Wha? Reading the issue description, then looking at the cover. Oh, yeesh. Hahaha, silly fun, let's go! The cover, which ABSOLUTELY looks '70s. And not only because of the inclusion of a Conan-stylized knockoff character. I was gonna check on the issue publish date, but I could tell a 1970s style, regardless of artist or publisher dressing. I think that the “word un-subtlety” in here is to add to and accentuate the humorous entertainment. As Hulk pounds his chest with a fist, like a boasting barbarian. Well, it's simply, hokey, referential one-shot fun and I like your sped-up sort of “Hulk voice” for this era version's way of speaking. Short and sweet, basic and to the point (of Kronak's sword). And that's that for now. Thanks for this jaunt with the not-so-jolly green giant, Marinus, don't work too hard and have a great start to a new week.

Oh, assailed in an isolated farmhouse. More American George Romero and Universal Studios homage, than Hammer horror. The same is indicated by the lycanthropes, too. This could have been a concept that the writer had enthusiasm for, without knowing how to end a story encompassing all of these various, clashing monster factions. With the Mandragore serving as a MacGuffin device, potentially as a basis for a Transilvane monsters-only focused one-shot/origin but especially for Superman's (or any DC hero's) insertion into the setting. The premise was more interesting than the shortened resolution, perhaps. And with the final page, in typical writing fashion, alluding to a return to Transilvane I still don't think that happens or will happen. Oh well. Entertaining gimmick, for this anthology series. It's no Legends of the Dark Knight. But fun enough. Anyway, thanks Marinus, I'm going to get back to resting and ideally comic-reading not just RUclips catching-up on this day off...take care, my friend, and enjoy this end to your week.

Yeahhhh. I don't mind this, but it's too much story with too little time to wrap it up. The Mandragore was important...what 2 seconds? lol. yeah it was like "bye! Ah, right on. I "just got this" exact, same collected edition on a whim when I came across it unexpectedly on the magazine rack-like shelves in the local pharmacy. That must have been 1993, the year this version was published, and I've still got it. An absolute classic, as you say, and I should re-read this, even after playing your review. It's been decades since I last did. I know that (two?) sequels exist but I have never read them. I don't think that I want to, withholding a feeling of trepidation that they will besmirch, not quite ruin, the ideal-to-perfect self-enclosed story in here. It's like an Elseworlds tale. But, if you end up reviewing the first sequel, then I'll just consider it as a separate, other Elseworlds-type story. Reconsidering it now, I think this might 'feel' more like a Dark Horse title's writing than like a DC one-shot's kind of writing. But, either or. And it suits both characters very well. I've always liked the...dark, gritty palette. I was gonna find different descriptions for the finished art, but that's exactly what it is. And I've always like the Kubert brothers', the younger Kuberts' art even when I was young. Hearing what you quoted as a current Amazon (evil monopoly) price, I'm doubly-glad that I've always held on to this collection book. This paper stock, too! Is now no longer used. Anyway - excellent pick, my friend! Thanks for featuring it, in time for this American Thanksgiving extended weekend period. Have a great one, Marinus, take care, and see you at your next!

Action! An almost entirely serious comic book showdown climax with literal, multiple casualties. When reading the previous issue set in the ancient Roman Empire parallel universe, I'd thought that mentions of a commissioner were about only that world's own commissioner. Not thinking of her as the police commissioner for all of the worlds. Now I think back to how those 'Roman' cops' bits of dialogue of her did foreshadow the character's major power worthy of that official, professional title. Junkie! Man, Officer “Toybox” Slinger's toys are creepy and cool-looking. While Commissioner Ultima was pretty man-ish in appearance...which Electric Pete was attracted to. I know, you and Dave have repeatedly mentioned how rainy and therefore cloudy and overcast the Netherlands may be or are, but, do you have cloud cover constantly hovering over YOUR house? 😛 I know what that could be like - this province I live in, has the most erratic weather on the continent (I've travelled to see so). I thought Jeff's “Smaxdown” battle with Ultima was great. I really wanted him to take her down; after I'd wanted Irma to fire up (pun intended, sure) all of her weaponry (not the nuke) and take out that wench...before Irma was 'powered down'. For once, I'd glossed over this opening page's first panel, so thanks for pointing out the Metropolis newspaper boys...but who did they shoot down, that were parachuting on the other side of the panel, haha!? I think your primary plot criticisms are 'jumping the gun' to the actual follow-up investigating, to the following issue (only two left!). Your questions would have occurred logically to these police and dictated their procedure, but the whacko addict threatening to destroy the entire city interrupted them. While the cliffhanger ending to this issue was sudden and a lead-on to the following one, I think your gripes are intended to be covered, in #11. The alien serial killer did have a precog vision that she would be killed in her jail cell, and just because she's dead doesn't mean her obnoxious fellow teammates will relent. More like, especially not since she's now dead while in police custody. May the Rumor is actually the Goose guy who's been assaulting womens' behinds. Still two issues left, Marinus, but only two! So those will be the wrap-up of this series. John Peacock is still in the other dimension, as well. More to come. I guess I enjoyed this issue more than you did, or, wasn't so disappointed. Well, we'll see what's next. Good stuff either way, thanks again for your review as I read along, and have a great one!

