Scam-bots at it still using your name plate and just varying the name for the account by a digit or symbol. Just a heads up 👍
Just want to double down on this - hopefully you are aware of the potential issue
Echo, Fives, Waxer, and Rex were really on another level
Don’t forget Boil and Hardcase
Yes
@@DragonIWarrior2055 yes
or jesse and kix they dont get much screen time later on after the umbara ark and in s7 jesse was literally an ark trooper they just werent as lucky as the rest...
never forget Heavy
I hope we get to see Echo Base being named after Echo in his honor by the Rebel Alliance.
I never thought about that, but that would be awsome
That is a great idea
Always liked to picture the rebal alliance, named stuff after cloned as a memorial to them. I also think Echo base be named after him because of Rex. He would want it named after a dear brother and friend.
That would be a nice retcon
That’s amazing. I hope this is true!
I noticed right away they were giving a lot more character to echo in these first two episodes and I love that. He was always my favorite as soon as he joined them. As a grown grown I’d probably cry if they kill him off this season
Tech and echo were the weakest characters in season 1, it was a good idea to give them both extra development now
@@abnercliff9624 agreed. The writers were pretty smart as echo and tech were with omega and were separated from wrecker and hunter who were the strongest characters in season one
@@abnercliff9624 Indeed, really liking where it's going. Actually liking the both of them so far in Season 2.
They'll pull a Fives on him
Noooo! I won’t be able to take Echo dying! He’s one of my favorites!
Though Fives will always be my favorite, seeing Echo carrying on Domino Squad’s legacy warms my heart. Hope we see lots of him, and maybe a showdown with Cody alongside Rex and the boys at some point.
I have come from the future to say. The reason echo was absent for most of the series is because he would’ve hard carried the batch
Fives would have joined the Bad Batch if he was still alive.
*From what I can tell, Echo seems to have more stuff to do in this season which is great! I already liked his conversation with Hunter back on the ship. I'm definitely curious to see how they will expand on his character in this second season. Can't wait for episode 3 next week.*
Echo has always been my favorite clone❤️ I loved his nerdiness in the beginning of the clone wars and how he grew as a person and officer. I wish we got to see more of his ARC Trooper armor
Hope in S2 of the Bad Batch he get's his Clone Wars S6 concept art armour and hand.
Its the same for me
Echo has become the Bad Batch's Rex as he has a spark of rebellion in him and has the ideals and heart which will spark the rebel alliance to fight an enemy so numerous, powerful and technologically advanced it would be foolhardy to do so and using this underestimation from the Empire and the rebels madness they will eventually be the victors of the Galactic Civil War replacing a tyrannical government with ideals of old which Echo would have wanted.
Am I the only one surprised Echo didn’t have much of a response when he learned Fives, his last squad mate , died? The man is resilient
I wanted to see him react or mention Fives but they never did it which made me sad
@@TheBigBoss551 ikr? 🥲
Clones have always viewed themselves as expendables yes he may have been saddened by it but he may have just accepted it as part of their fate and he may have felt some kind of relief to know that to his last breath Fives fought for the Republic and died as a hero.
I firmly believe echo put fox on his list of imps he's gonna put down
Most likely he was told about it offscreen. When Rex brings it up, it sounds as if they have discussed Fives before and it would honestly be more shocking if Echo hadn't asked Rex about Fives soon after his rescue.
And on top of that, after going through such a horrific experience, Echo's ability to feel/express emotions has probably been dulled. His almost robotic response to Fives' mention is likely due to both his cybernetics (having a half droid brain) and due to PTSD.
Echo is definitely a very important member to the squad. As an ARC, he has very valuable skills and knowledge. Without Crosshair they are down a member and in the previous season Echo was able to fill in whatever position they needed. He also acts as a voice of reason and provides a clear moral compass which is important for young Omega to learn.
