Can't wait to see what happens in the next episode of "Anime girl forgets to turn on her flashlight for a solid hour"
The way she perked up hearing an npc say “Saplings”
The entire first half was Fauna being the kid that gets emotionally scarred from ball pits because they can't figure out how to crawl out, lol.
Oddly specific and oddly relatabe. 🤣
Last episode she navigated Dark Bramble correctly without a ship and found Feldspar, this episode she loses to the Attlerock. You never know what to expect going into these episodes. I’m just glad she’s having fun!
Struggles on beginner planet, excels at spooky horror subnautica planet. Whats next?
fauna has a jetpack, a flashlight, and a probe launcher but theres only enough room on the mental stack for 2 of the 3. i love this playthrough
Like a true druid she can remember only two spells for respite
don't forget that the probe launcher doubles as a camera and waypoint, as well as a stability checker on planets where that's relevant.
And that's not even getting into what that camera can be used for.
As expected of an egg viewer
now the DnD spell slots make actual sense...
THE MENTAL STACK, I never thought I would read about faunas mental stack
Shoutout to "Chekov's Sun", the most understated and under-rated joke in this entire playthrough so far.
Truly underrated
Stuck in crater, forgets about jetpack, realizes later that she could have used the jetpack, gets stuck in the crater again and doesn't use the jetpack
I wonder what the jump button did to her. she hates it so much
I think she got traumatized from getting escape velocity and nearly flying off into the void.
Fauna really say "it was revealed to me in a dream" These first filler ep are funny but very interesting so far
She can't get away from spoilers even in her dream
Outer Wilds really likes to invade people's dreams. Vesper had the same experience. Nobody had clipped it so I went back and did it.
@@OccasionalClipUploads Wth even Gramps too?
The fact that fauna remembered the jetpack the second time in the crater but just kinda only used it to go sideways was so funny
She wanted to go up, but she could only go forward into the wall. It was hilarious
Im glad this letsplay has introduced us to Ceres "2/3" Fauna, given how she can only remeber 2 out of 3 tools at any one time
It’s such a classic Outer Wilds early game experience to land on a random part of the planet and then walk to where you want to go, rather than just flying there in the first place.
The way she keeps missing stuff that's right in front of her, sometimes while literally reading about it is too good. I wonder how the rest of the playthrough will go like this
Her reading about the quantum moon while it was literally right there was pretty funny
@@davidsphere43 The way it even crawls out for her at the end as she's taking off with the ship at 58:30 and she just gets off the seat and it's gone lol
Completely ignoring White Hole Station despite it taking up half her screen in order to fly closer to the sun absolutely sent me.
@@masterplusmargarita It's actually amazing to me how often that happens. The devs did everything they could within their game design power to make it noticeable and clearly important beyond just saying it outright, yet more than half the players I've seen just pass right by it like it isn't even there.
@@thewizardninja Fauna has ADHD confirmed
Kirin confirmed to be a moth. Cant help but stare at blindingly bright objects
Day 2 Fauna: Finds Feldspar on the second day insanely quick in an absurdly confusing planet.
Day 3 Fauna: I can't get out of this crater on a moon with no gravity.
Feel like I get to experience the wonder all over again. Such a great game, I hope you enjoyed too.
Fauna death counter
Supernova: 2
Gravity: 1
Lack of oxygen: 1
(Spoiler): 1
Is the (spoiler) one counting what happened at 48:34? If so I don't think you need to count that as a death at all.
@@errorcode377honestly I’d put that as another supernova death
I'm excited that you're keeping up with this. You're doing us a great service. Keep it up, cadet! o7
::)
@@trentonpham1159Hmm... I guess, but technically [redacted].
@@trentonpham1159 The supernova was the cause for the reset, but the reset was triggered before they died
I miss let's plays... They lack interaction with chat but let's in this case Fauna really immerse herself without having to worry about chat or getting this spoiled etc. They are a much more intimate and personal experience, and I am happy I get at least one with Fauna(in a non-creepy or parasocial way).