Finally we see some good oldfashioned superhero action!! yeah me too. Right. This series works better reading it back to back. there are so many things that i have missed becasue it's very story driven (in multiple ways). I like toybox. She is acoo lcharacter and she could be Toymans daughter if this was in the DC universe lol. Ultima was a old crone hahahha. Welll mostly xDDDD. It's 50/50 lol. Luckily it's not England were it's well 90% cloudy :p. I loved the battle! Smaxz looked strong and determined. yes he lost but still upholding his values "dead or alive, you're coming with me" - Robocop. If Irma shot that nuke then it would've be: "game over, man!!!"😂. They were the Newspaper biys right? i was right!!. Not sure who they were aiming at. yeah it makes me wonder if there were another mystery sourinding the death of Krazic/Gromolko (or what ver his name was), but what could it be? Hmm mreally? Interesting. I would'nt mind to explore m,ore of the background of that Alien killer, but she's dead now 😐. Ow man he isndeed somwwhat invisible. He COULD be the invisible groper hahaha. Ow yeah the Peacock story also need to be wraped up😵. Ow man. Will they deliver? Still it's a very good series so far. I trust the consistency continues, Mike🙂. Have a fantstic day and thanks for watching!!

Hah, Leonard Snart wearing both his snow glasses and a desert headscarf. Ah, that literal psychological twist of Hal's memories is exactly what his particular scenario needed to continue to make it seem interesting. And apparently, to kickstart Hal out of his limbo inside the ring. I remember you posting to X, a screencap of this page where Plastic Man confronts Elongated Man. Yeah, when I was young I thought Plastic Man was annoying, but here it IS Elongated Man who sucks. Not that I really have any grudge against him. Who is that, whose speech bubble you were pointing to, who was insulting Lois Lane? Yup! Another good one. Alex Ross' writing seems to pack a lot into each issue, in one way or another. Thanks for carrying on through this, Marinus - must be eight months along of covering this, so far. Take care, stay well, be warm and have another great day.

Alright. Constantly busy, at...anything, and perma-(permanently) tired, that's me. 'Tis the season for it. Nonetheless, by now I've read up to issue #10, which is the last that I currently have in my hands. I would've been able to catch up to you by now, if the Canada Post employees' strike, strategically timed, wasn't still going on with no end in sight. I should/could have had issues #11-20, ten days ago, I figure. Anyway, this issue: what is up with Hawkman? And, each of Gog's miraculous gifts, ever since the first he's imbued, have perpetuated this sense of foreboding that each 'fix' has a catch. I suppose due to the fact that he's Gog, and previous similar situations in comics and elsewhere. Ah, so this is what you'd meant previously as an aside about Lance, to keep him in mind/make a note of him/remember he'll stand out. I hadn't guessed that this is what would happen with him, but I also hadn't given it many tries. The Sarah Connor Chronicles: but what an ending, introducing even more, multiple mysterious questions to be answered about that series. Still, it was too bad about what happened to Derek Reese. I think some clues are dropped by producers about what they'd planned to do for season 3, on some DVD/BluRay special features segment that I haven't watched. Nerd alert! Another Mike, before he really asserted being Terrific. Even though, yes, this storyline's overall pace is floating along on Gog's tide, slow and steady, it still entertains and distinguishes from the League. Thanks for another fun review, Marinus, and I hope to get my next batch of issues soon so I can keep reading. Have a great rest of your week!

