watched this vid like 10 times, went to class, pulled it off. thanks for the upload!
what a gem of a video dude. i dnt even care about the sub or lasso guard so much... great details and concepts within the first 1 1/2 mins that can be applied to other guard play... great share!! glad stumbled upon it. #oss Mitch Coats
Beautiful stuff. Clear, concise, practical.
Wow, thank you for all those details!! Subscribed.
Slick. A few details I needed - thanks.
That's one dirty submission. I mean dirty cause it's so sneaky and underhanded, no one would see that coming. You throw that leg for the lasso guard, most people are gonna see a triangle coming and lift their head back, giving you the perfect arm. That's awesome.
Those were fantastic! Thank you!
that Omoplata Sweep man was bugging me for some time....couldnt find a detailed video....thnx man for the vid...cleared up lots of details!!
Hi Mitch, great video, thank you very much !! i will test it out in the dojo tonight, greetings from austria ! cheers, yves

Sorry for the late response. Once you bridge onto your shoulder, don't hesitate to pull under. Also, when you go inverted, make sure you are only rolling on the back of your neck, your shoulder and high back should not really touch the ground. Solution: Keep your torso stiff, then invert out in front of him, not close/underneath him. Best of luck!
Hello coach Mitch, I like your video here of explanation about the omoplata sweep very helpful. I wish you were teaching I'd go to your academy. You remind me of my instructor here with grip control. He is the same way. Anyway thank you for your videos, very helpful.
very awesome detail. Alliance always at it's best!
Your instruction is excellent, thank you for sharing!

Is it IBJJF legal to have the thumbs in when using a pistol grip?
wow! thank you very much for sharing the video (Y)
Oss ...very well coach
@roel van...are you grabbing the pant leg with your right hand before going inverted? If you get a good grip, you can push for distance with it as well.
Great vid, been trying this a lot....but the problem is they keep locking up my head between their legs as I go inverted...from there i just get passed everytime. Got any tips?
Your patch is the japan pattern of war crimes
Need change patch
ok
why would you EVER put your foot on his shoulder?!!
+Kathy O'Brien If you're talking about the lasso leg, it is to get that lasso nice and deep to prevent ankle locks, give you more control, and make the lasso guard harder to pass. If you are talking about the other foot, you can keep it on the hip to create distance, or you can put it on the shoulder to also create distance. The hip is probably safer, but if you opponent doesn't control you leg when the foot is on the shoulder, you can shoot your foot over the shoulder for the triangle (right foot shoots over shoulder, lasso leg shoots under).
Hi Mitch, great video, thank you very much !! i will test it out in the dojo tonight, greetings from austria ! cheers, yves