Absolutely, the vibes in this playthrough are immaculate, even with (or because) of all the bumbling. It's a pure, unspoiled (mostly) experience. I feel like story-heavy games especially benefit from this isolation from a chat, whereas more mechanically intense experiences can benefit the streamer and viewer by uh, giving some friendly tips or reacting to emergent events.
I wonder if future past Fauna will remember she has a flashlight and a jetpack
I sure wish future fauna doesn’t completely refuse to press the jump/boost up button, admittedly painful seeing that
its so cool seeing her to stuff by herself, i havent watched a lets play in like 10 years and apparently ive missed it
Wow, Fauna keeps managing to impress with how much ground she covers, despite the threat of death constantly lurking behind her.Very excited to see her get to the real Quantum Shenanigans
Watching her try to land on the sun station should be pretty funny
Ideally she won’t need to land on the Sun station and instead takes the normal approach of teleporting there. We’ll have to see what she does though
@@Medluwu I didn't know that was a thing I kept crashing into the sun trying to land on it lol
I half expect her to crash into the station with the ship exploding while she gets thrown straight through the entrance gap.
The Ame special!
Post-premiere:
Well I was right about the panik noises in this one but not exactly for the reasons I was expecting
Amazing to see how much of her space knowledge she gets to show in this one and how much she struggles with physics Those pesky craters
We're getting in real deep now! In the moon crater that is jk
now that dream of yours is insane! Seems quite plausible for what's happening in game.
Thanks again for the LP, Fauna!
From last episode where she effortlessly goes through the spookiest and most dangerous planet to this one where she dies stuck in a crater because she forgot how to boost. Sasuga Kirin.
I've never really watched any VTubers, except for some occasional clip videos. I first saw them around '21, briefly after the Council debut, which had them be heavily featured and I remembered Fauna's vibes resonating the most with me. Pair that with the somewhat recent Library of Letourneau crossover clips and for the last few months I've been watching a little, occasionally. As of late I've been dealing with a very large amount of stress and a little bit more anxiety than usual and while scrolling around RUclips today came across some Fauna clips and felt like "huh, these are hitting a spot today". Then I remembered that I saw an Outer Wilds playthrough on the channel before, but didn't have any particular interest or need at the time to watch hours of it. Today I did feel inclined to start watching and I'm very glad I did. I feel like ( -I'm worried that- ) I'm gonna bingewatch the entirety of this for the next 3 days for comfort, because I am amazed with how much of that the first 3 hours have given me. So really all I wanted to say, in case she'll read this one day: Thank you, Fauna, I appreciate this playthrough very much, it is very comforting and fun to watch! Hope you have a good day! 𝅘𝅥𝅮
I have been having a lot of fun watching these Fauna! Thanks for doing this and I hope you had a lovely day yesterday!
Fauna reading about the Quantum Moon while it peaks from above. That's why I love this game, and also why I love That's it all been prerecorded.
Thanks for the video! It's been very fun so far!
Spaghettified Kirin, that's my favourite kind! These quantum mysteries are just as puzzling to me as they were to past Fauna. It is a recompense knowing the episodes are daily because we are getting some cliffhangers every time
I'm really enjoying your let's play! And crazy the sun exploding came to you in a dream.
Excited for tomorrow's episode
I didn't realize the platform you are on could fall into the black hole glad we could illuminate upon the mystery of the sun with your spoilering dreams Seeing Fauna discover the fun in exploration is a delight. Thanks for the prerecorded stream!
The crater is the real baby pit and Fauna not big fan of the moon had me going . But yes, piloting is a bit of a doozy but it definitely took time for me get used to. Thanks for episode 3, Past Fauna! Good progress on Brittle Hollow!