Sucks. Sucked. Suck it hard. Suck it down. (I think that's me quoting an actor impersonating Sean Connery, in a Saturday Night Live episode's “Celebrity Jeopardy” game show skit.) Other than that single, busy-looking splash page - although, that's not the exception for the reason that the character is performing a horrible act on himself in that scene, in order for that page to look like that. Sucked. Predictably, you know. Oswalt involvement. Oswalt, Marinus. Oswalt, AGAIN. Cast it into the fire and keep a lock on that burning dumpster. Time for some Outsiders, Teen Titans, Doom Patrol or New Mutants, instead. Even early X-Force. All, for much better dysfunctional teams of youths. 'Thanks' Marinus, hasta la vista, take care and have a good day despite this.

It would've been cool to indtroduce the character to the audience, warm then up with a fun story and then maybe do an out of this world story. I don't even know who these guys are. A follow-up volume, printed by Malibu, of all publishers. I hadn't realized/remembered. Cool. The original volume established all Star Slammers as exclusively humans, who are a near-extinct or rare race among all of the others...right? That appears to have been changed, for this continuation. Or are those “imperials” or government types shown, also giants, like the pair of bodyguards/compatriots of the white-haired woman in the bar? Simonson's sci-fi art designs look as good as his Norse mythology art designs for Ragnarok. I agree with you about new, recent re-coloring treatments given to collected or re-released comic material. The color choices made in the Complete Collection that you pointed out at least, do all appear to be improvements with care and attention to benefit Simonson's lineart. If (because) media is propaganda, then it's a bane. Or even a “BAAANNE!”, to quote Batman & Robin by Joel Schumacher. Yar, this is enjoyable thus far, with even a touch of a Lobo adventure thrown into the atmosphere of this issue. It's still all by Simonson, so I'm confident this is gonna be good. I'm glad you're carrying on with this 'sequel' to Walt's original set. Thank you for your efforts, Marinus, and may you have a satisfying, not-so-busy week to come!

I wonder the White- haired woman is a gun for hire or maybe part of 'the Empire". She could be a wild card. Man. I can't beleive i find his art 'not good' years ago, UNTILLLL i've read Ragnarok😵‍💫. I was so wrong!! I love the color pallet. The new edition is vibrant and colorfull. Very nice to look at. the floppies not so much weirdly enough. xDDD that movie never leaves my mind lol. Yeah, we gonna go to the finnish. I hope it delivers. Maybe, just maybe they overblow there story, because it sounds very big and epic. We shall see, Mike In the meantime: have a great day :)

This issue is both a culmination of elements in her new life/un-life, as well as an escalation to another level and more depth to Ghost's overall story, past and present life. You've posted this review as my next issue of Ghost to read is issue #27; this reminds me to do that ASAP. No cover-peeking! Much continues to go on from here regarding the story behind Ghost, and Arcadia. I'll say no more, of course. I'm not reading any other comic book series, nor do I think I have before, with Ghost's noir-supernatural take or tone. It's not like X or Hellboy. Your review also reminds me to check out the Ghost Special and more in the Dark Horse omnibus I bought months ago. Get well soon, Marinus. Hopefully you haven't worked yourself into ill health. Icon's cape on that opening page, is Archangel's wings. The pleated look is cool. Different from the McFarlane flowing, organic cape or the Mister Miracle/Doctor Strange back-shield. When Icon leads Raquel into his secret hideaway where his intact life pod is, I wonder what's making such a bright, blinding white light? And, why? Also, during his explanations, I realize (again): Raquel is only...15 years old!?...very recently troubled by her unplanned pregnancy, and she's decided on a costume with a boob window. Hah. She comes across as more like 18 here. Yet again: an alien race is made up entirely, at least predominantly, of “peaceniks” who are naturally morally superior to humanity and have incidentally or not swung by Earth to proselytize and demonstrate to the inferior humans some higher ethics embodied as an entire, completely believable, alien species. The coloring also looks similar to Valiant's house “format”. I forget what it's named, though I'm SURE I saw it printed within the inside indicia text, which is added to each comic book issue of any series. Despite an online search, and looking through the last issues of Magnus and Turok I've read, I couldn't find the color style's name again. Kyle Ritter's name came up as a result, linked to coloring for Valiant, though! (The modern, corporation ownership of “Valiant”, of course. Kyle's not that old.) Agreed, this does come across more like “Icon's origin: Lite version”. More like, just the first part or layer to his explanation to Raquel. Still, it's not wholly unsatisfying. Just, more like an...appetizer. A primer for next issue's continuation. Ideally, however as the beginning of a crossover event, we'll see. Thanks again for another review, Darksyde Marinus, best of luck with your medical appointments, and have another good day.

