How are they conflating drag with trans? Most drag artists are gay men who like dressing up as outrageous women, there are exceptions (obviously) such as Dame Edna who was a comedy drag act by a married man but then you have Izzard who will be whatever he can to remain in the spotlight.
Because now its treated as being the same thing. And from what I've seen those who used to be just gay dudes doing fetish things now are calling themselves "trans" instead to normalize their fetish to be out in public. Shouldn't be a surprise, Drag was an attention seeking fetish to start, and now they are getting LOTS more attention and like shown here can go after anyone who doesn't agree with what they are doing because they can jump on the "trans" bandwagon.

Doctor Who is on life support and RTD is doing his best to pull that plug out.

I would have said 1989, but that's just my opinion. No shade at the early reboot seasons.
Capaldi brought the show full circle and ended the franchise on a high note. Not only was his 14th Doctor paying homage to Hartnell, but it managed to finally kill off both the Doctor and Koschei (AKA The Master whose death is now stuck in a paradox because two incarnations killed each other) in a very fitting and heartfelt manner. The series finale even explained how the Master could become a woman. He's clearly seen heading back towards the Mondasian city at the base of the ship, mortally wounded, where he possessed a Mondasian woman - just like he'd possessed Nyssa's father after his final incarnation (Delgado) died.
If you cut out the canon-breaking episodes (such as Heaven Sent), you can combine Capaldi's run into a single season. And just as the Beeb did with McCoy (Doctor #7), Doctor #14 was intentionally cut short so they could do their franchise reboot with a woman "Doctor" who wants to be a man and is immortal. And that went so well that after a single Doctor, their franchise reboot had to be rebooted a second time.
Saying this show will bomb is like saying a desert is about to go through a dry spell. It has NOTHING to do with Doctor Who outside of a blue phone box and completely erases every single bit of canon that the actual show established, just like the previous rip-off.

Because there's nothing wrong with drag queens (or drag kings) and there is nothing inherently sexual about that type of performance art (and that's what it is for most). Why are you so opposed to drag queens existing? They've existed since before the US existed and before modern history even began. As with gay folks and trans folks (and Jinkx Monsoon is trans btw, who also happens to be a drag queen) you guys seem to want to erase their existence or make it so no one sees they exist because they make you so darn uncomfortable apparently.
Oh and Doctor Who hasn't been a "kids" show for a long time now, and while kids obviously do watch it - it's very obviously made for adults as well at this point and not some edutainment thing like it was in the 60s.

EXACTLY. There's nothing that represents the UK now, were just little America, sold out by rich people for the highest profit behind closed doors decades ago without our say.
Sadly Britain has almost fully lost their culture, and they are barely now pushing back a bit. I hope they recover and remember their roots and history and not let outsiders re-write everything. I use to admire the UK when I was a kid, now I just feel bad for what it's becoming.

Buffy the Vampire had one musical episode which was well written and showed their actors different skills. But I'm not sure that Dr Who has any writers who have any knowledge of the history of the Dr Who show.
Doctor Who actually had musical episode in 1966 (Gunslighters) but it received bad ratings and they never tried again until now.

I hate musicals. I have exceptions such as Nightmare Before Christmas because that is constantly music without the normal script between the songs. The musicals with normal speech between the songs just feel disjointed and the music is most often generic cheesy crap.

Some of the really old shows will see dated at first like the Superman show from 1950s with George Reeves but once you get into the story you forget about that the colors are dated and special effects are goofy all that goes right out the door.
For old shows I watch H&I and Comet and MeTV Saturday they play all the old sci-fi shows geek heaven. LOL

I was disappointed to find out she wasn't a regeneration of the Rani, a Time Lord played by Kate O'Mara. She could go toe to toe with both the Doctor and the Master, but I guess they don't hold females in the same high regard as I do

While i applaud and strongly support your take on this issue, I feel i ought to point out that women, and a growing number of lgb people, actually have been speaking out about it for many years now. Some of them - specifically concerned lesbians - as early as the 1970s and before. It's just that they have been suppressed, shouted down, or outright ignored by too many of us men.
Now it's affecting the things we're interested in like entertainment and sports, some of us seem to have found our voices at last.
I stopped watching Dr Who after David Tenant left. & i'm gay, and am so sick of all the agenda pushing and virtue signalling in all these programmes, and films. That's why i have stopped watching most of them, if not all, and just watch what i like on physical media, that i choose to watch,not what is forced on me. -It's all such bollocks. & not gonna lie, i feel the same as you about the gay community. They have a lot to answer for where what you said was concerned. & Making programmes with blatant woke characters on purpose in a British made iconic tv programme that was Dr Who with -first a women and then a gay black man? Please. Stop with all this. The studio executives, the kind who push AI on us and think we want it are the morons who think people want to see TV like this. For the past week I've seen several articles by all the trades every day about Ncuti Gatwa's opinions, thoughts on the show, Russell T Davies opinions, writing for the show, characters, the "sonic 2000s remote" there's something.It's one after another, after another, by different trades.
Disney must be spending billions for the trades to promote this dumpster fire.

If there was a huge viewer base who wanted this kind of stuff they could have just made the Rocky Horror Picture Show the series. This would have given them all they wanted for DEI, representation, science fiction, bizarre costumes, and wacky musicals. Could have started a whole new fandom without alienating the Dr. Who fan base.

@@michaelt3779- Drag IS sexuality, and it is not "just costumes and larping". It's always been considered adult fare, for good reason.
@@flameofthewest6196 there are drag performances at nursing homes/retirement communities, VA’s, etc. it’s just that story reading gets the most attention because conservatives assign some dark motive to it.