Based on the sudden progression in the last episode I can't believe that this is a 21 episode series. I'm excited and horrified to find out why
(Edit: I'm starting to get the picture )
15 episodes of trying to land on the sun station
we are swinging from "I wonder why she will take 21 episodes to finish this game" to "omg how in the world will she finish this game in 21 episodes"
@@Azaealsounds about right
Environmental storytelling
She probably did the DLC too which depending on how thorough you are can be quite long too.
Didn't expect an Attlerock Crater arc
Thanks meteors for providing all the fun little jumpscares 🙏
I'm glad you like Brittle Hollow, I do too!
I wonder how long it's going to take for Fauna to forget her spacesuit after a landing. Happens to the best of us.
Fun fact! Nearly all of the Hearthians have hands with three digits (two fingers and a thumb or some equivalent). However, Riebeck is the only one we find that has four digits per hand. Must be helpful for playing the banjo!
Another Hearthian fact: All of them aside from the player are named after different kinds of rock. Really goes with the earthy feel the species has. We the player are known as "The Hatchling" so I guess more of an honorary KFP employee than a Pebble.
What we may or may not see with Fauna: The ship has an eject button in the cockpit. You need to look to the right while sitting in the pilot's seat and there will be a covered button. First action is to uncover the button and the next launches the cockpit forward, away from the hull. Can it be useful? Who knows?! Is it funny? Always.
Funfact, in at least Italian and French the player is named Pebble!
I'm loving this series, I can't wait for the next episode! Happy Fauna, happy saplings!!
I loved the adventures on the moon it sure is weird that so many of these edited out moments stayed in the episode. This was a lot of fun thank you!
This actually might be one of my favourite Christmas gifts. I'm loving this steady series upload so much
When Fauna said "black hole", she meant the crater she couldn't escape from.
It was definitely black since past Fauna always forgot her flashlight.
Expected this one to be fun since it was the first episode after a week or so break and it did not disappoint lol! Thanks for another entertaining episode Fauna! Looking forward to the next one!
19:54 That "Chekhov´s Sun" pun was entirely uncalled for
Reading Sci-Fi? Always great to hear :D
Will be an experience to follow you on your playthrough. Or catch up the better term? It already happened xD
(And it was a wise choice)
One of the books she mentions liking is 3 body problem 👀I've never read it before but if you love sci-fi you probably have!
@@doctordd-ey indeed I did :) and thanks for confirming my guess, when she made the joke regarding the volcanic moon.
A really great and thought provoking series, although with some flaws which makes it for some off-putting.
Thank you for episode 3 Fauna! Lots of interesting discoveries in this one, I'm personally looking forward to finding out which episode you figure out how to land your ship
19:48 "chekhov's sun" that's genius
I love how she breezed through Dark Bramble last time and now got herself got by the Attlerock. Same when she figures stuff out with minimal information but also forgets about basic equipment or doesn't see what's right in front of her (though tbf, you're not really supposed to understand everything until you do understand everything). The duality of Fauna is what I live for at this point.
The thumbnail really did encapsulate how you were this episode.
So much panic
I like that the solutions are literally coming to her in dreams lol
So we've discovered Nomai ruins, found out about a Quantum Moon, and discovered a warp between a black hole and a white hole. One thing I did find interesting is that there seems to be a signal coming from the sun itself. No idea what it could mean yet, but it's interesting.
Really getting into this, seems like Fauna it too! This playthrough has been really fun so far, though these cliffhangers are becoming brutal lol
Loving this series
That sheer panic of floating endlessly out on space with just a jetpack and a tank of oxygen once you see the ground going farther and farther is just oh so relatable, lmao. Playing this makes me sweat so much from nervousness even with the AC on.
Oh now I see why the title saids Black hole also the fact that Fauna's dream pretty much foreshadows this episode looking for episode 4 got in store tomorrow!
I don't think I'll ever get used to the cold open/close of this format, but it's still great fun to watch Fauna put the pieces together in the way she does
I'm honestly surprised going through the black hole like that didn't result in getting crushed. Happened to me every time
I wonder if she'll ever master piloting and landing that ship in the coming episodes.