The way he interacts with Hunter reminds me of Fives in the Umbarra arc of Clone Wars. Fives acted as number 2 to Rex and while he still very much respected Rex, he didn't hesitate to speak his mind and speak out on behalf of the other clones. Echo is doing this with Hunter but speaking about all the clones who are imprisoned by the empire and their chips. I think because of his own horrific imprisonment, he empathises with the clones who are being mentally imprisoned and forced to mindlessly serve the empire the way he was with the CIS.
I think he is somewhat underappreciated by the rest of the squad who sometimes forget he is not just a regular clone with some droid parts, but he was one of the most highly skilled clones in the GAR. I'm looking forward to seeing him hopefully have more of a focus this season.
Also, I first read the title on the thumbnail as Echo is always sold, which is sadly not entirely inaccurate.
Cadet, trooper, Arc trooper and Bad Batcher. Echo has been from the first months of the Clone Wars to fighting the Empire years later. Echo is really a treasure
Echo definitely wasn't cold or (IMO) unemotional. He was intelligent and principled, and like you say, empathetic. I've actually liked the fact that we see his humor and sarcasm and he's NOT a dull robot by any means. The fact that they defied that trope/stereotype with him is something I LOVE. He's the kind of person I would like to hope I could be.
Totally awesome to see Echo's development from fresh scrub to commando, the ups and downs. He is a guy who survives and wins because he knows why he fights at all times.
I cried when Echo "died" (I was about 10). He was my favorite character in The Clone Wars, and my favorite characters always seem to die, in anything really, but when they brought him back in season 7 it was like that "beautiful as the day I lost you" meme.
Hearing Echo tell Omega he'd do everything they've been through all over again put a smile on my face 😊 That was a nice moment👌
I'm just going to say 2 things: I'm really happy they brought Echo back. And too bad it wouldn't be possible with Fives...
I think any episodes that show some character development are great and these first two episodes did just that. Echo's perspective is really good. He's the most empathic of the squad in spite of all of the horrible things done to him by the Separatists.
I feel like Echo is Hunter's second-in-command. He is the one, after Crosshair, who argues with Hunter about what they are doing. Wrecker and Tech usually just go along with Hunter.
Everyone first thought of Echo as a follower, but he was always being a leader. And now, in his current machine-like form, there’s still a lot of humanity left in him.
Amazing video man Echo is probably my favorite clone trooper :)
I've noticed that Echo has done a 180 in terms of his personality, as during the clone wars, he always followed orders, but now that he has joined the bad batch, he has broken orders a lot
Echo's fascinating in this regard. His motivation is human - containing empathy, a genuine sense of brotherhood, and generally a benevolent drive. His actions are informed by the processing and logic of a machine, not allowing emotions to trap him into foolish decisions, but instead considering how the action will lead to his goal - that same goal that is human in origin.
I think Hunter is the perfect #2 for any comando unit. He is an independent thinker and problem solver, but is extremely disciplined to orders like we saw in episode 2. On top of this the way he talks to Hunter shows his ability to speak his mind without stepping on the line of disrespect, which is something every number 1 needs.
I think u meant Echo at the start
Echo, always "echoing" the rules would have made a perfect " good soldiers follow orders" Order 66 clone even without the inhibitor chip and his ordeal as the Seppies' algorithm device. So I'm glad his story turned out the way it did as he's definitely one of my favorites 🤓😎✌🏻
he was my favourite clone since season 1 of the clone wars in 2008. Thank you for this insight in his character!
I wonder if Echo will upgrade his robot arm into a blaster cannon.
Because bitches love cannons.
That reminds me of an anime back in the day called Cobra, where the main character could annihilate an entire army with his bionic arm/canon.
@@lavryadam4774 reminds me why I hate most anime. Power creep and shit like that. Its completly takes me out of the story.
Scavenges a B2 arm
I think what he has works well. It's sturdy and allows him some versatility.
I’ve always wanted them to give him a projectile grappling claw attachment over his droid port accessor. Could you imagine him fighting with it using it like Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. “Get Over Here!”
