Action! An almost entirely serious comic book showdown climax with literal, multiple casualties. When reading the previous issue set in the ancient Roman Empire parallel universe, I'd thought that mentions of a commissioner were about only that world's own commissioner. Not thinking of her as the police commissioner for all of the worlds. Now I think back to how those 'Roman' cops' bits of dialogue of her did foreshadow the character's major power worthy of that official, professional title. Junkie! Man, Officer “Toybox” Slinger's toys are creepy and cool-looking. While Commissioner Ultima was pretty man-ish in appearance...which Electric Pete was attracted to. I know, you and Dave have repeatedly mentioned how rainy and therefore cloudy and overcast the Netherlands may be or are, but, do you have cloud cover constantly hovering over YOUR house? 😛 I know what that could be like - this province I live in, has the most erratic weather on the continent (I've travelled to see so). I thought Jeff's “Smaxdown” battle with Ultima was great. I really wanted him to take her down; after I'd wanted Irma to fire up (pun intended, sure) all of her weaponry (not the nuke) and take out that wench...before Irma was 'powered down'. For once, I'd glossed over this opening page's first panel, so thanks for pointing out the Metropolis newspaper boys...but who did they shoot down, that were parachuting on the other side of the panel, haha!? I think your primary plot criticisms are 'jumping the gun' to the actual follow-up investigating, to the following issue (only two left!). Your questions would have occurred logically to these police and dictated their procedure, but the whacko addict threatening to destroy the entire city interrupted them. While the cliffhanger ending to this issue was sudden and a lead-on to the following one, I think your gripes are intended to be covered, in #11. The alien serial killer did have a precog vision that she would be killed in her jail cell, and just because she's dead doesn't mean her obnoxious fellow teammates will relent. More like, especially not since she's now dead while in police custody. May the Rumor is actually the Goose guy who's been assaulting womens' behinds. Still two issues left, Marinus, but only two! So those will be the wrap-up of this series. John Peacock is still in the other dimension, as well. More to come. I guess I enjoyed this issue more than you did, or, wasn't so disappointed. Well, we'll see what's next. Good stuff either way, thanks again for your review as I read along, and have a great one!
Finally we see some good oldfashioned superhero action!! yeah me too. Right. This series works better reading it back to back. there are so many things that i have missed becasue it's very story driven (in multiple ways). I like toybox. She is acoo lcharacter and she could be Toymans daughter if this was in the DC universe lol. Ultima was a old crone hahahha. Welll mostly xDDDD. It's 50/50 lol. Luckily it's not England were it's well 90% cloudy :p. I loved the battle! Smaxz looked strong and determined. yes he lost but still upholding his values "dead or alive, you're coming with me" - Robocop. If Irma shot that nuke then it would've be: "game over, man!!!"😂. They were the Newspaper biys right? i was right!!. Not sure who they were aiming at. yeah it makes me wonder if there were another mystery sourinding the death of Krazic/Gromolko (or what ver his name was), but what could it be? Hmm mreally? Interesting. I would'nt mind to explore m,ore of the background of that Alien killer, but she's dead now 😐. Ow man he isndeed somwwhat invisible. He COULD be the invisible groper hahaha. Ow yeah the Peacock story also need to be wraped up😵. Ow man. Will they deliver? Still it's a very good series so far. I trust the consistency continues, Mike🙂. Have a fantstic day and thanks for watching!!