Right? maybe she was growing up in a harder enviroment and thus growing up...faster? Every alien comes over a superior over us monkeys hahah in the 90's. Man i love the colors so much. if i could find a colorsit that could replicate that i would hire him/her in a second. I missed opprotunity imo. They could have dive deeper in his alien character on his planet/cruiser/gfamily/personality etc. Ow well. It was not bad, still. Allright lets hope i push the right button this time. Your video subtitle: Well, considering what Caryn did, in the last issue. And, issue #9 of 12...remember me telling you that I looked over some Amazon reviews of this story, within one of the Dark Horse (manga-sized) omnibuses? That comes to mind, now. Before I even press play on your video, which is also...now. The storyline's pacing: yeah. Awkward, erratic, in flux. That first page look like Kyle Hotz or Kelley Jones, though! Chris Claremont knew that he was writing for the Aliens franchise, universe, right? Did he? Maybe he was hanging out with Frank Miller a lot. Y'know, the Frank Miller who wrote his own treatment for Robocop and was cast as Kaine's drug chemist in Robocop 2. Hee hee, “b-word”! We're regressing into adult, self-induced kindergarten! Speech control, you say? I say, “no one ever complied their way out of tyranny”. What th-! After her...”tea parlour” time with the Alien Queen, Caryn looks like she's turned into a hairless mannequin. Or, “manikin” is also apparently an acceptable spelling. Caryn's super-duper, extra-special, even-more-unique engineering or not...a Predator and a human can communicate in English, now? Any Predators, including this one up until this ninth issue, have only been portrayed to mimic the English dialogue that human story characters speak. But there was never any implication of directly spoken language understanding. Only in abstract context. Lines only spoken by a Predator to or just “at” a human, outside of obvious, rational meaning or logical application. So: as you said during your recent unboxing's receiving of your multiple, latest Dark Horse Aliens series, the 4-issue average length suits stories well that were based within this IP. This is the only Aliens Dark Horse storyline I know of, that's three times as long. By now, this is also leading me to wonder why it seems as though all of Claremont's work outside of his Uncanny X-Men run, is so meandering. Too much, over the top, all combined at once. Confusion, indeed. Frustrating, after so many issues. But!...We've still 3 more to see how this turns out. Ideally, Claremont stayed away from Frank Miller's batches of “Nuke”. The art's still great, even after the covers, as usual (or at least, commonly). Thanks again, as ever, space miner of space comics Marinus. Keep readin', keep healing, and have a pleasant mid-week, my friend.

