An opinion reporter for Metro UK has sparked outrage after writing a piece called ‘Sorry straight white men, Doctor Who was never made just for you’.
The writer goes on to say that not everyone is enjoying a ‘boldly queer’, Black Doctor Who.
A group of outspoken individuals on social media, commonly referred to as keyboard warriors, expressed their discontent by asserting that the show had become excessively "woke."

I agree. I was 3 years old when Doctor Who started, and I loved it. My favourite was Jon Pertwee, who was terrific - plus I loved the Master, the Brigadeer and the Cyber men were far more scary than today's. I was never scared of the Daleks, I thought they were silly, especially not being able to climb stairs!!! This new doctor is awful.

I've just stopped watching. The BBC are disgusting.
BBC is entirely tax payer funded they don't care about ratings. They sold the show to Disney+ so no one in USA can see show without paid subscription til it comes out on expensive DVD.
tbh they always have been, well i mean the actual people at the top who run it. they make people pay tv license even if they don't watch BBC channel. And now recently the "Indiana Jones" franchise got nuked with that 5th movie which completely flopped hard. Davis doesn't seem to be aware of any of this, which is probably why he must think his new woke Doctor Who is gonna be a massive hit with the young generation.

However, BBC wanted a Christmas special and Chibnall was not yet ready to take over production so Moffat had to write one last episode. It would certainly explain the lack of plot in the final episode and why Moffat didn't seem to be bothered with the BBC shoehorning in woke agendas.

The incidental music annoyed me and I thought Davison was weak, saying most of his lines out of breath and high pitched. Let's not get into the Myrka or the lop sided sea devils. I carried on supporting it, loathed Colin baker and all his stories, really disliked sly McCoy and stopped watching completely when bonnie appeared. Comedian guest actors, I just thought it was crap, but I was 14 to 19 what did I know. Maybe it was meant for younger kids then who would have loved the candyman and that Fifi glove puppet...

It's an insult to call this Doctor Who. I'm very very biased though because I've hated all of it since the reboot. Chris Eccleston and Billie turned this into EastEnders in space and I stopped watching. I actually kind of lost interest half way through Peter Davison's doctor. I watch the old stuff over and over again, I still love that, but I don't want to be associated with any of this

Whats interesting here is that i remember years ago Hollywood made a "ALL FEMALE Ghostbusters" reboot movie, and this upset those fans because they wanted the original GB characters back. Basically all the Intersectional Feminists attacked the fans calling them sexist bigots for not liking thier new all-female GB team and told the Ghostbusters Fans to basically "don't watch it then" and just go away.
I remember this well it was in 2016 because after that, all this "woke" ideology came flooding into everything. But when the GB fans were told not to watch the SJW Feminist's all female ghostbusters, those fans just walked away and didn't watch that 2016 movie; in the end that movie bombed at the box-office and the Sony studio ended up scrapping any sequels to that movie.
So this ncuti gatwa guy who is saying the same things here, telling Dr Who fans not to watch his new show, all that's gonna happen is they will just do that, they'll just walk away and then there won't be hardly any audience for it.

I love DW. I'm gay, my wife's gay and so is our boyfriend Julie. My Cat thinks it's a Dog and next door's Dog accepts us all the way we feel and when DW comes on, we all sit on the Sofa and feel the warm glow of the Heart of the TARDIS-together.
