Kind of wanted that Aang vs Jet fight I think he is one of the better nonbending fighters in the show. By this time Aang has learned to water bend in the animated series he hasnt done any of that yet. In the show we didnt see Jet in Omashu he was actually outside of an earth kingdom town being run by the fire nation. We get ozais angels early with ty lee and mai. This Zuko and Aang fight was the best. I am very impressed with what Dallas did.
Disclaimer: don’t forget AZULA was only 14 in the cartoon. Most people even thought that she was older than Zuko😭
Plus, Azula was voiced by an adult woman so this is realistic. She has always been pretty/beautiful it was just her behaviour that made her seem older and menacing.
Don’t worry guys her acting will effectively contrast with her “cute face”😂

We get jet early. But here we dont have Aang looking up to him or admiring him only for them to fight later and Sokka doesnt really interact with him because he is with the Mechanist.
Fun fact 11:22, Dante Basco the guy who voiced Zuko in the og animated show played Rufio in Hook. Idk if she was mentioning Rufio when she was talking about Jet and his freedom fighters.
We get ozai and Azula really early in this something we had to wait for in the animated series. Yeah they aint see a lot of folks until they were going to Ba Sing Se. Also Zhao wasnt at Kyoshi island it was only Zuko and his warriors. Kyoshi didnt overshadow Aang until they was about to get boiled in oil. Roku over shadowed Aang first when they were at the Fire Sage temple. It’s crazy how theyswitch things up and we can still know where we are in the story. Nice touch.

It’s not a Remake of the og series it’s an Netflix Adaptation meaning it’s not gonna structure like the animated series… so the writing will be different and interesting like the best way to enjoy it is to not compare it to the og series
Remember azula was only 14 you cant really find a 14 year old with sharp features
and there are still people who believe they could've casted a 14 year old with sharp features LOLLL. azula in the animated series doesn't look like a teenager, and her voice actress isn't also, so it makes sense for the la to be like this.
My little sister's reaction when she saw Jett was a bit disbelieving because the actor Jett was quite handsome😂

In the cartoon, Jet was introduced early in szn 1 just in some RANDOM ASS forest near a small village😂
Maybe that's why you cant recal properly especially when its not fesh in your mind.
So I Think placing them in a different location was better. That's the thing with Live adaptations, we usually overthink about where what was; and when what happened in the cartoon too much, that we miss the point/beauty of the overall story.
Also, most fans can attest and say the Northern Air temple episode is one of the weakest. 😂 Like nobody likes it and its not that memorable.
They could have easily left it out but placing it with JET makes sense cause Jet hates firebenders and traitors (like the mechanist)! And OMASHU is indeed a HUB.

This is gonna be a regular thing with the show going forward. Obviously they had to make changes and leave out some things for budget reasons but the pacing is all over the place. Certain times its like im speed running the plot other times its like why is this going so sloww. They try to cram wayy too much random stuff into episodes and even weirder is they are cramming in stuff from way later seasons which makes me wonder what the hell they gonna replace those story lines with. I think by time this show is over its not gonna go anything like the og