Wdym? She already piloting and landing better than a lot of other streamers I saw. Although she makes a lot of panic noises, she's doing great for a beginner.
@@takonaegi2967Agreed! Flying and maneuvering takes some getting used to, and she's doing great!
As someone coming in from ksp and elite dangerous… i really wonder
From finding Feldspar episode 2 to dying in a crater like a confused bug in a bathtub episode 3. This is beautiful lmao.
Edit: And she found Reibeck, confirmed the supernova from out of its range, and poked some quantum stuff! Gaming Kirin continues to game. Interesting how she's already found two people but done little actual archeology. Already a great playthrough.
Another great episode! Looking forward to tomorrow now!
Attlerock 1, Fauna 0
Got our first tastes of exploration on Attlerock and Brittle Hollow, discovered the black hole. Starting to gain her bearings in the solar system. Til tomorrow!
I already know I'm gonna keep coming back to this letsplay series. Mom is just too comfy when playing games.
I wish I was as cool as Fauna to have dreams about supernovae.
“I will communicate with you via the morphogenetic field!”
I love this woman.
"Temporally" separated.
She's so erudite!
Every time a new realization dawns on you, it puts a big smile on my face
"So that's why no one visits him. Because this moon SUCKS!" - Deserved full on laughter from me
Just beat the game so I am getting caught up. Amazing episode Faunas so smart and is in the right places at the right time . The fauna noises this episode were also a blessing.
This is such a nice format for this game!
Last episode proved to me how amazing this series is gonna be, can’t wait to see where this one goes
Loving these thumbnails too by the way
56:30 At the very end, when she's reading about the shy moon and it pops its face over the wall of the ruins. Very cool moment!
Thanks for the nice part 3 of Past Fauna's Adventures of Outer Wilds, Fauna.
56:36 LMAO
oh my god i didn't realize when i first watched it that's amazing
Ok to be fair she probably thought its one of the other planets orbiting the inevitable time bomb, cuz its a plain looking feller that ghost moon is
This series is making getting home from work even better than before!
I somtimes forget just how truly brilliant and intelligent you are Fauna, but please don't ever try for your pilots license
These are excellent and comfy content.
Thanks for another episode! Cant beleive how fast you are exploring things, I wonder how spaced out the 21 episodes are lore wise. Really looking forward to the rest of the series!
In today's episode of Fauna Plays Outer Wilds, Fauna has a fight with several craters, slanders the moon in the process, and quickly apologizes to it. Meanwhile she discovers two Hearthians, one lonely and one clumsy, and some pretty wicked ruins of a hanging city. Last but certainly not least, she discovers what it means to fall into a black hole AND gets to see first hand what a supernova looks like! Overall, a rather eventful episode if I do say so myself.
This one was really neat - and crazy. I expected you'd be dead when you went in the black hole but I guess not! I love how we've gotten mutliple things to check out from one stop; also happy to say my "spoiler shield" of using an extension that I use to filter for translator's comments works well here.
Proud of her going from "forgetting that upward thrust exists" to jetpacking like a pro. Green woman GAMING.
So many enjoyable moments here. First one is how she struggle on the moon of her homeworld, it was so funny but it has to be soooooo frustrating to die just before the end of the loop, lmao.🤣
After there were a big jumpscare, a beautiful view when we were lost in space and somekind of a poetic moment when Fauna read about something without noticing that it was passing before her eyes at that exact moment.🥰
Oh I forgot about how many cutes noises we were able to heard thanks to a certain planet.😅
And yeah, that cliffhanger will not work on me : I’m behind on the episodes so I can watch the next one right now, nyark nyark. 😈
Thanks for the stream, Fauna! It's such a rollercoaster to see you miss some things right in front of you, but also very quickly draw the right conclusions about things!
Having lots of fun--agh, can't wait til tomorrow!
"no one comes to visit him because the moon sucks" is probably my favorite thing i've ever heard someone say in reaction to this game
Wow, Past Fauna is really nailing it with these uploads!
