I will say, I miss when the characters had individual personality both in character and looks. So many Heroes and villains are just a rip off of another hero and villain these days. I love that you keep reminding us of why we need to look back at older books and stories!
“Ripped off the Band-Aid”, hah. At least your socks never disappoint, superstar of the covered-feet runway. Hulk #201: Nice grab! Great vintage. And that's even before his combo with...Conan!? Man, this entire century sucks compared to the 1970s, haha. And issue #285: Haha, Hulk is smart because Hulk wears a tie (it's even coloured purple) and buttoned dress shirt; a man-blouse for Hulk. And Zzzax is odd but interesting in his seemingly basic-ness, because I've never seen a full, issue-featured battle between he and the Hulk. FF #180: I hadn't realized that particular title font that “Fantastic Four” on the covers was changed to, was that early on. Even though it also looks like a '70s font, to me it first looked like an '80s font. I reminds me of the on-screen credits font the sequel Star Trek TV series, from TNG starting in 1987, and beyond into the '90s, used. Then some time later, as seen with your FF issue #342, the title font was changed BACK to the original style. Seems minor, but it affects my impressions of each cover. The Brave and the Bold #82: Twice, on-camera, then unbagged off-camera then placed on-camera again, does “Mister Dark Syde” MISS entirely the prominent, stand-out lettering in the lower-right of the cover - “Interlude on EARTH-TWO”! Haaahaha 😉. Oh, and also, look at that Batmobile, though you spoke it first. That design continued through the '80s. And...Hugo Strange's huge, translucent, red-coloured hovering head, hahaha. That harkens back to Steve Englehart's “Strange Apparitions” (the cover, at least). FF #285: Hahaha, but the vikings or other Asgardians on that cover, look like they're driving away from the viewer/reader on “quad” off-road vehicles, hahaha. Vehicles that are kinda 'redneck' (or American AND Canadian, actually). Nice Web of Spider-Man #90. The '90s holograms still look very good. And the hologram effect doesn't 'stop working'. King Conan: That's no Annual, that's the very first issue to the series! The only stories I've read of Conan as king have been in Savage Sword of. Spectacular Spidey #85: I like the lighting and colors of the background city skyline on that cover. The buildings work as fun framing - the trio on the cover could be nose-diving for Central Park, with that wide open space in between all of the buildings (to act as a frame). Also, I've always liked the Hobgoblin along with Green Goblin. Knightfall's a long Batman story - and one of the most entertaining. Brian Stelfreeze painted many Shadow of the Bat covers. Those should also be collected in a book - but, I guess the point is to sell us on all those issues that I bought and you're buying. Web of Spidey #44: In the late-'80s through early-'90s, there seems to have been many military unit-based teams of plain humans using tech, as adversaries. Like this cover's Warzone. However throwaway and brief in appearance all of those teams were; I liked 'em. And then there's Dark Horse's Pit Bulls. The Owl, was he ever given a final death? I know that he had at least a couple of false deaths. One in earlier, '70s or early '80s, Spectacular Spidey and he recovered from another faked death in one of the Marvel Team-Up stories I got in that collection. More Legion, more GL, but I found myself more interested by the Hulk covers. My Gods, Marinus, sorry to make this one so long but I guess it was inevitable after I decided to comment on specific ccovers. I go now. Another, nice big haul of wads of fun comics. Thanks for sharing and have a great (Canadian Thanksgiving) weekend!
heheheh It gettting colder so my "Northic Socks" are coming on again :p. Right? This was so much Nostalgia in here. Damn. That is so weird Hulk in decent clothes. Always remind of The Beast doing that (althought he has FURRR). Never?/ Let me see what i can do with the comic. Indeed. I beleive Marvel did that a couple of times to see what sticks back in the day. Didn't they do that with Superman's logo as well. hmm. Whaaatttt? I didn't even noticed that. I probably was caught up with all of the unboxing stuff 😅. Man love to see that Batmobile. It was so cool and reminds me alot of Batman TAS vehicle🤩. We gonna tackle those issues, Mike. Thanks for reminding me. I need to get the comic after that ( i have it in my possesion somewhere). I thought it was an Annual 😛. Ow well.. Goblins are the best. they screwed Osborn so much that i started to like the Hobgoblin more. I heard. I need to get into that. Sigh. So many books. Also sinds my brain is not working well and i forget alot. i probably have those books hahaha., More techbased team is always good. Just like henchmen 😝. Hmm not sure because he always comes back just like everyone.. So many comics Mike. No wonder you typed so much hahaha. I don't mind much😛. Type as much as you want. Thanksgiving? Niiceee. Eat a great chunk of Gluk-glucks hahahah 😋😛
Awesome Marinus … the old books are the best. I can’t remember if I have any of my old Hulk comics left after soo many were stolen years ago. 🤘🤘🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

😃I do my best to uphold those memories, because they are the best memories for a reason! Thanks for sticking around, Richard!