“WRONG! Conan! What is best in life?” “To charbroil your minotaur enemies...see them made into hamburger before you...and hear the lamentations of the hungry slave women.” “Yes, that is good.” That was a very nice auctioneer's drawl of jumbling-mashing all of those issue creators' names together, haha. Nah, she said plump, not “fat”. Like a Renaissance Age woman as the subject of a painting. Like a Thanksgiving turkey. Gobble. The tale of the...bull, who tried to walk with a cane? Haha, what? Those beefy legs just lying there, Conan, would make for some consolation victory steaks or burgers to share with the slave girl, if you'd just turn around. Anyway, what more is there to say about this series, circa 1983, with this issue created by this roster of talent of the time? Even though I stopped collecting this series after Roy Thomas left as writer - which was not long after the end of the Bêlit saga - this was of course, still classic fun. The barbarian fantasy archetype. Thanks for roleplaying through some enjoyable Conan the Cimmerian done correctly in comics format, Marinus-Xaltotun of Python. Hah, suitably fitting to her namesake or not, Madame Viper's new haircut looking like a cobra after linking up with Yellow Claw, still looks funny. I didn't see a soap operatic love triangle coming, but then, Kate wasn't even around in the only, Steranko's run of Nick Fury's original volume I read that introduced Val meeting Nick and the two of them first getting together romantically. This has been great fun. Whatever happened to Dum Dum Dugan. Using these three issues as reference, this '90s volume/series seems like a worthy successor to the Steranko-dominated orignal, '60s/'70s Nick Fury series. Including a villain, Yellow Claw, I've long known of but somehow have never read a story involving him - or even found out more about him other than name and general birthplace. Hy-draaaaa! The Fred “series” are introduced in the original Marvel run. The lore involving that character/those characters, is actually still building up, by the issue I left off at...#68, maybe?...as I'm still collecting the floppies, up to past #105 (where each issue gets expensive and rare). To answer your question from a previous comment reply, no, I'm not going to buy the compendiums just to re-purchase different editions of issues #1-68 collected, again. If I'd been going to, it would have been in hardcover. But that's the format I've got those issues #1-68 collected, in oversize hardcover collections that are now collector's items. Yeah, this is fine. The ads for the other properties are what are more annoying and overexposed. “Thanks” to yet another animated series, I'd never before (the animation) known about Invincible and now I have no desire to ever try to read it. Anyway, maybe there are too many plot elements being introduced in here - or maybe the multiple, solo character spin-off series are increasing that confusion - but the focus on these particular plot elements is more faithful. Carry on, Private. “Check your corners”, as the Sarge in 'Aliens' said. And a thank you to you, while bidding you have a good day and good week, Marinus!

(Still getting ghosted - still gonna try this again. And, yes, alter the one specific term that I knew Google will reject/cover-up; you can probably figure out which word(s) or where in the comment, at least. Looking over this same comment again, I can tell that I'd typed it while exhausted after work.) Agreed overall, with your opening statement. This doesn't grip my attention. I suppose it's got elements that 'should' grab my attention too, though my mind's already wandered from this enough that you'd be more familiar with those elements in question than me. 'Funny', because I began noticing with the beginning of this issue that the division DOES appear at least initially splt along ethnicity. Appearances... Shiloh is pronounced as “shy-low”, by the way. It's a word I haven't heard very much, through my life. This series comes across as a cobbled-together gobble-de-gook of partial elements that I've already seen drawn from other sources. Namely, in movies, novels, TV series, children's storybooks, immersive video games, comic books, Western animation, manga, anime and pop culture art - for decades and decades. The scenes of inter-family dialogue of drama-drama-drama are well enough written. Maybe this writer should just answer his true calling and write series for the Hallmark TV channel. Probably. There is too little of “something” in here to grasp onto. Not nearly enough. Pass, Marinus. Moving on! Thanks for your review though, m'man. Have a great day.

Nope! Read “The Politically Incorrect Guide to Climate Change” by Marc Morano. Just, read it. This kinda content is only in service to Hollywood-that-was-of-the-1900s, now self-made WhollyWeird, and that's why I abhor its very existence. This title really doesn't have much of a record, now 15 issues in, for being a very good Hulk, Marvel or even superhero series. It's got painted covers. Well, whoop-dee-doo, about as much substance as the rest of the 75%-of-all-media Disney controlled baby pablum (that target customers continue to actually pay attention to). Leaving the so-called stories' titles until the end of each issue, sucks. Alright! I'm gonna go look up more Hulk Epic Collections of Peter David's run to cleanse the mental stain of this. Captain Canuck, the Lumberjack. That is to say, the Axe. A single dart to his forehead, haha. Very nice-looking lineart style. Very clean storybook-like. Yes, definitely a similarity to Moebius, now that you mention it. Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, but not a chop does he drop. Again, this series does feel European; an interesting perspective on a Canadian main character. Isn't that the second time Little Bird's been killed, in the three issues of this series thus far? She'll resurrect, and maybe the Axe will regenerate (probably not). Brutal kill count, and it remains an interesting title. Thanks for your review of another issue, Marinus. Well, this issue's cover has good-looking colours and lighting. The B.A.T. looks good but Destro's suit being coloured red looks funny on the 'reveal' page. By the “Destro family, Destro means exactly that, his surname, his heritage but I know only of lore involving this one, particular Mr. Destro wearing his silver mask. Whatever's truly on his head and over his face, I'm still calling it a mask. I really doubt that Duke could rip off the head of a B.A.T. but it looks good. Scarlett's the only redhead woman in the Joes. Finally, this is a decent issue though I don't know who would have betrayed Duke to make it appear that he betrayed the military/U.S. Ditch the inclusion of the Transformers and this will be good. An “improved energy source” for the B.A.T.s in the form of Energon is obviously coming and a bit contrived. Imagery may look good, individual titles of so many Joe/Cobra members may seem to may some lore sense - but, 40, 30 years ago. I'm very wary of that, now. The main, team book should be decent...though, again, minimizing (cutting) Transformers. A one-time war with the Cybertronians could be fun. Anyway, I'm out, and notice I didn't whine and complain for this entire comment. Hah, okay, enjoy more comics-reading, may your health improve and have a good lead-up to your weekend, Marinus!