Glad Echo is given more screen time and dialogue in this season so far
I think because he was a reg and therefore started as a less specialized clone he’s able to see the big picture in a way many in the batch can’t
Echo is underrated. He is insanely good at stealth missions and the most emotionally intelligent of the Batch. I feel like the Bad Batch are emotionally stunted compared to some of the regs, especially Echo and Rex
Off topic but Echo means a lot to me. When Battlefront 1 and 2 first came out. And this was before the clone wars series was a thing. I named my Trooper in both games "Echo" then when the clone wars series came out and introduced echo at some point I was like "Thats my clone trooper! Holy shit !" And with how far he's gone is just cool to me personally.
Echo is my second favorite clone behind Fives
i have to post this somewhere, i just watched the 2 episodes of S2 last night.
I believe that the BB is being used by Sid and the pirates to create a diversion, while the BB draws attention on the surface the pirates who brought the info to them are hijacking at least one entire transport ship in orbit, which the BB will find out when they return to Sid. maybe they get a cut of that? (that may be a stretch)
Echo the MVP of Bad Batch
Watching this after this week’s episodes is interesting.
Good stuff. Love the bad batch! And Echo Def plays a big part in the crew
Alan spoke simlish for the first five secs. Please never change ur awesome:D
I have to wonder if Echo brings in the element of a regular clone to the team. Tech’s the smart guy, Wrecker the heavy duty, Hunter is the leader, Crosshair was the marksman, Omega is the newbie, but then there’s Echo. His tech role could easily be taken by Tech. What Echo brings is the pov of regular clones since the Bad Batch for the most part don’t work with regular clones or really like to.
I love what this channel has become, with a thorough analysis/review of the story and characters! A few years back when I first encountered it I found it kind of annoying despite it presenting lore, but now it's become quite awesome!
Echo and Fives are the most fleshed out non main characters in all of Star Wars. Both serve the Heroes Journey. Fives starts out as a reluctant leader, and ends as a voice of reason. Echo starts out as a second rate follower, and now serves as the heart and soul of Clone Force 99.
Echo was my favorite in clone wars. So having him have an actual role in another show made me so happy. And what they are doing in season 2 I am here for it. 😊
🤣🤣Thank you so much for your intro on this video, that really gave me a good laugh 🤣
Echo's going to keep repeating himself this season
I wish that we could have gotten more episodes of Domino squad and Echo during the Clone Wars.
I think it says a lot about the “reg” clones natural urge to stand up to injustice that Echo, no longer weighed down by the chip, is the one advocating the loudest for helping the broader galaxy. It speaks to their genetics and training but it also goes a long way to make them the sympathetic characters they are. Especially the ones still required to act on behalf of the empire. Makes you wonder that, had the same order been in place without the chips like in legends, would the clones have naturally seen the injustice themselves and not help facilitate the inception of the empire? If a regular clone without a chip like echo can call out the empire, why not all of them? I do like the drawn out nature of the conflict in seeing the clones slowly fight the programming but I also love the idea of those perfect soldiers proving to be so by immediately refusing to serve the empire.
Echo is my favorite clone
It is a shame how the treasure hunt went, RIP Ctp.
What I liked is that they gave tech a cool scene, you tend to forget tech is still a clone commando and would body most other clones wxcept he is around wrecker and hunter all the time making you forget. Echo too got kinda shafted with them forgetting hees an ARC trooper like give the dude a robot hand that can pop out the droid dongle and let him lose as a cyborg commando
wow, this was a very well made and insightful video! Thank you for making it; I feel like I understand Echo much more as a character now! :)
If you think about it, Bad Batch has the opportunity to promote Echo from a secondary guest character in a few episodes to retroactively making him one of the minor protagonists of the Clone Wars.
The intro left me weak!! Keep up the great content!
That intro was on another level
Best intro ever, dude. I laughed so much I snorted 😂😂
So Dooku is a top class sufficient theif. Just shows how much he really fell.