Great episode as usual, loving this series so far!
Staring at the sun you say? Sure, I'd love some photosynthesis.
I was so convinced it was a meteor/comet strike, but you were right Brilliant dream insight, reminds me of the writings of Win Wenger
So many cute kirin noises and a gasp for every new interesting thing that pops up
I have a feelings you didn't edit any of it out Thank you Fauna, as usual you're thinking of the content over your own embarrassment
The way she perks up at the mention of saplings
Another control issue bested, and many more discoveries! I have a feeling she will be blasting through the game ❤️
Seeing the title of this episode and knowing about the game I predict a lot of Kirin noises today
(edit after watching)
44:00 Yep, that is exactly what I had in mind, don't worry, it happens a lot
Fauna having problems with gravity sounds like it will really common in the lets play in general and not only this episode
8:42 Remember: don't look at the sun directly if you like to be an eyes user
Poor Esker, all alone there for who knows how much time (always felt guity of not visiting him again after talking with him for the first time)
Riebeck my belovedas you said, its really relatable
Brittle Hollow can be a bit of a pain to explore, you can notice the why of that right there in the center of the planet and, as you said, technically isn't a black hole, its a wormhole since you teleport to a different location, glad that you dont become a cosmic spaghetti after going through it
Now I'm excited to see in what order past Fauna will solve the next few mysteries. Going by the title it'll surely be a fun time.
"For me I can continue immediately, but you will ave to wait"
Luaghs in binge-watching superiority.
Nothing like Faune squeaking and pleading while producing constant GMod ragdolling sound effects as she travels the solar system.
Another fun and comfy 1 hour of The Outer Wilds with Fauna! That what looked like a white hole was interesting. Also, who let Fauna take hold of the Jetpack? Anyways, episode 3 and still having a "Wild" time and only 17 episodes to go yet. Thanks for the episode Fauna!
44:10 is the moment where it all truly begins, one of the most compelling sequences of psychological torment ever inflicted on a chat stream in recorded history...
I had the same exact view for my first loop. Fell into the black hole, the song started and it was a beautiful end You falling into the black hole was perfect though. It could have only been made better if you traveled with the shard you were on and got to explore, but still really neat
Absolutely amazing how you managed to have the quantum moon in view _right_ as you were reading about it on Brittle Hallow too. I wonder how many times it's been in view but not noticed
I am absolutely loving these thumbnails This one sums up the past two parts perfectly, lets see if we can make it 3
Waiting for the day's episode from my favorite Let's Player. It's like I've gone back in time ten years.
I hope you are enjoyed the game and did record for us while talking alone.
Otsu Fauna
Thank you for the series
the fact the quantum moon shows up while fauna is reading about the quantum moon @56 is so funny
Man i love the thumbnail art for these
It was cool you were able to make it to Feldspar before the loop began again and I'm excited to see what you do in this episode
I love this series so much
Fauna my favorite LPer
From forgetting about the jetpack to master of the skies ( with slightly sore ankles)
I'm enjoying your commentary. It's thoughtful yet funny.
Dark Bramble seems like some kind parasite. The planet destroyed, was it the home world of the Nomai? And a super nova, did someone cause it to try and stop Dark Bramble? Seems like an extreme response, but if it's a galactic scale eco system, perhaps it's akin to burning out an infestation in a forest? Maybe the Nomai are responsible?
What a huge difference of scenery wtf . Even more looking forward to next time!
I like how Fauna was set on going to the Giant's Deep first, and we are at the end of episode 3 already, and she got completely sidetracked.
Isn't that how you play outer wilds normally 😋
That black hole travel gave us all a great view of the end. Just beautiful
I'm so happy you are playing this game fauna and I hope you enjoy your break.
Why fauna is so cute and adorable?
lol about the word "spaghettified"
Fauna's knowledge of SF is so plenty and nice, I haven't read "three body" yet but I will try if fauna recommend to read〜!
I love past Fauna!