You're right. This frustratingly wasn't a good issue of X. Final two pages notwithstanding, where was the title character!? The inner monologue dialogue for the entire comic wasn't even from his perspective, but from hers. The “War For Arcadia” storyline is the one that I'd previously mentioned from reading ahead in Ghost, where X shows up in her series continually for that entire story. Which spans several issues. But I didn't expect any “prelude” to be like this. A bait-and-switch! In this issue's cover image: Ghost's neck looks too long; as though it's stretched. Her body overall looks much longer and leaner than X's...in the picture, he could be 4 feet tall, while she could look about 7 feet tall. It's too bad that Grant, as the writer of X, tried to write Ghost like Luke does in that character's own series. Whether or not this story is ultimately more about Ghost. Which is the impression this prelude gives. Oh well. I suppose it seemed like a good narrative decision at the time. I'm confident the following issues won't stumble. Thanks for continuing on with another series you got me to pick up, Darksyde! I hope your health ailments improve sooner than later! Take care, my friend, and have a good mid-week.

Well, no, I remember the WWF wrestler Junkyard DOG, and I always remember G.I. Joe. Junkyard Joe, I've only heard of and glimpsed in passing mention. Some Vietnam War vet, looks like? Yeah, this first page's first panel for the flashback, “1972”. What a surprise, with how 'Nam seems to have become ignored by the lame 21st-century in favour of exploiting (and rewriting the Punisher into, AHEM) the Middle East. Then, a jump to 1997...he's a robot? Nate seems like he could USE books to get into the reading of, to shut up from rambling so much. So, ironically, he talks about hating reading. I think anybody would sleep better without rods stuck into their back. I understand the narrative purpose of Nate's constant talkative behaviour; to fill the space(s) of this post-apocalyptic wasteland. Barney's abduction was oddly sneaky. Nonetheless, this remains an entertaining series/volume, with consistently good writing and art by its creators. Thanks for serving up another of Geoff Johns' “A Boy and His Dog”, Marinus. 'Til next time, have a RAD day.

Rambling Nate is annoying. but his heart is in the right place. I root for him!. I can't imagine how much those rods hurt while sleeping. Take them off😛. I thought so too. Why was he following Nate? Well, this is a unique treat among Dark Horse's wide "Aliens" swath; a story designed as a graphic novel. It's one that I'm actually not familiar with. Not in this format, at least; whether or not I've come across reading its title before as part of a Dark Horse list. With a typical Marvel Prestive/Graphic Novel-level of creative team. And so it's good! At first, I'd anticipated that Dean when encountered alone planetside would turn out to be a hallucination of Selkirk's. A possibility enhanced by the main character's faith. Maybe that was Dave Gibbons' obvious intent. Whose name in comics I recognize earliest, from Judge Dredd/2000A.D. An Aliens story by Mike Mignola is as distinct as the film adaptation by Walt Simonson. Or, one drawn by Kelley Jones, or Kyle Hotz (there's an artist, only recently I realized that the art on and inside of a particular book I own was drawn by him)... May the God-Emperor grant them true salvation! Er, no. Wrong IP. Ah, that Aliens-universe, android/Synthetics 'white milk' primary (only?) bodily fluid. Great acquistion, Marinus, that you've evidently long known of and sought. Thanks again for introducing it to me. Another in ole Dark Horse's long, long line of of quality licensed property treatment. Cheers, and have a satisfying next week!