The toughest of choices - who’s your favorite Domino squad member? Echo or Fives.
Personally, it’s VERY close, but Fives. We’ll see how the rest of season 2 goes with Echo.
I enjoy Alan's random intros, never let them know your next move
That intro was spot on!
0:01 well said.
Echo is an excellent trooper. What do we make of Rex and him not getting a moment to say goodbye in person on Bracca? Writer oversight?
Bringing back Echo was better than bringing back Maul change my mind.
@inboxmeonTele.... no thanks fake account
How the hell did i perfectly understand your mumbling at the beginning
6:05 Echo is a good soldier who follows orders..........
That intro was perfect
So the Bad Batch is basically going to become Star Wars : The A Team!
Um, what do you mean is GOING to become 🤷🏼♂️🤓😎✌🏻
This is Star Wars and Echo can't find a bionic hand somewhere laying around!!?
It would add complexity to his prostesis. What he has works well and is very sturdy. He uses it as a weapon several times.
On an unrelated topic, but it does concern clone force 99 and echo is this season 2I hope they try to remove Commander Cody‘s inhibitor chip. If you remember, Commander Cody is the one that brought in clone force 99 on the battle of Anaxes. They have a special bond with Commander Cody, and so does Echo and captain Rex. I would really like to see them pull that off.
That intro got me BAD. Cracked me up
Edit: I f Echo had no source, no orders, no goal he could achieve, who would he become?
Echo seems to have just the right amount of emotion...
I think the most unfortunate misunderstanding most people have about science is that emotions have nothing to do with reasoning. Emotions might be the key reason why computers arent as intelligent as us yet, and people attempting to abandon their emotions in pursuit of being smarter or making better decisions are misled to say the least. Emotions are the best pattern recognition systems we have and not trusting them as if they are only there to get in our way is just wrong.
My reaction to this video intro: "So true."
best intro yet
0:05 hey it's Don Corleone 🙂.
echo best boi
Why did I restart my RUclips thinking it was messed up cause the intro lmao 🤣 😂 💀
i love the into changes :) you are the best
Thank you for fixing the wings on your lego Tie
Nice overview of Echo.
Love the intro. Top tier.
personally think what echo went through broke him emotionally
...so if guys learned fencing you could take the security wand idea and craft two lightsabers with lightweight rounded metal blades that made a sound on contact with oneanother...but when making contact with any part of the contact-strips on the covering being worn it emits a high whine...?
What I’d give for a big cashe of treasure. We all need the “Big One”
Anybody else hear the intro just fine? 😅
Great video, as usual. I just wanted to let you know that your had is crooked. I'm here for you buddy.
So Echo is now more important than ever because without him as the voice of reason, the Bad Batch can be easily split and be picked up one-by-one eventually.
Best intro in the world ever
Echo and Fives were the best and awesome Ark Troopers especially I would love to be a clone trooper then become a Ark Trooper!!!!!
Echo is just a good guy that is a good soldier too.
Yep. Echo is my favorite of the Batch.
He's very capable and caring.
It's not wrong that I now introduce myself as "my name is Allan", since my name is Allan. Thanks, Generation Tech.
The start of the video killed me lmao 😂😂
It may be that Echo is the one clone trooper who we the viewers have seen more than any other.
I do love Echo!
Imagine this is the first video someone watches on your channel. “Hello friends” became “mémémémumé….mémé”
0:01 i relate
I almost got spoiled there I’ll be more careful next time
Love Echo but never understood one thing, Rex put his hand on his armor giving him a "Five" - shouldn't that have happened to FIVES, lol 😆
You should do a video about Cid’s pirate friend when she gets more screen time
I’m surprised Echo still hasn’t gotten a prosthetic hand attachment for his arm. Guess he’s content with it.
Echo needs a robotic had that can pop out his slicer like what Robocop has. Then he could finally have two hands again.
Only if fives joined the Bad Batch to say he lost both his legs at the Citadel. Would have gotten cyberlegs.
