Beautiful Wendy - very 3-d with the bokeh - love it. Thank you 🙏

Purely lovely, thank you. I do adore these first little pops of flowers when they arrive in our gardens, before the bunnies devour them. First time I’ve found your page, but I’ve subscribed so I can follow you from here in Wisconsin, USA. We lived in Devon for 3 years many years ago and I do love hearing a lovely English accent again. Again, thank you for sharing your talents. 🥰

I haven't seen better snowdrops than yours in youtube, although they are quite a popular subject! I will definitely try this technique! Wish you lots of inspiration and thank you for sharing your knowledge, skills and art with us!

Bravo, absolutely stunning! I’m definitely going to try this. I’m going to have to hire someone to clean and cook for us so I can stay in the studio all day! 😅

I quite enjoyed seeing you practice. When you only see polished, perfect paintings, it sometimes feels too hard to do.

Ahh that’s so nice Wendy. I think maybe the bokeh effect is a bit of a challenge for me but it was lovely watching you create a beautiful painting 🙏❤️

Thank you for this lesson! My first lesson attempting bokeh in art turned mixed media in a flash because of my ineptness with masking fluid. How can I show you the picture?

Hello! Enjoyed watching your demonstration on bokeh today and noticed you used the same brush you used on your demonstration of the dry brush technique and painting trees. I checked your list of supplies used and didn't see that brush on Amazon or Jackson's Art. I was wondering if you cut the pointed end from a pointed round brush and made your own style brush to use for these techniques? I tried using some of my pointed rounds and didn't quite get the same-ish texture for my tree leaves. Could you please share the brand or name of the red handled brush you used? Thank you very much for your help and wonderful demonstration!!

Thank you so much for your feedback. I am pretty certain it is a Windsor and Newton sceptre gold mixed synthetic and sable brush. My brushes are so old the writing on them has worn away 😀 There is a link to materials in the description box.

Hello Wendy....your painting is simply beautiful and your explanation of the various stages, most informative and easy to understand....I will look forward to giving this one a go, using the bokeh effect in the background. I just love how the light diffuses through, leaving the snow drops, centre stage in all their glory. Thank you for showing us how it is done. God bless and have a lovely day.

I really do like the Bokeh effect I use it myself at times but what I find when using masking fluid is that it always tears the paper and I've tried many different brands and eventually stopped using it. I use 100% good quality cotton 300gsm CP paper so it can't be that. How does it work for you?

Hi….check out my materials list in the description box for the masking fluid I use….it works really well 🙂