It is. I was looking for this one for years! The image in the video was from the HC. I thought it was cool to show it along side the OG cover. That would be a cool image too. Like an angel from heaven. Man I forgot aboput Gibbon's 2000AD work.... Right. It's rare and his style fit perfectly for the dark gritty tone. Kelly Jones also did aliens ( i try to get his books as well) called Aliens: Hive. "Make America great again"...wait. Wrong "emperor" lol. I beleive they run on cow milk🤣. Thank you, thank you :). Yes maybe you can pick it up for cheap orrr is found in the Omnibusses ( not sure). I realise how many good IP Dark Horse had back in the day. Damn!! Boxes and winter sockses and a Marinus with a goose-honking nose. Stay warm, and let's get to it! A lot of Aliens miniseries, indeed. I've either not even heard of some of these series' titles or Dark Horse produced so many that I forget some names. I sure wasn't aware of some of the particular teams of creative talents. Veritably all of the issues, no matter the series, have interesting, attractive covers. And those might ultimately turn out to be the most redeeming factors of a few of these series. Maybe. But, I still think regardless of known popularity these Dark Horse miniseries are worth picking up and checking out personally, to find out! Many attention-grabbing, painted (especially) covers that should be collected into a 'coffee table' book. That's a great angle and perspective in the cover image for Spider-Man and Valkyrie. While that cover for The Incredible Hulk #291 looks hilarious; main image and cornerbox cartoon. Ah, I love the look of all of those '80s Marvel pages, the coloring, the newsprint and how it makes the ink look. No, I don't know of any trick to open those white-coloured USPS padded envelopes either, other than what you did in this video. The glimpse of the art for The Empire Strikes Back Parker Brothers “Video game Cartridge” on the back cover of the Marvel Team-Up annual featuring the Thing's ultra-weight boxing bout(s) got my attention, actually. Congrats on your progress with Gemini Crusaders, and with your planned launch month having remained consistent without a noticeable setback, for several months already now. Good on you, for wanting to complete as much of it as possible/as you can stand to, before launching. Great haul here, especially the pricier personal 'gems' and of course the loads of more Dark Horse. Get some ”R & R”, read a lot of comics, and see you healthier hopefully soon!

😂😂😂 True. There is so many. I'm not even sure is some of them are connected to other series as well. These cover are lit!!! 😃. The Omnibusses are (i think) the way to go. Not sure if there are in chronologial order. Must be, right? Yeah I beleive the artist on that Spidey/Valkery book is Herb Trimple and Mike esposito. Should be fun. Trimple worked on the Hulk for many years. Right? i was like wtfff!?😅. Good times, Mike :). I was really struggeling. Maybe there is a easier way that i don't know about. It was a Atari game from the Parker Brothers. Times were simpeler then . very basic graphics 😋. So far so good, Mike. The hard part is getting backers and fullfilling. I'm nerveous already hahah. We will see what happens!! the book is lets say 60% drawn and colored. Will do, Mike. I'm sure you will like the next video that i have uloaded to day🤩. Have a great Sunday!!

Oh, boy...enough time, other material and faded interest has passed that I only basically recall the set-up for this. But not even last issue's specifics. I could just re-watch your previous review, again - but, nah, let's go! Haha, “the Moot” is the name for Warhammer's equivalent to JRR Tolkien's “the Shire” in Middle-Earth. And I just listened to another fun GDN narrated story based around hilarious halflings. The Fallen's face still looks like a bad mockery of the Crow. At least in his “Previously...” inside cover profil portrait. Weird, kinda 'high school' dialogue. Madelyne's face looks screwy in the lower-left corner panel on the one left-side page, after 4:05. Then it's Alex's turn, in the panel in the same place, on the page where he talks to Scotty. And THEN...Reed, too! What th-! Parasite Eve has a cool atmosphere for winter-Christmastime-New Year's time New York City. Circa 2000, too. Nostalgia. I've replayed a longplay of that game a couple of times in recent years, during snowy wintertime. Moody OST, too. Reed Richards turned into an arachnid man here, in this parallel dimension? Well, this ongoing premise of this particular dimension isn't that exciting - maybe it's me, compared with “parallels” when I was younger - nor is it terrible. The alternate versions are alright but the artist's close-ups of faces is not. Something liquid and shape-shifting about his depictions, of those I already mentioned above and more. It's wonky. But, even though Age of Apocalypse (which I began but never continued with much less finished; I have the omnibus, though) satisfies my personal yearnings for any alternate dimension takes on Marvel, this is okay. We'll see if that plays out with the next issue. 'Til then, or your next video rather, be well, take care and have a great end to your week, Marinus.

