us! I know it’s a day off for you and I certainly appreciate you covering this today!
Thank you for being so brave in sharing what is probably a difficult part of your life story here. Very brave of you indeed.
Yes you’re 100% correct. My sister was a victim of a crime and this is exactly what we were told as well. When they’re in pods, not cells, they’re not as many physical altercations because they have shorter sentences and want to go home.
Josh should not be treated any differently than any other prisoners that are there. He would deserve anything he would get while he was there!

I heard it was going to be a low security prison since he is not a risk and not having any prior offenses.
I would think he would go to a max security prison . Any crime involving a child should be a heinous crime. At least a medium security prison. He deserves the worst.

I’m so happy that Josh is finally getting what he deserves. People like this should be put away forever in my opinion but at least it’s something.

Lower level == more privileges.

Thanks for the Saturday video. I'm over the moon when this family worried. Maybe now he will feel bad about his actions.
I wonder, with every step he takes towards his new life, has he even once thought of his victims?
I worked with someone whose son was an SO. They generally group the SO's together for safety. According to the SO's mom this just gives them an opportunity to learn new ways of avoiding capture. Her son severed 13 years for child p and got caught with child p less than 2 months of getting out. Evidently, he did not learn and was returned to the same prison.
All three of those prisoners were wearing their own clothes? Isn’t there a federal prison jumpsuit?
They don’t transfer inmates in street clothes in case of escape attempt. This looks more like a court appearance. Even in Arkansas

Long ago I used to work in a dentention facility ( local jail) when we had persons sentenced to prison some inmates first went to a 90 stay within a prison to get a feel for prison , to see if there are any negative contact or threats from other inmates, for another more intense psych eval to see how they were going to handle prison, and which prison best suits their needs. Inmates can also go to one place for a short time to until a space opens up at another facility especially if he gets threats from other inmates. Most prisons will have areas that are set up like dorms or dayrooms with their own cells with inmates who have the same type of charges.