Stan Lee taking on the Justice League...that cover doesn't make it seem like anything I want...alright, here we go. “Just Imagine” sounds like a song by The Beatles or The Byrds. Brock Smith looks like actor Michael Chiklis. Evil Michael Chiklis. What the HELL? What the hell is with these character redesigns? Green Lantern's green eyebrows look terrible. Ah, the cover's image made this Bat Man look like an actual part-man, part-bat. I obviously see the mask in the interiors. The Bat as a hero looks like Der Fleidermaus from “The Tick” while the guy wearing the suit...is John Shaft? Detective John Sha- shut your mouth! I'm talkin' 'bout Shaft. Darrk is “very powerful but he's also weak”? I guess the dialogue sounds like the Justice League but the characters simply don't look like it. Yeah, the art's good, the designs fun but take away the words and this is something other than the JLA much less DC. Ah well, as the saying goes - “wham, bam, thank you ma'am.” And Marinus, for your review! Next! And have a good weekend.

Oh, one anthology series that Marinus doesn't reject. Marvel Fanfare. It looks good, though. And checking further into that title - it was decided/announced this year, that the entire series is planned to be released in three omnibuses. The first volume, of issues #1-19, is set for May 2025. Those creators, a lot of painted art, the roster of characters and even story premises as compared with Marvel Team-Up...I think I'm gonna have to get that. Kirby was nicknamed “King” for a reason (or, many reasons). Well, the late-'70s to earliest of '80s era overall that the Dazzler series is set in is of interest, at least... 😜 It's so strange to see individual members of the 31st-century Guardians of the Galaxy show up in issues like The Defenders, and presumably before their own title bringing/keeping them together that began in 1989. Oh man, hahaha, @ 9:57 in that issue of the Defenders, take another look at that ad for “Big Jim's P.A.C.K.”, haha. I've heard of Wolverine's The Jungle Adventure, and have seen the back cover image but I don't know the story. Mignola drawing Simonson's writing, awesome. I've always been into the character of Apocalypse ever since I first laid eyes on him. And I haven't looked up anything on the Bloodlust one-shot either, before you review that. Okay, enough from me. Unboxing hundred sixty one's done. I'll await your inevitable, pending follow-ups. What, this is over, already? It was just building up steam. I guess Terry Laban had a LITTLE bit of setup for female barbarians to tell, that was nagging at his brain. Just a little bit. Whoever he is. On DC's Vertigo. Weird. Uh, that rushed, intrusion of an insert between Sigga and Sköld. What the hell? And it looked like, in this issue alone, Sköld's skin pigmentation kept changing, back and forth. Even further what-the-hell. After the prince impales his own soldier all the way through just for protesting in cowardice, in the following panel it looks like the blond barbarian, Hrotha, is smiling at that in approval. Waste of another useful swordarm! Meh, this remained “barbarian lite”. Which is fine for that specific subject matter, of course, but even so its narrative form wavered between visual depiction and narrative prose. Along with considering what was already long-established by the time that came around in 2000. This meandered along and should've continued into ongoing series length, for more substance. Still, the dialogue. I'm not entirely critical, it was an alright-enough page-turner of barbarian fantasy; it just didn't have enough for me. Onwards, by Valka and by Crom! Thank you nonetheless for your review, Darksyde-Xaltotun of Python, and I'll see. You. Later.

This was the worst out of the four, the Predator feels shoehorned into this story, the other one-shot crossovers did a much better job incorporating the Predator into the story especially the X issue.
